Okay so I had my phone working fine with stock rom rooted.
Then I got beats by dr dre and thought of meddling with my phone and installing beats audio on it.
Got a .zip from xda and installed it through normal android recovery (Volume up + Home + Power)
Then, when it rebooted, it refused to go past the Galaxy Wonder screen.
Then to reset it, I tried resetting to factory using the Android Recovery ( Volume Up + .... )
No use, same problem. So I thought, I might as well flash to a custom ROM.
Downloaded ODIN, and tried to install ClockworkMOD from acro68.
Followed instructions started ODIN and then clicked on Start. After that, it gave the following :
<1> recovery.img download..
<1> 1/1 Finished.
<1> reset pda..
<0> Started Timer
<1> Close serial port and wait until rebooting.
Click to collapse
And then my phone stopped at Samsung Galaxy W screen again.
After that I did the same sequence, this time checked out Auto Restart and then ODIN stopped at
setup connection
I can still enter Android Recovery and Downloading menu, but it gets stuck on reboot.
Any help would be largely appreciated
Ok guys solved
For those wondering how,
I when my phone refused to restart and ODIN kept on waiting for it to reset, I switched off the phone.
And since it was connected to USB it started charging and ODIN worked its magic
Then, I installed a custom ROM and voila phone's working again

So I have liquid smooth 4.2.2 installed with along of Clockworkmod recovery. However this morning i recieved a notification saying that i had a gapps update. so i I went ahead and downloaded the zip file. When attempted to install, it asked if i have a recovery system or something like that. Me very ignorantly selected no and my phone guided me to download a different recovery. so i went ahead and installed it and after it booted i rkept on recieving a message that said unfortanely gapps has stopped. Then I thought that if i did a factory reset it would reset my whole phone and hopefully clear this error. I went ahead and pressed home, power and volume up and bam thats when i realized i overwrote my clockworkmod recovery with another recovery. It had to options to factory reset so i went ahead and tried it anyways. when the phone booted i still recieved the error message but this time it also had the message "setup wizard has stopped." im stuck with the screen you get when you intiially set up your phone and i can't do anything about it. I try pressing home, volume up, and the power button but it doesnt bring me to the recovery screen. Instead it just loads back to the initial setup screen after a while. When i try plugging it in the computer it doesnt not read. I cant do anything. Please help me! I just got the phone about a couple months ago and am to poor to buy another one.
Did you try going to download mode by holding volume down + home + power buttons?

This guide will get your phone back up and running properly. Doing anything else will just prolong your problem.
Easy and sure way fix your problem - Here is s step by step guide:
Download the newest pre-rooted Samsung Galaxy S3 T999 Jellybean v4.1.2 rom: T999_UVDMD5
After downloading make a folder on your computer's desktop and unzip the file using Winzip or 7zip so the .TAR file
is in the new folder you just made. Download and extract Odin into the same folder you made containing the TAR file
Here is the link for Odin: Odin_Flash
• Download ODIN which is required for flashing the stock rooted firmware (a windows app)
• Download the Odin Flash firmware for T999 Tmobile then copy it to the same folder as Odin
• Run Odin by double clicking the Odin.exe within the same folder as the TAR file you extracted
• Turn off your phone and boot into DOWNLOAD MODE (Volume Down + Home + Power Hold until phone powers up,
then release and press Volume Up to enter Download Mode)
• Once in Download Mode, connect the USB/Charger cable to the phone and plug into the USB port on your computer.
• You should now see a COM** port listed toward the top-left of Odin (under ID:COM)
• Click on the PDA button in the middle-right area of Odin.
• Browse to and select the rom you just downloaded (TAR file).
• Make sure Auto-Reboot and F. Reset Time are the only options checked and that PDA is the only other thing checked.
• TRIPLE CHECK your settings and that you have selected the correct firmware for your model phone and are using the correct options.
• If you are using a laptop, make absolutely sure you are plugged in, or if on battery, that it is charged enough and will not go into sleep mode during flash.
• Click Start to begin the flash. This will take a while, so be patient!
• Once complete, in the top-left box in Odin, it will say PASS and the phone should have automatically rebooted.
• You may unplug the phone and close Odin if you wish.
• Wait at least 5-10 minutes for the system to boot the first time and then build its cache!
• (It may seem to hang during boot, this is normal and you must be patient!!!)
Good Luck!
Okay, this is my third time flashing a new ROM to my android device. As always I entered Clockwork mod Recovery. I wiped data and cache, done a system backup and tried to flash Rootbox 4.2 for Galaxy SIII (Yeah I know I'm stupid, don't know if it'll work just was giving it a shot because Rootbox doesn't have support for Galaxy W I guess, or I missed it) It gave me a status 7 error and aborted the installation. I tried to reboot my phone but I couldn't open it. It can go into the phones recovery mod (not CWR) but I can't do anything in there too, it says "Downloading now" and just starts downloading something which takes forever.
I seriously have no idea what to do (Yeah, a total noob here) so anyone can please help me?
Edit: Okay I found that it's called ODIN mode and when I click volume up it starts downloading something but it takes long so I should wait.
Edit 2: I realized I need Odin downloader to flash firmware but I DON'T have any connection between my phone/laptop. And there's no slot to put my sd card in and transfer files so I can't transfer anything. I tried to open it up in safe mode and normally lots of times but no luck.
Please help me.
You have to connect via usb cabel
And install Odin on your PC.
Then flash a Stockrom in it.
Sent from my potato
But I can't because usb debugging is not enabled and I can't boot the phone. The usb just doesn't work, it does not charge my phone or get recognized by my laptop.

You have to boot the phone on download mode (volume down + home button) and connect it in your laptop. Then, use Odin's tutorial to flash stock rom.
you better install samsung USB driver first

Hi!
My problem is that I tried to install the twrp to my 7.0, and I flashed it, but as i used the auto-reboot option, it didn't installed the twrp, so via the tutorial (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2437219) i switched off the auto-reboot, and flashed the recovery.
The tab now stuck at download mode, and if i pull out, and plug in the cable again, cant flash in odin, cause it stucks at the "SetupConnection.." part. The PC recognizes the tab, and the odin too, but can't flash. (I tried all of my usbs, restart the pc)
Thank you!:crying:

Hold the power button in for about 10 secs or more to reboot.
If you want to reboot to download mode to try and reflash, Hold the Power button and Home button and Volume Down button.
tnx
Thank You! I belived that it stucked in download mode
Hello 2 days ago my smartphone (n7100 @phantom_V13_N7100XXUFNI2_XEO with agni kernel) restarted many times for no reasons.
I went to Touch recovery and wiped cache , did not help at all.
Later my phone just restarted and couldn't work, stuck at samsung n7100 logo so i thought i have to flash it with odin.
I've pulled my laptop from old desk - because it has Xp installed, I installed all samsung usb drivers, odin and tried to flash some stock roms i've always recivd NAND WRITE START FAIL
so i borrowed from my friend USB cable from S3.
I downloaded from samfirmwares N7100XXUFNI2_N7100XEOFNI1_XEO so the latest for Poland, added package (md.5) at Ap option via odin 3.09 and it flashed but while selecting country and other options it restarted.
And here i'm stuck at Samsung Galaxy Note ][ Gt-n7100 all over again... I tried going into recovery (now i have stock recovery) wipe data/cache and pull of battery, next i puted battery in download mode and again odin 3.09 md.5 file N7100XXUFNI2_N7100XEOFNI1_XEO at Ap and problem goes again. Now it doesn't even go into android configuration just bootlop
And ideas?
If anyone is intrested i fixed it by myself! All thanks to xda, google and my friends USB cable.
For endless problems with nand write fail i used friends cable from his S3 and laptop with clean Xp sp3 + samsung usb drivers
Main reason for whole problem was... battery ! It has 4.05 V instead of 4.35 V so after i flash system via odin and unplug it from cable it destroys the "android setup files"
If You're not sure if its battery or not try this one.
1. Install usb drivers
2. Install odin ( 3.09 worked for me )
3. download firmware ( 4.4 XEO (Poland version ) worked for me.
4. go into phone twrp/normal recovery and wipe cache, data like u always do
5. put downloaded package in AP section, UNCHECK auto restart in options
6. plug phone & start flashing
7. after odin is finished, unplug the phone connect it to charger and restart it.
8. keep Yours finger crossed
9. voi'la system is working
10. buy yourself a nice original battery
ok so i had the latest cm13 rom on my phone partition is in ext4 had many issues with the rom so i went to flash the stock rom with odin
while the firmware was loading my usb cable failed and an error popped up saying odin process was aborted then the com port went empty (the phone disappeared) no the phone will not go into download mode while trying to get into download mode every thing looks good till you press the up button an you go to odin mode but with a message: firmware upgrade encountered an issue. please select recovery mode in kies and try again.
however my pc will not recognize my phone any more and i can not get into recovery either
in fact if i just plug the phone in it boots up to this message screen without even touching any buttons
I have tried just about everything i can think of even a unified toolkit but nothing will work as i cant access recovery or odin or kies???
I have also gone threw the forums and was not able to find anything pertaining to this directly
please help
