let say if i usually use my arc S just to text and make calls, which means, i have my DATA, WIFI, and bluetooth switched OFF all the time, does using battery saving applications like juicedefender would still help me to further save my battery life?
Delete bloatware apps if you are rooted and supercharge it with supercharger v6.
Also turn off the data sync

No it wont. Infact you will have MORE battery backup if you don't use it at all.
It just switches off your data connection when you lock your phone.

No need to patch it yourself. Someone has already done that for you. Just download the zip from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=23316166&postcount=51 and flash the zip in CWM.

Recovery is very easy. Just find the installer from the themes and apps section and install it. Reboot your phone and at the sony Ericssons logo press volume down several times. Select install .zip and select the supercharger package.

You can extract the files and copy them yourself with root explorer if you want (remember to fix permissions), but IMO recovery is easier.
I'm running the newest busybox (1.19 I think) and it's fine. 100% supercharged.
edit: oh, remember the .odex file as well if your using root explorer.

When you're running the supercharger script in script manager it will tell you when you run one of the scripts.. Can't remember if it's when you select the bhp settings or when bullet proofing.
Basically if you read all the text it says somewhere 25%, 50%, 75% & 100% supercharged!

In the driver's console choose an option from 5-7 for 512 ram menu to change OOM. Some say that option 6 is best for Arc because it's balanced. Depends on how you use your phone.
When that's done choose option 17 and bullet proof select apps e.g phone, sms & launcher.
You don't need nitro lag nullifier to be 100% supercharged. I didn't do that because it said that it was experimental and could affect wifi or bluetooth.

Seems like this is becoming needed, with so many redundant and ridiculous posts in the developer's thread.
Firstly, here's the scoop from Avalaunch himself:
Im proud to release, a 100% fully functional 2.2 Sense for the HTC Evo.
It is the official rom. and you will not lose root.
Working-EVERYTHING!!!
Bt works
4G works
3G tethering works (legally of course)
Wifi works
You can now record with the camcorder.(see i promised you all i would fix it by the weekend)
If you can not start 4G on first boot, restart. if you still cant, then wipe and flash the ROM ONLY!
Lastly, i can not be blamed for bricking or anything that may happen. follow my instructions and you should be set.
If there are any little issues, i will address them at a later time. i have had one hour of sleep and worked all day. im sorry but i dont care right now
Quirks-not all applications will show up in market. this will be fixed after google adds the evo to the database after release.
- i did not install busybox because of 4G issues. CLICK PROBLEMS? ON TITANIUM BACKUP TO ALLOW IT TO INSTALL BUSYBOX
and yes. i beat a company in releasing their software
Special thanks to Sprint, Google, and HTC for the amazing work they did. Super special thanks to Sprint for finally listening to customers and proving they ARE the best network

3) Wipe data, cache, and dalvik cache
4) Flash the ROM
5) Flash the radio
6) Reboot, it will return to recovery
7) Flash the wimax update

Download and the latest android-wifi tether from here: http://code.google.com/p/android-wi...me=wireless_tether_2_0_5-pre4.apk&can=2&q=Evo
Reboot your phone.
Open wifi tether, go to settings, hit menu, and "reinstall binaries/configs".
See if it works now.

- 5 sensor multitouch works

Flash this on top of the ROM. To restore the camera, FLASH THE ORIGINAL ROM

I tried reinstalling busybox via Titanium Backup. Terminal emulator's first command is "export PATH=/data/local/bin:$PATH"
Should that be changed so that su commands can be used in all directories?

This firmware has the hacked kernel by supercurio, for safety reason you need to download and extract Voodoo Internal SDcard from the link above and copy the extracted Voodoo folder to the Internal SD-card of your device before flashing the firmware, this will prevent Voodoo from converting the file system to EXT4 on first boot.
You have to keep Voodoo folder on the Internal SD-card if you intend to use the stock RFS file system, but if you need to enable Voodoo then remove the folder and reboot the device, then let supercurio's chipmunk do it's business.

Can I flash this with repartioning on CM7 directly or should I go back to stock 2.2.1 first ?
And does this rom have a lot of static pops and cracks while listening to music that Stock 2.3 beta has ?
I'm uploading the new firmware, the issue was minor, there was a line missing in build.prop which I forgot to add:
# Samsung USB default mode
persist.service.usb.setting=0
If the user chooses Settings>Wireless and networ>USB settings Setting will crash, and the device cannot connect to kies.
I will add the correct build.prop to the first post telling how to copy it.

It's like any other stock firmware that you flash with Odin, I don't know if you should re-partition because you have CM7. I did not experience any static pops on this firmware, although I did not hear a lot music on this firmware, but no issues so far.
I really can't see any difference. It feels the same (like the odexed stock version) to me. I had flashed the odexed stock with 803 pit including the bootloaders and already patched the build.prop. I flashed this one without repartition (I was on 512 pit this time). Seems that the only thing missing is the framework-res.apk with the lock animation (TV-CRT) .
I'll be back if I find something else.
Thanks.
Almost forgot: It did wipe even without repartition
And you should mention that no bootloaders included.

Try this, do a factory-reset at recovery and see if it's still the same. XWJV1 does lag as I remember it, this does not, maybe once in a while, but it can't be the same as the stock firmware.

In any case, its incorrect.
You should only deodex if you need to make smali changes to the firmware. Images can still be replaced in odexed builds.
If you are really measuring speed, odex version's first boot is instant whereas deodex'ed version's first boot is hella long. After first boot, they are equivalent in speeds.
As for zipalign, it is suppose to reduce ram usage of an apk, so even there you won't notice a speed difference.
Hope that makes it clear.

I don't know what happened to the root of my phone (wildfire s A510e) everything was working just fine but recently from 2-3 the root is not working, just the Es File Manager app is working.. And when I run any other thing which requires root like the "Busybox Installer", they say that there is no root. But I downloaded the app "root checker" from the market and it says that I'm rooted :O ... I rooted my phone 2 times - 1. By flashing the root.zip file by xda.cn 2. Htc supertools v3 ..
Nothing seems to solve the problem ...please help me...if you want I can give you the logcat too...lol. It was working just fine before, but don't know what happened.
I don't want to flash the rom again, because I'll have to install all the apps again. :O I'm using modpunk's CyanogenMod 9.0.0-RC0_marvel-ALPHA2. Help me please??

Huh? That is modpunk's port. Benjamin just typed a few commands and waited a few hours for it build from modpunk's git. Anyone can do that. He hasn't contributed any code to the project at all, so I'm struggling to see where you got this idea that it's by him.
Stay on subject guys ...
To OP, just flash a root.zip from recovery, that should do the trick.
You'll have to re-upgrade Superuser after that, but it should be functional.
Also, in Superuser, verify that "Automatic Response" in settings isn't set to "Deny".

[email protected]:/ $"
Still no "#" x( Da fuq is this? .......Anyways I'll try your rom too.

If anyone can do that, why don't you do it? Huh? Why don't you contribute the code required...like for the partially working camera or other things, huh? Cuz you just know how to insult people and nothing else. Now I want to use swear words lol xD But I think I'll be damned from xda for weeks so I won't. Anyways thanks for replying. Have a good day.

Now the root problem is partially solved by re-installing the ICS ROM BY BENJAMINN,
I mean now at least the root dialogues comes asking to allow or deny but when I put su in terminal it says " [2] + Stopped (tty input) su
[email protected]:/ $ "
Still no " # " ..
And to the root flashing thing -
L0L I did it like 999100929 Times. xD I flashed the root.zip (xda.CN) and updated Superuser, plus Updated the Su Binaries. and the Automatic Response is set to Prompt. And now as I told above the prompt is however revived but the su command in terminal is not working.
Why the su command ?

I rooted my xperia m dual using vroot 1.7.1. Replaced the Chinese superuser with supersu 1.65. I got the root permissions this way. Also installed busybox v1.21.1 in system/xbin using normal install method. Then I try gl2sd, but whenever I click on mount, after mounting, my device reboots. I am on stock rom v4.2.2, rooted, bootloader locked. I hope there must be some way out to make it work without unlocking the bootloader, coz it was working on single sim version without any need to unlock bootloader. Help asap developers

You need a rootfixer.Your phone is half rooted therefore everytime you try to write in /system it reboots.
Try using this guide and dont forget the 4th step.

If it reboots it means ur phone is half rooted with framaroot. There's one post on how to fully root Xperia m try that and it will not reboot on using root apps then.

From past few days i m thinking of installing google store and google now on my Nokia XL Phone. I read lot of threads and watch many videos. But still unable to make decision. So far i have downloaded 3 tool kits 1) NokiaXMgr_v1.0.0.0 2) Ultimate tool v1.1 3) Universal Toolkit Setup. Which one i should choose? Now i have stock Rom. Please also tell me, is it safe to install custom ROM. If Yes, then which one is the best? Most of threads are for NOKIA X. That is why i am bit confused. Eagerly waiting for your response. Thanks in advance.
Use Universal toolkit to install google play it's so easy, custom roms are not completely stable but the best one is Xperia ROM

You can boot to custom recovery or install it, then wipe your current rom, then install custom rom files: "ROM+XL Patch+Camera Patch", After ROM installed use toolkit to fix Radio&APN

I think there are some security concern in universal kit. BTW i don't use antivirus. Either windows is blocking or it is buggy, i don't know. I have rooted my device using TWRP 2.7 (via Nokia X manager). But i m facing issue while backing up my Stock Rom. As i said screen is turning black. Each time i have to remove the battery.

Guys! i have successfully installed the ROM:victory: Whole process took around 45 minutesgood: However the biggest pain in ass was installing ADB drivers:crying: Somehow windows was not detecting it. That is why i decided to share my experience, so that u don't waste ur valuable time. After installing the ADB drivers, simply install the NokiaCareSuiteForStore 5.4.:good: Luckily it is available at XDA forum itself
All credit goes to @YSH ALSAGER. Awesome! man u deserve unlimited Thanks!:good:
However there are just few bugs left. Which is listed below:
1) FM is not working
2) Walkman keeps popping error "unfortunately download music info has stopped"
3) It is not detecting the storage properly. Internal as external and vice versa.
That's it, rest is working like a charm. I m really happy:laugh:

You can Fix radio by my zip fix, For walkman just delete download music info from system apps, and For MTP change it from Settings app then Storage options, press menu and change it to MTP.
Note: If you want to use this ROM in other language (it's only Indonesian and English) just Flash its language Pack by me Here
