Hi everyone, I'm new here.
I really love the stock browser it supports flash which many other browsers now don't. The problem I am having is internet pages are taking 5 mins to load sometimes I have to reset it because it takes so long and the loading bar doesn't move.
Is anyone having this problem? What can I do? I have looked on the app store other browsers do not support flash anymore I used to use opera mobile.
Thanks people.

Try clearing the data and cache out of the stock browser and see if that speeds things up. IMO however Chrome is the best and quickest browser available (and it supports Flash I think)
Hi and welcome
i'm having the same prob as you but it's been happening to me randomly on and off for years, i guess it can't be rom related or even phone related so it must be the signal/reception in the area ... have you tried on wifi?
Chrome doesn't support flash otherwise I would use it as it is really good. Stock is good just has its moments when it doesn't work. I haven't had any problems with wifi on so far but then I have only started having problems with the browser today. It might just be the reception and the signal like you said due to the rain (In the UK).

That's a shame. When Chrome comes out of Beta then im sure it going to support Flash (desktop version already has it built in).
When is it coming out of beta?

I have the same problem, with the stock browser and chrome. "connection to the server timed out". I actually sold my original X because of it. It's not as often on my new one.
My DHD was the same, but at least "Force stop" fixed the problem. No such luck with my X.

OK guys so my Galaxy Nexus runs fine for the most part but the browsing is horrendous at times.
I go to nytimes.com and I pinch to zoom and there's a few seconds before it does anything. The same thing happened when I tried to scroll down. This happens on multiple sites.
I used both the stock browser and Chrome with similar results. The rom and kernel I'm using are shown in the picture I attached.
Is there any fix for this? So far the GSII browser kills both the GN browser and Chrome browser, it's not even close.

Which sites specifically? My browser is very smooth on %95 of sites, but certain ones give these problems. Its somewhat rare.
nytimes.com defaults to a mobile site. So I requested the desktop site, and its buttery smooth on zooming in and out with pinch.
Go go this site and zoom in and out a few times. Wait for the site to fully load then try it again but have one finger one the picture. That site and others give me problems sometimes.

That site scrolls very smooth for me. The pinch zoom did give a hiccup stutter though, but not too bad. I can see something is not right though, a chunk of text kept jumping around. Rendering problem maybe. But its definitely acceptable to me in terms of scrolling the page for reading, very smooth. I rarely use pinch zoom though. I always double tap instead.
OK thanks guys. Maybe some sites aren't coded well or something
Now if Google could only fix the Gallery problem lol. When you transfer your pictures over they get organized in a weird way instead of in alphabetical order and then the images within the folders are out of order.
I know I can download an app but I like the stock gallery browser.

Hi everyone,
I was on the stock latest official with my Epic 4G Touch White. Last weekend I updated to FB17 via Odin and I believe since then my phone has been overheating for no reason.
At one point it was so bad that when I put my phone on my ear it burned my ear, and I had to take it off. It was literally that hot. I think it happens more when it's charging, but right now it's doing it and I'm not even charging it. Right now it's warm, not hot, but it does get really hot some times when I'm not even using it.
Anyone know why this is happening? Is it FB17?
EDIT: ...it's dolphin browser.

So you think its dolphin browser... Cause I use DB on the daily and have never had issues with my phone overheating.
I am running the FB17 Flashed through Rogue CWM and i have had no problems with heat, but i have seen alot of complaints about this rom making their phone really hot. one thing that might help is to leave the gps off unless using navigation because the 3g with show your location in maps and on google.

Check the picture I posted.
Are you leaving DB by pressing home? Are you leaving DB with flash content or something graphic intensive while leaving it in the background?

I saw the picture... That is strictly indicating that Dolphin browser is using the majority of your battery life, not that it is increasing the overall temp of your phone. I think rigorous is right, my guess would also be that it is ROM related. Were you seeing this issue when using DB with your previous setup before FB17?
Close the browser by pressing on exit in the menu...
This closes all the tabs, all the scripts and all the flash contents...

I decided to flash the new rooted FB17 along with CWM and a new theme.
I'm not going to install Dolphin Browser, so far no more overheating issues.
Its not just dolphin, it's any browser. When you browse sites in desktop UA, it will cause the CPU to work harder. When viewing mobile sites, it doesn't overheat

Today my phone, for no known reason is trying to download this "tmm.jpg,ttm.jpg" I cannot not stop the process as yet, this is what I have tried...
1. Long and short pressing the icon (nothing happens)
2. Toggling on and off wifi and network data
3. Restart
4. Turn on and off
5. Stopping all running apps
6. 3 & 4 again
Yet it is still trying to download, I have no idea what tmm.jpg,tmm.jgp is, but, I assume some kind of picture file, maybe something to do with android or the 3 branding on my phone?
I am on 3 network UK and yesterday I upgraded to 1.28.771.9 the latest 3 branded software.
Not only is this problem annoying, but it is killing my battery. Please can someone help I don't want to factory restore if I don't have to.
Here is a screen shot...

Weird, it has finally stopped downloading on its own, after about 2 hours?!! Not sure what it was, but should this happens to anyone else just wait, it takes a long time whatever it is.

Thanks I'm sure you're post will help others. Fortunatly for me this issue hasn't returned, touch wood.

Nothing to do with 3, look's like you went on a website with some sort of virus. If that download has completed, I'd be extremely weary. I recommend Kaspersky or maybe even AVG like mentioned above.
Hi all,
Just installed avast anti virus from the market, it says my phone is virus free so that's a relief.

Ok, I've searched and can't find much of anything on this.
I randomly get logged out/signed out of Facebook several times a week/day now. It's a real pain. I have to sign back in and go through the setup again.
What causes this and is there a fix for it? I'm guessing it must be device specific or something. I obviously have the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. (4.2.1)
Basically, I'll be using it, and everything is fine. Then, my "likes" stop working, and a few moments later I see this.....

Yeah, I've done both, thanks.
It comes and goes. No problems today thus far.
I also start logged into Facebook via Trillian, to keep me "always online" but that doesn't seem to be the reason.
I'm clueless really.

I guess that's possible, thanks. It might be a while before I upgrade again. Will probably wait for the first 4.2.2 to roll out. Then I'll see...
A new version of Facebook was released on the market today...fingers crossed......
i have the same issue... did the update fix it?
This has been happening to me a lot, and I'm using an HTC One. I'm not sure why.
i've got this problem to, but in my case i did to much sending friend request
has anybody found a fix for this, mine has been doing it a month or two now. i have tried deleting app data, uninstalling and reinstalling, and nothing has resolved it.
Same here...
yeah, I've been having the exact same issue with the Facebook app on my HTC One for about 2 months now.
I've noticed it seems to only happen on Sense based ROMs for me, usually on a GPe or AOSP rom i dont have the sign out issue.
Still tho, I've no idea how to fix it. Ive tried leaving the Alpha and Beta testing thinking it could have been that but even with public release of FB app it still happens. Anyone figured it out yet?
I'm guessing it maybe something to do with permissions from Sense and TouchWiz causing the random logouts. I say this because, I get a HTC Sense/BlinkFeed error saying something about facebook permission not authorised and have to log back in to FB again.
So annoying!
was able to get everything synched when on stock unrooted rom,but yesterday i unlocked bootloader, rooted and reinstalled all apps successfully, now facebook friendstream will not update, can't get authorization for facebook, see screenshots

Normally the best thing to do is clear facebook data and log in again, if that doesn't work then uninstall/reinstall.

tried all that m8,endlessly searching on google, nothing works, many people have the same problem even with different phones, beginning to think it's a problem @facebook's end, have installed Android Pro Widgets, logged in no probs.
Would still like to find a solution though
Having the exact same issue here. Tried every solution that i've found, needless to say nothing worked.
Something i have found out is that if i use my girlfriends account, or any other account except my own, there are absolutely no issues.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So did you manage to find a fix, or did you just setup a new account? Because i have tried mostly everything, but i still have the issue.
This hasn't worked for me for ages, but a little work around:
Open the Facebook app until it asks for access.
Minimize app
Login to facebook on browser.
Minimize browser, and go back to facebook app.
This usually allows the app to login for me
