Does anybody know how to fix the low volume when the ringer first kicks in? Let me clarify.. when I receive a call, my ringtone plays very low for about 2-3 seconds, then ramps up slowly. This causes me to miss lots of calls and I hate it. I read that this was a "feature" introduced in Gingerbread. My Evo had this feature as well, but it had a way to be disabled via settings.

I've never seen any setting for this (but doesn't mean it doesn't exist). I know certain ringtones are built that way. Have you tried several different ones to make sure it happens on all of them?
Which rom, version of rom, ect?

Oops, looks like this feature was removed from the rom I am on. Probably several others too that are based on Calk's GB rom.

Yes it was. I had to correct myself.
If it's happening on multiple GB roms (like I said, a number of these GB roms are based on Calkulin's work, along with a multitude of other contributors), but we're not experiencing the same issues I don't know what to say.
Have you gone back to stock rooted for a day or so just to see the difference?

That is a fairly old post and I'm pretty certain that Calk already implemented that in his latest builds.
Here is a copy of Calk's changelog:
v2.0.1a
Moved Polaris Office & Voice Command to Removed_Apps folder(v2.0.1a)
Removed more traces of CIQ(v2.0.1)
Fixed Kies from crashing(v2.0.1)
Based on new EK02 build
Changed kernel to Rogue Stock EK02 v1.1.1
Crawrj's Hotspot Hack
Disabled increasing ring
Tweaked icons to fit better
Tweaked Battery Saver script
Edit: I'm pretty sure that installing some themes will replace the phone.apk and thereby disabling the tweak.
I've attached Calk's 3.0 phone.apk in a flashable zip. Good luck.
Edit2 : Verified that the Dark Fire theme you're using does replace the phone.apk file. Please flash the one I provided and maybe let the developer of the theme know in case he can correct this in future releases.

Do you think he's basing his theme off of an even older version of the ROM, thus, botching the dialer?
Sent from my SPH-D710 using Xparent Red Tapatalk 2
I may have forgotten to replace the phone.apk in the Calkulin compatible version of Dark Fire X (maintaining 3 themes and building a new one). I can extract phone.apk from Calkulin 3.0 and mod it then send it to you.
My only question to the OP is this:
Why didn't you mention this yesterday when I was implementing all of those adjustments/fixes to Dark Fire X for you and CyberpodS2? Surely you would have noticed it then. I have a really busy day today, but I'll try to get that apk to you ASAP.

yeah i just used the moddraggon 6 lockscreen mod on the new leak and it worked perfectly, no FCs or anything like that. Unfortunately the boot animations i wanted to use dont work anymore... i guess people will port those over soon enough.

Boot animations will require a kernel that supports boot animations. Since this is still the stock kernel being used it doesn't support it.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Chris41g working his magic on one of his modded stock kernels for EH06 to support this

Hello themers
I think i speak for more than just me when i say that memory problems from the 10 lockmod are unacceptable.
/system/framework/framework-res.apk uses over a 100MB of memory & climes all day untill its crashes.
If a themer could look at making some themes that DONT use the lock mod. I use the pattern lock on my phone so its useless to me & every one that locks there phone.
Acording to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1343669&page=33 the lockmod is where the memory leek is coming from

I dont realy think i have any complaints or requests on your theme other than the locks. Its really nice & has gone on me.

If its not, some one speak up & let us know where the problem is.
I've noticed a lot of soft reboots since i've started using roms/themes with the lockmod. I posted about it in the QA section, and in the Honeycomb fusion thread. I've tried a couple different themes that have the lockmod built in, and a couple that don't and only get the soft reboots on the roms/themes with the lockmod. So here's a 2nd for this theme sans lockmod.
Thanks!

I'm on my phone all day. My phone is always in line of sight even if it's not in use. This isn't a "guess". I "do not" get any reboots. And the lockmod built into the theme is the same 10lock used in the rest. So either my phone is magic or the lockmod isn't the end all of the memory issues people are having.

I'm not seeing these issues. Here are the steps I used.
-Odin back to stock eco5.
-Ota upgrade to stock ei22.
-Odin acs cwm5 based recovery **pull battery before it boots and boot into newly installed acs recovery**
-Flash ACS ICS 5.1 and without rebooting flashed samaurai 3.01+
-booted into android and rebooted to recovery
-flash EI22ICS_Lock_Mod_2.0.zip
-reboot and remove any unwanted bloat with titanium.
-enjoy.

Don't want to pick on bones, but I went through the thread. You didn't say you had that theme installed. Yeah, you're asking for a non lockmod version of S & B in the title, but that doesn't necessarily equal your having said lockmod theme on your phone, especially when you only said you have ACS v5.5 with Shadow kernel.
FWIW, RandomKing is beta testing his next version of his ROM that doesn't have lockmod. According to him, the removal of lockmod does improve memory usage.

AOSP lockscreen means you have no lockmod hence no issues.
The 2.0 theme with the lockmod is the one I began with that originally gave me issues, its not the theme but the mod itself.

Ok, the Rom posted here is a port from the Incredible S RUU. It's been converted so that CDMA is functioning on this Rom...
The Reason this Rom is posted is mostly for Development. This Port DOES NOT require a change in HBoot and is 90% functional right now (Exceptions listed below). This should be good enough for a Daily Driver for most!
ROM INFO
- Android Version: 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich)
- Based on: Vivo Sense 3.6 RUU (Chinese Leak)
- Sense Version: 3.6
WHAT DOESN'T WORK
- Friend Stream (Don't have a clue... App seems fine, but there is no way to connect it to a Social Network)
- SuperUser - Root functions are not working in this version. THIS DOES NOT MEAN YOU WILL LOSE ROOT! Apps that require Root Permissions will not work.
- APN's - The Apn's have to be set manually. Not sure if this is a Rom Feature or if it's something not working in the Rom. To Set APN's manually, pull the notification bar down and select the "connected" icon, Press Menu and Select New APN... APN's are listed below for the Stock VZW Setup US

Problem is, a lot of ROM toolbox replaces images based on names. There's a lot of redundant images in the touch wiz framework (they add their own images and keep the aosp ones.). This means that ROM toolbox will replace the aosp, which arent the ones in use, so it makes ROM toolbox obsolete. Also, for the battery images, ROM toolbox has 100 different images for the battery packs, it's that it doesn't have 100 images for the charging also, so you'll see your battery icon change shape while you charge.

Hey thanks man. You gave me an idea and I was able to get it working. Seems like the battery icons towards the bottom actually work. Maybe more/less. Just try a bunch.

Whenever I use JB roms and Google Navigation, I get horrible flickering, blinky screen.
Is there a fix for this issue? Anyone else can confirm they have same problem?
Disabling HW overlays does not fix the issue.
Also tried changing debug.composition.type = gpu does not fix either.
Flashed back to ICS roms, issue doesn't exist. So it's definitely a JB only issue.
I've tried several different JB roms (CM10, AOKP, XquiZit XD), they all exhibit same problem.
Build.prop edit:
Code:
debug.mdpcomp.maxlayer=3
To
debug.mdpcomp.maxlayer=0

Did you remember to reboot?
If you did change this as well.
Code:
debug.composition.type=dyn
To
debug.composition.type=gpu

Yeah made both build.prop edits and saved then rebooted.
Flickers seems worse afterwards.
Guess I go back to ICS

Hm, not sure then, those edits work for CM10. Figured they'd be universal. Did your build.prop have them originally? I never ran a TW ROM. Well other than stock for like 2 hours till i got home xD Which ROM are you on?
I was on CM10 10/24 nightly as of a few minutes ago just flash back to FrostyICS 4.0.4 v3.
I use navigation daily. Flickering was bugging me out. Guess i'll wait for official JB release to see if flickering gets fixed. Thanks for trying to help a brotha out.

Well it works for me and others on cm10. Are you sure you did everything properly?

I'm not a NOOB at this. I pretty sure I done the build.prop edits right.
I was running Faux 10/15 kernel, maybe that was what's causing the flickering.
I've tried Lean Kernel 1.6 too, flicker was present on that as well.
What kernel are you running?
Anyways, I wanted to be back in ICS TW for the stability and I missed some of the features like Smart Stay, SBeam, etc..
I'll definitely be back on CM10 once things are a little bit more stable.

I'm on the 10/24 build with absolutely no issues other than hold back to kill sometimes not working. Other than that with those build.prop edits it's pretty flawless. And with those edits running the stock kernel and ktoonsez kernel removed artifacts and flicker. I recommend a newer build. So much has happened and improved since the 15th. Oh and I wasn't saying you were a noob or anything, I was saying you are a human and we qll make mistakes. I've tried changing things and forgot to simply save the file or adjust permissions or something stupid like that. But I'll upload the stock build.prop with those edits as a flashable zip for you to try.
