Stock 02 ROM or Nandroid Backup - HTC One X

Hi, I have stupidly flashed a ROM without backing up the stock ROM. I am hoping someone could forward me to the correct Stock o2 rom or point me to a stock nandroid backup. I cannot find other posts hosting the Stock o2 ROM or any backups (sorry)
Thank you very much, it was a lesson well learned

The best way to do that is by following torxx tutorial from this thread in section If you DON'T have custom rom or Nandroid backup on internal SD card
Hope this help

[Q] Question about Nandroids

Hi guys,
I have a technical question and i wish to get a pure technical answer. Why is it that when you restore a Nandroid backup, the restored version is not rooted. Isn't the backup done on a rooted version? Thanks.

If you backup a rooted rom, then restore the nandroid it will be rooted

The ROM they are discussing in that thread is not rooted, certainly when I restore my nandroid backup, currently running cm7, I still have root

It is possible to generate nandroid backups of unrooted ROMs, just not all that common. For example if you have previously applied ENG HBOOT, you could flash custom recovery from fastboot without actually re-rooting the ROM. The resulting nandroid backup will not have root.

need help finding stock shipped rom

forgot to nandroid before flashing new rom.
is there somewhere I can go to get it or can someone post a nandroid of the original rom?
thanks
Go to sammobile.com click on firmware and search for t989. You probably have to sign up for an account though.

Restore stock image

recently installed cm 10.2 and had my fun with it and tried to restore my stock rom after making sure I made a backup, for what ever reason it will not restore it and gives me an error. I am using the latest cwm recovery, any help would be great thanks.
Okay since there is not really enough information for me to point in one obvious direction I am going to make some assumptions, those being that previous to your posting your question about restoring that you are on AT&T and where running the latest stock which is 4.1.2, so as of this moment unless it was posted in the last week, Samsung updates does not yet have the stock image posted, so if you want to return to stock you will likely have to download a stock rooted rom from the S3 development thread and move it to your sdcard and restore it that way, if you won't to be totally stock and unrooted I would wait till the update is posted on Samsung updates and the restore to stock with Odin, I hope this helps, if you have more questions please try to give a little more information about what you did and what errors you encountered in the process so answers can address your specific problems

[Q] Return to Stock Using Nandroid

Hi
I saw a similar thread with a similar question but I don't think the person was asking the exact same thing and to be honest I didn't fully understand the answers either so apologies if it looks like I am asking about something already covered.
Basically I took a nandroid of my stock 4.1.2 DME6 firmware before I flashed a custom rom. I have since rooted and am using 4.4.2 wesamothman's custom rom. I need to return to stock and have seen the tutorials explaining how to do this using odin and the RUU firmware downloads from Sammobile. But I want to know can I return to stock by restoring my original nandroid, then flashing a stock recovery?
I'm worried because I've heard horror stories about DME6 causing bricks and also I'm not sure if it's possible to go back to an earlier firmware as simple as just restoring a nandroid.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

how to backup current firmware?

im going to flash a gpe firmware but before I do that how do I backup the current firmware I have in my m8?
I went thru a lot trying to figure out how to flash the current firmware for sense I have already and not sure how to do it again its been a while so if I can back it up that would be great just dont know how yet if anybody can help it be much appreciated?
If you take a Rom backup (Nandroid) you Firmware isn't included in this backup.
There are several threads with firmware for differen CID and carrier, so if you could finde it once you can do it again.
