I'm just curious why medievil is not available on my play and when or if it ever will be. I know about using an emulator but I want the official sony version that the test of the world has. I have a verizon play r800x

i recently bought an xperia play (LOVE IT!!) through at&t and noticed that it is only on android version 2.3.3. anyone know if and when at&t is going to role out the 2.3.4 update? i am thinkin on rooting, but afraid to with the sony kits coming in the future. anyone have any ideas on these.

Hi, i want the best GSM Xperia play for me, i will only use 2G so it could be any of this 3 (R800I, R800A or R800AT), so i got this questions:
1) Wich one is the one to get the new firmwares released the faster?
2) Does the R800I and R800A have bloatware?
3) Is there any system perfomance diffference between any of this 3, maybe specific firmware release (If so wich one is better)?
3) Wich version has the best or less buggy firmware i know they change a bit between models.
Before knowing the answer i think this:
Im leaning towards the R800I because i think is the better one because so far i believe (but dont know if im right):
- isn't carrier dependant and doesn't has bloatware (the R800A is like this too but more expensive).
- Since its international maybe it gets faster and more firmwares update since they are released by sony instead of a phone carrier.
- The R800AT has att screens and logos and the R800I has sony branded logos and stuff instead.

I'm in Korea for a year, and I am looking to buy a new phone. I'm looking at the Galaxy Nexus and I have a quick and simple question.
Is the Galaxy Nexus that I would buy in Korea the same phone I would get off the shelf in the US?
I have an HTC Rezound that I'm not a huge fan of, and I'm thinking about just activating it in the US when I go home for a month this winter and then using my upgrade when I get back the US next August.
thanks!
I would assume that Korea has some of their own models [edit: apparently not] however they would definitely have the standard international GSM models on sale. Similarly, in the US there are ones from Verizon and Sprint that are using totally different hardware and run on CDMA. The only difference between a GSM one bought from Korea to the one in the US would be the Android build version (I'm not sure about the one in Korean variant but there's yakju/takju and the other variants).
Yes. I live in Korea right now and here we only have the international GSM models only. However, if you're looking to only use it on a pure stock software, you probably won't get jellybean right away. Korean GNexs still haven't got OTAs of JB yet.
Its interesting because I brought my Verizon GNEX from the states and here in Korea, I do have access to 3g data services and its "roaming". I dont know which carrier its roaming off and I just turn on airplane mode anyways. I just went with the crappy used phone and picked a 3g unlimited plan from the Onestop on Yongsan (also stationed in Korea).
Well i'd say but it from google play store since its first to get the major updates, i had the korean version of Gnex and i had to format it and install US version of ICS so i can get the jellybean update OTA 1st before other countries.

is this process easy? i am planning on buying a gnex maybe some time in January, and it seems that it is very hard to find an i9250 variant of this in here. can you please post a link so i can try it once i bought my gnex. tia.
Google doesn't sell the GN on the Play Store anymore.

I'm thinking of selling my Xperia play.
It has an unlocked bootloader so it can be useful to developers and people who have locked bootloaders.
The bad thing about it is that it has a small chip in the screen.
Can anyone tell me reliable sites where I can sell it?
Thanks
Do you already tried the ebay?
I buyed my Xperia Play there.
No
I don't want to sell it on ebay just yet
Or does anyone want to buy it
Hello just had a quick question. Considering buying this phone due to the insane battery life and wanted to know which version I should buy if I wanted to install custom ROMs. Would the Moto z play droid version from verizon allow me to install ROMs? I'm guessing no because its Verizon, and their phones are usually locked (boot loader wise) but just wanting to make sure. Or would I need the international gsm version?

There are 3 versions of the Z Play, all with the initial ID prefix of XT1635:
-01- Verizon, locked Bootloader
-02- International/GSM, BL unlock capable
-03- Chinese, BL unlock capable but set as RETCN and lacking many US bands.
I almost purchased an XT1635-03 off of Gearbest/Banggood because it was only $250 USD, but turns out while it can be used with custom ROMs it's missing quite a few crucial network bands for use in the US.
Just waiting for the X4 release/fall sales and will probably snag a Z Play for cheap.
