Anybody else experiencing stock issues with the HTC One X on o2?
I went for my upgrade on Wednesday and was told I'd receive a dispatch email and my phone would be with me the next day. This was at around 3PM so I waited untill around 7PM and there was still no sign of dispatch so I went on to their live chat and asked about it, the girl apologized and told me that it would be sent out the next day instead.
So yesterday I waited around for a dispatch email which again never came. I rang o2 and they told me the phone was out of stock until the 23rd at the earliest but I explained the situation and the girl said because my phone was listed as 'priority' that I would receive it today (Friday), she also promised me the information was true.
So today (Friday) comes and still no dispatch email. I take myself back on live chat and explained the situation to yet another agent she told me the same thing, that there was no stock till the 23rd. I tell her that's not good enough because I was promised 2 earlier delivery dates. She took a look over the notes and my account an said she spoke to her manager and that her managed had arranged for one to be sent out today for 'priority' delivery and that i would 100% receive the phone within 24 hours.
I took it upon myself to ring back an hour later to see if this had been actioned and if the order was under way and just as I thought it hadn't. The girl I got on the phone was very helpful and hes given me my first months line rental for free (£36) and I have to wait till Monday till the phone can be shipped.
Has anybody else had similar problems with o2? Im fairly pissed off to be honest, every time I order on the phone with o2 something messes up!
Been using my backup phone which is a Samsung Tocco Lite since I sold my S2 to fund my early upgrade!
No such issues for me with o2.
I had the yellow spots problem with my first phone, rang them last Friday and a doorstep exchange was arranged which was delivered on Monday, unfortunately I was in work all day but it was automatically sent back out the following day with no issues.
I've been with o2 about eight years now and any minor issues I've had and complained about, I've always had a freebie off them in some way.
So in a nutshell for me I've always had very good customer service

Got mine from the o2 shop, no issues at all phone is fine.
Why don't you cancel that upgrade and go to the shop and get one, I did that and just got me a new contract

O2 replacement
Hi
I had the flexing problem with mine I want back to my O2 dealer and I was told that they ad delivery in that morning
So I waited, I exchanged it a d I had to. Heck 2 phones before I got one which was half decent, they told me If t still wasn't happy to go back next Thursday and try again or if not happy refund me,
I couldn't do my upgrade in store because it was an early upgrade
Looks like its gonna be sent out tomorrow... Here's hoping!
I am in a similar position. Waiting for the HTC One X to come into stock. Just got off the phone and they still aren't live on the system so was advised to call back at midday. Although they are having call issues this morning and the wait in the queue is around 20 mins!!!!
It doesn't even say out of stock on the website either from what I can tell?
Very deceiving
Still waiting for mine after odering5 days ago. Bloke on sales said they haven't got any in and he doesn't know when they will arrive.

Same - my doorstep swap was going to be tomorrow morning, but they are out of stock in the end. Guy on the phone said he wasn't sure of a due date (likely because the expected date has now passed). He suggested I may be waiting until Friday for an update on stock, and so therefore I'm not expecting anything until next Monday or Tuesday.
Well mines has been sent. Got a text message from DPD today to say it would arrive tomorrow.
I can confirm o2 did get shipments in today
Whii is DPD? This thread is about O2!

Just had confirmation email from t-mobile (web order)
that it's on its way.....although i'll be amazed if i actually see it till tuesday.
Nice !
You will with Special Delivery if its ordered before 4pm so we should get them tomorrow.
And you will tell me if the speaker is loud or not for ringtones(N1 syndrom)
Well, it was ordered monday lunch time, not sure if its a "special" delivery, it just says "delivered within 2 days" but....a saturday!? i won't hold my breath.
Still, anything prior to Tuesday and i'll be pleased
Just hope the T-Mobile signal is good enough (street check says it is)
By the way, just called o2 to get my PAC, asked the woman in retentions if she had a release date for the Desire, she said they had it down for the 29th of april ! ...Rubbish, that'll be a few customers out the door i reckon
They send them Special Delivery it all depends if Royal Mail get them out for tomorrow, they told me tomorrow on the phone when i ordered one.
My email says from T-mobile says "Your order's winging its way to you right this minute..."
WTF? I thought it was delayed until next Thursday?
Yeahhhhhhh!!!!!" JUST HAD THE EMAIL AND CALLED TO CHECK - SHOULD BE WITH ME SATURDAY OR MONDAY!!! YES I'M SHOUTING!!

Glad you got your mail.
How wierd I phoned T-Mobile this morning to be told it's not coming till Wednesday next week, now i just got the winging email..
Welcome to T-Mobile
Your order's winging its way to you right this minute so get ready to say hello to your new HTC Desire
Mines coming to me tomorrow. Said it will be here for the morning.
Only placed my order this morning at 10am, and have just rung up TMobile to find out when I will get it delivered.
Spoke to a really nice guy who told me the first 1600 (or did he say 1400?) handsets were all gone, but they were expecting another 500 handsets to be delivered today/this evening. He is going to make sure my order goes through on this second batch of handsets and then give me a call to let me know. Should be with me on Tuesday - it's gonna kill me to wait that long!!
Thumbs up to the TMobile guy on the phone though, top service.

I get the impression that the delay till April 7th is only for the sim free unlocked phones. Like mine... Nooooooooooo!
even though i ordered mine last week -- there is no more t mobile stock, if you have not got the "winging email" you will NOT be getting your desire. they have run out.
they cannot even give a firm date for stock. estimate 7th april to them.
so even though the confirmation email that states 48 hours if you order before 5pm on a weekday is untrue. (i wish people would just tell the truth).
so sorry people but don't hold your breath.

I think it depends on whether you called them up as well, or not.
I put my order into the TMobile website on Friday morning (30th) at around 930am.
After reading on this forum about delays and no stock I then called them up Friday afternoon at approx 430pm - I was told that all the initial stock of 1400 (or 1600, I can't remember which) was gone, so I would not be receiving a phone the next day.
The sales agent then went on to tell me they were expecting another delivery of 500 that evening, and they would be sent to customers on Monday, to arrive Tuesday (1st). He then searched for my web-order and manually pushed it through to ensure I would get a phone from this 2nd batch. He then called back to confirm it would be sent out Monday and arrive between 8am-1pm Tues. I assume if I hadn't called then my order would've been dealt with chronologically along with all the other website orders.
I called again just now, querying why I had not had the "winging it's way to you" email, and was told that my order had been completed by their phone team, and they don't send those emails out. And my phone will definitely arrive tomorrow before 1pm
I feel a bit bad that I might have jumped the queue, but hey it's TMobile that decided to do that because I rang up chasing it, not me!
i have just called tmobile and placed an upgrade order with the loyalty team - they have them in stock for next day delivery and got a cracking deal as well!
I ordered mine Friday afternoon. It's just come now but i have to go back to work
Will leave it at home charging lol.
Just spoke to my business manger on Tmobile stock coming in on wednesday and mine is coming on thursday...happy days
I too have just ordered my Desire from T-Mobile!! Also said I should have it by Thursday, if not before...
For those that are interested, this was my second attempt at getting them to agree to matching the deals on mobilephonesdirect, so worth trying again if at first you do not succeed (thanks to whoever it was on these forums for suggesting I do that!).
For info (new customer) - 600min, 500 txt, £30/month 18 month contract, and they waived the £60 handset cost.
I am VERY excited!!!

thats a good deal! as an existing customer i got an offer of £22.50 per month on my existing flext 40 tariff and free phone - 18 month contract
I still don't understand how Tmobil is the sole shop to sell the Desire before 7th April in the whole world
Are HTC testing the Desire on a very limited market??

What numbers are people ringing to get through to living human beings?
I rang the help line (0845 412 5000) (also rang the sales line but I was neither an existing customer or someone looking to buy a new phone, I already ordered on the net so I hung up) and pressed the correct number for "in the process of ordering" and got told to put in my mobile number, which I don't have since my phone hasn't arrived!
It's my first time ordering from T-Mobile and they don't seem to have a "go straight to a live human being" option on their phone system, is my best bet just to ring sales and push the "new customer" button and then tell them my order is active already and I want some information?
Thanks for any responses

Cheers for that mate, hopefully that will include the exchange/returns stock
I just spoke to them on the sales number (i pressed * a couple of times and got put through eventually) and they said that they didn't know whether there would be another shipment on Wednesday although there should be one this week...
hmmm.. why are there never any straight answers.
I had the 'winging its way to you' email on Thursday.. nothing has arrived, so I called them today and was told it went out of stock after they sent the email - now he said they have no stock and that it's expected within 7 days.
No idea why the hell I got the email if it hadn't even left them though!
I'll have to wait and see if anything turns up!
carphone Warehouse
I've been waiting to pick one up instore from t mobile everyone is saying two weeks or they don't know. after searching i saw that is available on payasyou go on orange in carphone warehouse so i might pick one up tomorrow there phones are normally unlocked.
I ordered mine as an upgrade Friday afternoon and got it early Saturday morning.
It seems to me that everyone who has spoken to the actual sales team has had their order fast-tracked. So all of us who ordered online are getting put to the back of the queue. Just need to think of a way to make them want to fast-track you.

You know Layar has a layer for coffeeshops in A'dam? Quite handy.
well all I can say is I feel I was talking to an honest rep who assured me that there are none left and that they honestly do not know a firm date for future deliveries, this was after getting the usual runaround several reps
so if you get yours then great, but as I said I wouldnt hold my breath.
I've had to send my Desire back to HTC last Monday (11/10/10) as the external speaker has failed. They arranged UPS courier pick up and UPS supplied a tracking number which showed it was signed for by HTC on 12/10/10.
Also on 12/10, HTC sent me an email advising they'd received the phone and gave me a repair tracking reference. I logged in to the servioce on 12/10 and it did indeed show 'We have received your phone at HTC service center.'
This is fine, but we are now one week on since HTC reported receiving my phone and the status has not changed. I rang them today and just got fobbed off with "it takes 10 to 15 working days to turn around a repair". I'm not unduly worried, however, I don't see the point of a repair tracking service if it is never updated.
I just wondered what everyone else's experiences were of the HTC repair service and their repair tracking updates?
Cheers.

HTC Repair
I sent my phone in for repair about 4 weeks ago. I had a similar experience as you where it stayed in that status for about 2 weeks! I was phoning constantly in that time, being given expected repair dates, being promised things would be raised as a priority etc, but to no avail. I complained to the customer service team that the updating was poor. The lady agreed but could only promise to pass my comment on to the complaints department and they would contact me in 24 hours. They couldn't be contacted directly.
I had no intention of believing that based on my past experience over the 2 weeks. I rang the head office and asked for the complaints department. I spoke to a really helpful lady who managed to get my phone repaied and back to me in 5 days! This would not have happenned if she didn't help me.
Unfortunately, the repair was unsuccessful. I was reluctant to send it back, but I went via the route of the same person in the complaints department, who set it up as a priority case. I sent if off on a Friday and had it back the next Friday! Fault was fixed.
The best way to deal with them is to constantly ring them as the repair tracking service isn't updated often, whereas they can see other information on their systems. If that doesn't work, ring the complaints department.
Repair: UPDATE
Well, would you credit it, the day after I made my original post HTC updated the repair tracker to say my phone was being repaired. The next day, it was updated again to say phone repaired and being returned to me. That was last Friday and guess what? I still haven't got my phone, but and it is a BIIIIG but...
It's not HTC's fault. They did post it, and gave me a UPS Courier tracking number.
UPS reported the phone being sent from their depot in Tamworth, Staffs. On Monday just gone, it was then reported as being out for delivery to me that day....it never arrived. I rang UPS, they claimed they had tried to deliver it but my office was shut...BULLSH!T! I was ringing them from the office at 4.30pm that day! UPS then said they would reschedule delivery for Tuesday to which I agreed.
Then as I was leaving the office at 5pm, UPS rang me back to say I could call at their local depot (10 miles from me) at 6pm to collect the phone. I agreed and arrived at their office at 6.10pm only for them not to be able to find the phone, then tell me "We're really sorry, but it's still at our Tamworth depot. We'll get it to you tomorrow"
So Tuesday morning rolls round....I get a phone call from UPS at work asking was I planning to call and collect the phone from UPS today. I told them no because they had arranged to deliver it that day.
Then the bombshell. "I'm really sorry sir, we had a break in on one of our vans at the Tamworth depot. Your phone was on that van and has been stolen!"
Can't be helped I suppose, but it doesn't stop me thinking how unlucky can I get!!!
Still, at the end of the day, UPS have admitted it was stolen, so I should get a new replacement or a big fat cheque to buy a new one.
C'est la vie.
LOL - sorry, I shouldn't laugh, that's a horrendous story...
I was curious, did UPS pay out to you?

Thanks for the sympathy...lol!
You really don't want to know what a nightmare I've had with HTC since this happened. Suffice to say, it took 6 weeks to get a replacement (refurb) handset (wrapped in bubble wrap in a plastic envelope, my retail box which it was sent in was nowhere to be seen), which they sent WITHOUT a battery (which took another week to arrive...after shouting at them down the phone!!) and now this replacement handset it randomly freezing!!!
I hope you NEVER have to send your handset back to HTC....they have the worst customer service I've ever experienced...EVER!!! Still currently got an ongoing dispute with them. If I ever get a resolution and I have a spare 3 weeks, I might post the whole sorry saga for you all to have a laugh/cry/empathising pat on the back at....if it could go wrong, it did/has/probably still will!!
Let's just say I will NEVER buy HTC again!!!
And no, UPS didn't pay out to me, because the phone was sent BACK to me by HTC, so HTC had to make the claim. So, while they will probably get the full cost of the lost phone, I'm left with a refurb. HTC won't entertain a claim from me as UPS lost the phone and UPS won't entertain a claim from me because HTC were the sender and had to make the claim! I'm stuck between rock and a hard place...but I'm still fighting!!!
My story
Hey! I have a similar story to share! N.B. None of our phones are rooted and only her's was SIM unlocked via a code we purchased.
So since December 2011, my girlfriend (Phone B) and I (Phone A) have both been using HTC Desire Z sold by Bell Canada. I am a Bell user and she is a Rogers user. Mine was bought under my contract and her's was bought by someone else who got a contract to get the phone but sold the phone brand new and gave me the bill.
So we had been using our phones without any problems until I started experiencing issues in July 2011. The screen was not responding and I had to send it (A) for repairs. It was returned and was used without any issue until the next problem popped up (keep reading).
In December 2011, I decided to send my girlfriend's phone (B) since she had been complaining that her earpiece was crackling. So in December, I sent the phone.
I leant her my phone for the time her's was under repair. One night, my phone froze when she loaded a PDF. It restarted fine but the next morning, it was stuck at the HTC screen (A).
I called Bell. In Canada, it turns out carriers are responsible for handling the warranty so they consider that if you are not a customer under the carrier, you can't avail yourself of the manufacturer's warranty. This makes absolutely no sense as the standard product warranty from a manufacturer is 1 year.
I called HTC and fought for an hour until they sent me to a repair unit. With them, they told me that the phone was still under warranty and gave me a work order to send to the subcontractor responsible for repairs.
I sent phone A for repairs. In the meantime, phone B was returned. We sent phone B for repairs unlocked and they returned it locked (new IMEI). I paid to get it unlocked and my girlfriend started using it. She told me that it reboots every 2 minutes. I took a video of it and it is pretty ridiculous. With a Rogers SIM, it reboots every 2 minutes, without a SIM, it reboots every 15 or so. I'm now going to have to send phone B for repairs again and cross my fingers that it doesn't fail again.
Now the pièce de résistance is coming up. I just received a call from the repair company and they are asking 200$ to fix phone A. They consider that a phone under warranty with a work order and sent because of random software failure needs 200$? What is this?
Posted my story on the HTC Canada facebook page and guess what? INSTANT DELETE! Because of this, I started my own Facebook page. We are customers, I bought not 1 but 2 phones from them and look at what they do!
So here it is, the facebook page where all of you should post your stories:
http://www.facebook.com/pages/HTC-Cell-Phone-Issues/302964459751052?sk=wall
If it gathers wind, we might finally get some real help from HTC. I was a BIG fan of them. Until they fix this mess, NEVER again will I buy or advise anyone to buy their products!
Thank you and sorry for the long mail.
Show some support, this might happen to you!
I will be starting a thread to elicit people to share their own stories and hopefully all post on the Facebook page. Can you guys copy-paste your stories? It would help gather some momentum.
I have an issue with my One X, the G-sensor totally will not respond, I have tried everything short of flashing a new ROM (but I'm still stock due to no S-off)
Now, I've decided to stop putting off sending my phone into repair after having this issue for over 3 weeks.
What I want to know is;
What was your experience with HTC repair?
How long did they take to fix and return your device?
I go on holiday in 22 days, and I very much need the camera on this phone however it's stuck in the wrong rotation, I'm assuming it won't take HTC 22 days to repair the phone?
I have had a good and a terrible repair experience with them. But if you send it in now hopefully the turnaround will be 2 weeks.
So far so good. I called them on Monday, they sent the courier to pick up my device yesterday and on the website it states that my device is being repaired as of 9:58am today. Hopefully the rest goes smoothly, I have heard some real horror stories.
long story short. send my phone in for repairs in the first week of may and was suppose to get my phone back within two weeks.. ended up getting back a month later..so two weeks more on top of the estimated time they told me...but the good news was that ever since i did not have any issues and the phone is a beast.. so even though there was a delay i am happy with the outcome and work they did on the phone

UK mate
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
I'm in UK, they sent it to regenersis in huntingdon, firstly for a misaligned front speaker hole (which i sent them a pic of) and dead pixel.
It said repaired etc on the website a few days after they received. Spoke to the htc live chat, and asked what had been done to it. 'The software was reflashed'
It was returned to me a few days later, no different to when i sent it off.
I resent the phone eventually (to same place, regenersis) as it developed the wifi antenna problem as well. The repair tracking website was never updated, and live chat didn't have a clue what was happening with the phone. 2 weeks later the phone turned up at work. Unrepaired again. Zero difference.
I'm currently in the process of arranging a replacement from HTC instead.

Just for all you UK people, if the device has ANY problems in the 1st six months take it back to the retailer and demand a replacement. You might have to push them but ultimately you will be successful . In the first 6 months the fault is considered to have been there since manufacture, after six months it's a bit different.
The Sales of Goods act covers this for you.

HTc repair center here in the us is suck big time, i'm still waiting on my htc one that i sent for repair since July 5th, finally i got an email from them that they ship it back to me, now its gonna take another 6 days before i receive it, they could at least overnight since they took that long to repair it.. never again
HTC EVO View 4G Repaired
My View stop working just like that: I got some strange pop-ups about apps force closing then I decided
to reboot and that got stuck. Pressing power for a long time didn't help. The charging led no longer
lighted up. Pressing all kinds of button combinations didn't help me. The tablet was dead!
This is a refurbished tablet that I bought off Tech4Less. I had it S-OFFed and rooted.
I called HTC customer support to inquire about the repair policy. I could get a box shipped and send
in the tablet for repair (here in the US). I was told that they would quote me the cost per email and
if declined I would have to pay a $35 fee. Well that to me was worth the try. Pay $35 to learn whether
you have a brick or not. I got the box, shipped the tablet to their repair centre and waited. By the
way the Fedex shipping label came for free. So far no costs and no word from HTC, although customer
service promised to send me email about the repair policy. Also the repair centre never acknowledged
receipt of the tablet. This was a few days before 4th of July. Two weeks later I shopped for a new tablet
and got a great deal on a new 2012 Nexus 7 from Staples.
I had given up on my View. No notice of what was going on with the repair; no repair tracking number.
A few days later I was happily unpacking my new Nexus and showing it off to my wife. She remarked
that the HTC repair probably was a hoax and that my old tablet was lost. I checked my email at that
moment and lo and behold threre was an email from HTC stating that the tablet was repaired and on its
way back to me. It mentioned the serial number and a repair number and I was able to use those to
look up the actual Fedex tracking number on their web site. I couldn't believe it... Every day I checked the
progress and eventually I got the box on my doorstep. Indeed, my good old trusty View was working
again. HTC provided a repair sheet and noted that among other minor replacements, the motheroard was
replaced. Wow! And no bill. Yes, really. Maybe a mistake on their part, but lucky for me.
I am very grateful to HTC and can only hope that others are treated similarly.
im not happy at all, since i bought my htc one in june 2013, its been repaired twice , i was suurprised it was collected and returned within 7 days from my door. This 3rd time its been over 10 days, it was howing as "reapired" in the tracking info, but today its showing back "in repair"...whats going on htc?..apparently hey dont have a repair centre here in the uk its in poland

I live in the UK. I sent my HTC One M8 off to UK on the 11th of May 2015. It is now the 9th of June 2015 still haven't received my phone. On their tracking page it says itshe being packed to be returned. It's been on being packed for 2 days now they are seriously p*ssing me off. I haven't had a phone all this time.
So I was in AT&T today getting ready to pre-order and setup my new contract when the sales associate told me they were getting the Note 4 in stock tomorrow. SO I hesitated and said should I just setup my new account tomorrow instead and he replied yes and set me up an appointment for when I get off work. Well paranoid me I am worried they will sell out before I get off work tomorrow so I called and talked to the manager, now she is saying she is pretty sure they are gonna get it tomorrow but told me it is not guaranteed but that if I call in the morning they will put one aside for me if they do arrive.
Has anyone been to an AT&T store lately and told this?
Called 4 stores around me. 2 told me the 17th, one told me the 14th, the 4th one told me they would start receiving stock between tomorrow and the 17th and could sell them as they received them.
AT&T reps who work in stores don't know MODERATOR EDIT. What's funny is that they think they do.
AT&T online says it will ship by the 14th. The reps are not allowed to hold any phones for customers so don't believe that BS haha.

Well that I know but I spoke with the manager of the store and she said technically she can't but she would since the guy jerked me around. Oh well, we will find out tomorrow
Update 1: Just woke up and getting ready for work, will call AT&T an hour after they open to see if they came in and to see if the manager will hold her word.
Good luck! We xda members

When I went and pre ordered it on monday, the ATT in Etown Ky said they will have them today. I went ahead and had the pre order shipped to my house though. I dont want them trying to sell my preorder just because I was at work.
Although we should never trust what an AT&T rep says, from my past experience the stores do get the phones earlier than when pre-orders ship, but they do not put them out for sale until after pre-orders have already shipped. Makes since because why would they sell to a walk-in before those that have pre-ordered.....if they did this than where would the loyalty be!? Yeah I know, AT&T has no loyalty.
Both lstores I went to in nyc said 15th

Not that I want this to happen, but I was a pre-order for the FitBit Flex. That launch was a nightmare!! Pre-order started literally months ahead of release. (4, if I remember right) Then, Best Buy started selling them 4 days before the actual launch, so all the pre-orders got screwed.
Sorry for the late update but surprise surprise, no Note 4 delivery... Oh well I was at least able to get my pre-order in so now it's back to the good old refresh the email like no tomorrow and pray for early shipments

Well the reps I talked to are nice and Ive dealt with them before when the S4 was about to be released. I was just bummed at how even the store manager told me it was coming, then I come in the next day saying I was told this to be questioned on who told me it and why.. Either way my pre-order is in and I'm hoping it ships early like my Galaxy S4 did.
TMobile devices are shipping now.
After checking my tracking number It shipped from KY which is where TMobile warehouse resides I guess and my phone is showing in the Nashville UPS hub since im located here in Nashville TN.
It has a delivery date of this Monday by 4PM.
That goes for allot of people who preorderd on TMobile. Getting devices way ahead of the 17th!.
Still no change on my pre-order status for the phone, but interesting enough on friday my sim-card they include in the pre-order changed from "preparing to ship" to "processing". Hoping for a speedy shipment.
I'm with AT&T and still sitting at preparing to ship between the 14th and 16th but I'm willing to bet this will change come monday. Not expecting much today since it's Sunday. Quite surprised your status changed so late on a Saturday, maybe they will at will at least get the devices to UPS today. They won't move obviously but if they have them then that means first thing Monday morning it's gonna get real :fingers-crossed::victory::fingers-crossed:

I wouldn't expect to see anything change unto the early morning Monday hours. It's Sunday, NOTHING moves on Sunday. I mean businesses can drop **** off sometimes but it just sits in a back room waiting for business hours.
