[Q] vibrate for phone only?

I'd like to vibrate on phone calls only and not sms, other basic Samsung notifications. Is there an app, workaround to make this possible? The default settings don't offer this option. Stock sms app preferred, not gosmspro.
Thanks!

each app has its own settings for sound and vibrate
you can configure SMS to not vibrate
and keep phone only to vibrate

Vibration Intensity

Hey, I was wondering if there is any way to some how decrease the vibration of this phone when you get a text message. Like with the iPhone you can make it so that there is a silent vibrate when you get a text or you can make it the normal vibrate. The vibrate of this phone is ridiculous, and sometimes i like that and other times i dont so i was wondering it there is some sort of app where i can toggle the vibration intensity.
Settings -> sound -> vibration intensity ?
(Go to home screen and press the menu button to get to settings menu)

That's only for the haptic feedback. It won't work to decrease the messaging vibration..

Notification

My phone is put next to my bed. It is very annoying to have the notifications while sleeping. Is there any way to make it silent automatically while sleeping?
y not turn on the blocking mode from settings before sleeping?

Can you provide more detail of Tasker App to accomplish this task. Thanks!
Set the ringer to silent or turn on airplane mode. If you're feeling inventive you could buy some NFC tags to change the settings automatically.

Blocking Mode:
Menu> Settings> Blocking Mode> Turn it On, and select what and when you'd like it to be silent. Also can allow certain Contacts to have an Always permission.

Correct!
Or you could just long press the blocking mode toggle in the notifixation bar. It takes you straight there

Lol I thought the same thing but figured it was too obvious and assumed that maybe it was the notification light that might be waking him up haha
if is it Facebook notifications or mail notifications just go to each app setting and turn the tone to silent or just open the notification bar and press twice on the volume button to turn it silent with no vibration and your alarm will still working

Hi wekebu & kylec,
That is what I need. I am testing it to see if it meets my requirements completely. As Samsung's slogan, it designs for humans!

You need to do it - turns on during the day and turns it down at night everyday.
I use NFC to turn off all lights, vibration and everything. I sleep like a baby hehe. I wake up, NFC again and I'm back in business!

This is automatic; isn't that the beauty of most apps and functions? Every day between the hours of xx & xx Blocking Mode will perform an automatic funtion.
I'm sure you do things that others consider 'useless'. That was an insulting statement.

jelly bean notification sound

i upgraded to jelly bean but now when I have the sound profile on for notifications to make a noise, it also vibrates
so it makes a noise AND vibrates even though i turned my volume and notifications are supposed to give me sound
how do i make it sound only?
MenĂº - Sound - uncheck Sound and Vibration
Powered by the SGSIII
In the settings under sound there is a vibration intensity and you can lower it all the way for notifications if you wanted them to only make sound and not vibrate
