Is there a way to change the notification bar and battery without flashing a rom?

I have the stock rom and I have rooted through visionary and it works for what I want but would like the black notification bar and the battery/signal from the sense (the more square green battery)
Is there a way to change it without having to flash another rom? Sorry if it's posted elsewhere I've looked and haven't found anything on it
you could use metamorph
Hmm...well since I've never used Metamorph I'm a little lost on which themes I can use and which I can't. Is it any that people have labeled as [Theme]?

i dont use it so i couldnt tell you ... try searching for one and you may find it
metamrph is app from the market. if a theme is for metamorph it will be labled on the topic title [morph] or [metamorph] or it will be labled on the op. some are rom specific but most arent. download metamorph and andexplorer the 2 work together. MM will then put a folder on ur sd called android themes. download a metamorph and it is in zip file, place it in android themes and apply via the MM app. now if u find a MM like inspira, you can take the imigaes out of the morph that is a zip file on ur comuter and edit the images to ur likeing and take out the images u dont want changed. but make sure u put the new images back in the zip folder or remove the images u dont want in the zip folder. so take the inspira MM and put it on ur computer extract the files and look for the status bar image in the framewrk-res folder. i cant remember i believe its called status bar background. and edit it to ur likeing via paint.gimp.or photoshop. you can even download other metamorphs extract the imigaes u want say the sense battery indicator u want. or even take the images from a stock sense rom. you will find something in system/framework/ called frameworl-res.apk. put it on ur computer and rename it to framework-res.zip instead of apk and extract the files. find the battery images and replacve them in ur morph. google or youtube how to make a metamorph. its really simple and once u start making themes u really start to know ur way around the android system
edit; im getting a laptop in 2 weeks. when i do ill make an awsome youtube video on how to morph and make them
Sounds fairly easy once I find a metamorph theme, I can do the editing from there..my biggest question though would be if I edit the bar to black it would keep the clock black correct? From what I remember with CM roms they had the option to change the clock color but without that it seems like it will stay black am I correct?

and look at the frameworks, its what i did
Are you on the stock rom? I haven't wanted to switch roms cause I use the wireless hotspot from time to time

flash HC with TWRP recovery

hello. I would like to use TWRP to flash HC until someone comes out with a way to hide the status bar in ICS. How would I go about doing this without any problems. I have twrp recovery working correctly now so can I just use a decoded HC rom?
Gesture control lite will allow you to hide the system bar in ICS with root.

Thx dude it works pretty good!
Ya, it works good for me too (for gaming and vids). It does have a bug, every few times, with the wallpaper defaulting or disappearing which can me fixed by installing "simple wallpaper" It was recommended by the dev on the market page.

Custome Navigation Bar

I'm interested in changing navigation bar. But before I do , I want to make sure I'm doing it right.
Will it work with any rom (included stock rooted) ?
How can I create custome nav bar myself ? :good:
You just have to swap out the images and you need to be rooted.
I dont know if non rooted can or not..maybe ninja morph or something like that. Its easy to do but if you make your own images just get the proper names for them or they wont work. themes section has plenty
As far as changing the images for back home and recents, that's not so bad, you just have to unzip SystemUI.apk and replace a few images. To get more custom stuff like the addition of soft keys and different types of soft keys, that requires some more difficult work as you have to edit xml files and stuff...

Not able to disable the Google search bar

Hi,
I am on stock ROM with JB 4.1 and wanted to disable the Google search bar present in all the screens. I did a search and found that disabling it from "All Apps" removes it from the homescreen and so I tried that. What it does is removes the Google search bar, but the space occupied by it is still present with a rectangular patch and I cant place any widgets in that space. Can someone please tell me how to permanently remove the search bar.
P.S - My phone is not rooted!!!! Its new and I want to enjoy stock till I can...
Just root the phone and don't install a custom rom, thus you will still be stock except for the SU app. Then you can remove the search bar all together and gain that space back. This way you can enjoy the STOCK rom too. Although if you remove the search you technically aren't stock anymore.

Install nova or apex launcher, you can enable/disable the search bar or just have it only on one screen and not all.

Question Working method for portrait full screen in OOS11?

Does anyone have a method to force apps to use the status bar instead of just a black bar. It's possible in OOS12 but I can't get it to work on 11. I've tried ADB commands and a few magisk modules but the closest I can get is allowing apps to use it but then my clock will be behind the hole punch the rest of the time.

On OOS12 you can just force apps to use the status bar. It's under display settings somewhere.
