Tbh I wouldn't really know, just go to the dev sections and read the information on the Roms in the thread's. I've seen some that say better battery life
Currently using;
Rom: CM9
Kernel: Free Xperia Project
Supercharger at 100%
It is fast as sh*t!
Sent by the Arc S with XDA Premium!

I try many roms but all gives me the same result..when i check in the battery setting, it is android os that heavily use my battery..

Q - ICS rom's

I flashed icelite for a while but found it to be not as fast as the miui rom I had been using
It now seems everyone is one ics and i just wanted to see if i could get some feedback on the roms before i pick to flash
So i just wondered if people if they wouldnt mind start giving me a little insight into the ics rom's and how they are performing ?
icelite is just ok,same as other ics for arc, just the problem is ics itself, maybe not as stable as gb,i think maybe because it cannot control multitasking as good as gb,when you close an app and starting new app,the recently closed app will just running,so it might cause lag,it is not killed or freeze, just my opinion, correct me if im wrong
from the ARC
There are a few scripts/tweaks to be found in the android threads that vastly improve ALL roms. I'd recommend supercharger by zep, amongst 2 or 3...
sinkster©
Flashed jj rom but in comparison it is slow compared to miui
How is ics better at the moment I don't get it ?
Sent from my LT18i using xda premium
same here, try zep script,no lag so far..
from the ARC
Getting rid of ics today don't see what all the fuss is about
Sent from my LT18i using xda premium
Agree with you there, it's not a vast difference like 1.6 to 2.1 was. Probably the only reason I'm staying on ics is for chrome browser, tbh.

All the Ics roms are in beta stage. They are not ready for every day use.

Went back to arconium 2.3.4 ROM after 20-30mins on arconium ICS ROM.
Gingerbread blows ICS out of the water at the moment.
I hope that changes when offcicial ICS comes out

Miui ics has issues like no data so at the minute ics just doesn't appeal to me other than ics battery life

Going to try ics again for the silliest reason becuase my key lights dont work on miui
Sent from my LT18i using xda premium
Stock ics beta is flawless with wifi enabler and v6 supercharger. Everything works, have been using it for 2 weeks now without any problems.
But gingerbread has more available mods and is rock-stable.

Data works on cm9. It's by no means a perfect ROM, but I love running the very latest Cyanogenmod, you can even overclock the kernel!

Well, Iam using ICS and it`s pretty smoth and fast... Ofc i use SuperCharge V6. there are still no overclocking kernels up yet. Hope they will be released soon!

Not a lot of choices... There's a few modded stock roms, a buggy as hell cm7, and an abandoned cm9 that still has a few issues.

Your choices are the tweaked stocks that are buried in this forum by jmz and insink, or the cm9 project that modpunk has graciously started for the C. The most stable are obviously the stocks. But cm9 has such few bugs, it's possible to use as a daily driver.
I'm using jmz Rom right now I just love cm7 and wish we had a stable version.. I probably won't have this phone long.. I tried cm9 I'm just not a big fan of ics..

I have been using the Wildchild 3.3 deodexed Rom just follow these steps to get it to run and also use the data2sd script and you get loads of storage. My Antutu score with this rom is 2069, not bad.

Stable rom
My favorite rom is MIUIus.v4 2.1012. MMS doesn't receive unless you use What's app from the Market. It's the fastest and most stable I have used and have been for 2 months. pm me.

I think the CM 10 for MarvelC users by po1vo is quite good, cause there is a short buglist and user like it, but i didn't try.
Try the WildChild v3.3...I've try more ROMs but that is the best join my opinion...

Well, I've been using Xperia NXT v1.3 for about 3 weeks now and it is brilliant!
I highly suggest it for you
(I also used Gin2JellyBean for a while and that ran fine too, but it depends on if you want a JellyBean look or Xperia S

Another question. The lite version is better?

I used Dixperia2 and is so good... but I see a lot of good comments about this other roms, NXT, gin2jellybean, etc... that I whant to know which is the best for daily!
Thanks again!
cheers! :good:
Now I'm using the NXT V1.3 and is very stable an fast!
Anyone has a comment? a comparation?

Gin2JB will eat 4-5 fps ingame, NXT not.

I've been using NXT with doom's kernel and the battery life is awesome! The battery life in dixperia2 was normal.
How's in gin2jellybean?
I'll try NXT more and then try gin2jellybean....
Between NXT and dixperia, at this moment I prefer NXT...
Thank you guy again for your comments!

I see in your signature that you use the Version 1.2 and not the 1.3. Could you tell me why? is it better?

I'm on Gin2JB.
Nice looking ROM.
Think when you load it with apps etc it can become a bit sluggish. I'm prepping to go to one of the light ROMs shortly which I'm sure will be better for games etc
Yes, I've seen sceenshots of gin2jellybean and it's nice.
I'm happy with NXT, let's hope this rom wont get slow with time.
Cheers! :good:

Howso? I'm trying out NXT right now, and I've actually found it to be slightly slower than Gin2JB
1.2 is bug free and to me has better battery life.
1.3 has some minor bugs and has better performance.
I prefer 1.2 cause i would like my phone to have no bugs

Thank you all for your comments!
The NXT rom until now is the best.... Jackleboltt said that gin2jelly is faster than NXT, how is battery life compared to NXT?
NXT has better battery life than Dixperia2.
cheers! :good:
I think NXT Rom 1.3 is the best rom available RIGHT NOW for XperiaPlay.
Only 2 (irrelevant) bugs:
1-When u connect the phone to charger AC, phone turns on
2-Camera app doesn't work if Flahslight on QuickPanel is set
I'd prefer gin2jellybean for the looks & perf. If not i can just use its theme on both dixperia 2 & Nxt rom.
Regards,
Sdojoin
Thanx for your feedbacks!
So in bottom line the best roms are, NXT, Dixperia2 and Gin2jelly...
Anyone has used Trueancestor or the Cyanogenmod? or any other GB stable rom?
thanx again!
Cheers! :good:

I think the sega or rush kernels have this also. Wouldn't recommend it, to be honest. The difference between 1.6 and 2.0 is almost unnoticeable performance-wise but your battery life will suffer.
Thanks man

Overclocking to that frequency is close to deadly for our phones. Better just sell your phone, you get money, instead of just a brick.

Will there be a stable rom that is better than stock?

Have installed many roms, but have always reverted back to stock. When a new one comes with promises of bug free, stable, etc. I have been tempted. But it never promies what the subject says.
Is Acro S a lost case when it comes to other than stock?
If cyanogenmod is made for acro s then yes, there will be

Right now i'm on with the SLIMbean ROM 4.2.2
I really tried everything but no one is better (for me, since now).
It's fast, smooth, and the battery is pretty ok!
I's a shame that SLIM crew had stop the developing for the xperia s.
