[Q] Arc s, Wifi and no Connection at all - Xperia Arc Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey there,
I am having the following problem and I hope that someone on this lovely Board will be able to help me solve it.
I have updated my Arc s to ICS yesterday. The Flashing Process worked very well, thanks to the Guide on the Board. After the last Reboot of my Phone I was greeted with the new Start Animation Logo and the Guide to Customize some Options, including Wifi settings. I skipped it. When the Process was finished, I went to the Settings Memu to Setup my Wifi on my Device, entered the Password (no Typos, Triple-Checked), touched Connect and....it shows "Authentification Problem". Every Time I try to connect. Before the Update everything was working perfectly nornal.
Then I went to look through the Board, found a Theread were a Fix was offered. I downloaded it to my PC. Now for the Tricky part:
As I have mentioned, I don`t have a Wifi Connection with my Phone. So, how do I Install .apk files onto my Phone? I neither have Bluetooh on my PC, nor do I have a File Manager installed in my Phone.
Thanks in advance
Jack

There can be problems with .70 baseband. Try flashing .66 baseband with flashtool.

Problem Upgrading Artemis

Hello,
While I was upgrading my Artemis to the Artemis Touch 4.02 version, there was an accidental powercut and the updating process was interrupted.
I turned on my phone, it's still working thank God, but I feel like some things are changed in terms of theme and lots of contacts are missing. Anyways, everything is safely backed up.
When I connect my phone to the PC, the synchronization process is successful, the phone Connects to the PC, but when I start updating my phone, the process does not start and an Error 602 (Connection problem) pops-up ironically.
How can I resolve this problem to update my ROM?!
Please someone help asap!
SOLVED
Okay thanks for the help everyone... haha
I solved it myself after such a long time figured out that it's such a simple problem to resolve... I removed the MircoSD from the cellphone, and it successfully connected and installed.
Whoever has this problem do it, and it will work!!

[Q] Why is my sim not recognized in cyanogenmod?

I have an Xperia Play and I decided to flash it with cyanogenmod. First version I got working was the 7.1.0.2. Everything was working fine except for my network: the phone didn't even ask me for the PIN.
After this, I tried the experimental CM9.0 RC1, yet I found the same problem: SIM card not recognized, phone didn't ask PIN, no networks found.
At this point I realized I didn't install a baseband on my phone and tried that. I started flashing it with flashtool, but then forgot to install the .zip file from CWM.
With this the phone was asking for a PIN, but soon afterwards it asked for a "SIM network unlock code". My phone is not sim locked.
After I installed the baseband -36 correctly (with the .zip file from CWM), it returned to behave like before: no PIN asked, no networks found.
Is there a fix for this? I searched for a whole afternoon for this, didn't find anything. I'll give further details if needed, thanks in advance.
By the way, if I revert the system to the stock sony ericsson ROM everything works fine. My carrier is "3 Italy".
EDIT: Installed CM9RC2 and now everything works fine except for wi-fi. Well, i suppose it is to be expected from experimemntal builds.

[Q] CM11 WiFi doesn't connect

Hi there, my first post.
I've used arco68's guide to root my S4 mini LTE (serranoltexx) and flashed the CyanogenMod 11 M9 snapshot (cm-11-20140804-SNAPSHOT-M9-serranoltexx.zip), but the WiFi isn't working properly. Sometimes it connects (very rarely), but most of the time it just says "Connecting", "Authenticating..." and then goes back to say "Saved, secued with WPA" and the process repeats again.
I've tried flashing the following ROMs, but the WiFi isn't working properly on either of them:
cm-11-20140804-SNAPSHOT-M9-serranoltexx.zip (current)
cm-11-20140708-SNAPSHOT-M8-serranoltexx.zip
cm-11-20140813-NIGHTLY-serranoltexx.zip
Other things I've tried so far:
Using CM File Manager to delete contents of /data/misc/wifi and rebooting, as described here, but it didn't help.
Installed SQLite Debugger, went to Settings Storage > setttings.db > Global, where I wanted to change the value of wifi_display_on to 0 as described here, but it was already set to 0, so no luck here.
Changed the Region Code in WiFi settings (as described here) to United States, then to Europe, but this didn't help either.
Installed the latest nightly update, but still nothing.
Basically, I've tried everything I could find, but the WiFi still doesn't work, and I have no idea why. I don't want to downgrade to CM 10.2, since later when I decide to upgrade to CM 11, I'd need to wipe all the data and make a clean CM11 install. Also, I don't want to flash any other ROM except CM, so telling me to install Paranoid Android or anything else wouldn't help.
If you have any ideas how to solve this, that would be great! Also, feel free to ask for any additional details.
Update: I've just discovered that it connects to open WiFi networks without any problems (though I've only tried it on 2 so far), so probably WPA encryption or my old home router can be the cause of the problem. I can only change my home router to WPA (it doesn't work with WPA2), so I've yet to try it on another router supporting WPA2. If that works, it would solve the whole problem! I'm ashamed to say I haven't thought of this earlier...
Update 2: I just tested it on a WPA2-protected WiFi network and it connects without problems. The most likely conclusion seems that CM11 has some problem with WPA, so for the time being I'll switch to another router with WPA2. Hopefully gets fixed with the next snapshot!

Trouble with DHCP for Wifi

I have never had an issue with any android phone connecting to Wifi, but since I just rooted my phone and installed Pure Nexus, I have not been able to connect to the WiFi at work with a DHCP connection. All other WiFi still works.
It seems this has been a long standing android bug, and there are some fixes out there which didn't work. I tried to delete the files in the data/misc/dhcp folder, but there wasn't anything in there. I also switched everything in the dchpcd folder to allow the owner, guests, and others to "execute. Didn't help.
I tried installing a new ROM (Chroma) and I'm still having the same issue. I tried installing a new kernel (Elemental) and I'm still having the same issue.
I installed CatLog, and with no background in programming it's a bit hard to tell what I'm looking at, but it seems like everything works until it gets to a "DCHP Broadcasting" or search or something, and then it just times out and recycles.
Does anyone know what to do?

[Q] WiFi stopped working.. Tried everything

I've done a lot of searching around here and couldn't find anything that could get my WiFi working again. A while back I was following a tutorial that would let me edit my network bands, but I could never get it to work.. Shortly after I noticed my WiFi stopped working. I'm not sure if it's a coincidence or not. Anyways, I've tried everything. I've used stock RUU's to flash it back to stock (erasing everything), installed different ROMs, Kernels, etc. I've noticed the WiFi will work shortly after a fresh install but after a bit it just stops. Turning it on will give a WiFi error followed by "settings has stopped working". I've even opened up my phone and made sure the antennas were connected correctly but that didn't do anything. My Bluetooth works just fine though!
I'm s-off and rooted
Helped one of my friend - installed latest firmware update, but he has phone without root and locked bootloader + s
-on
Where can I find the firmware update?
Did you try using a different SSID ?
Or did you verify the RUU flashes clean ?
Maybe your WiFi Chip is broken
