[Q] how to get my warranty back? - HTC Wildfire S

hi,
i think i have broken hardware which are causing some touch screen issues....so i have to send it to htc center for it to get repaired...so need my warranty back
so i wanna know answers for:
1.how to unroot?
2.how to remove cwm and super user?
3.should i lock the bootloader?
4.what else should i do to make those guys(HTC) believe i didnt do any hacks?
plz help me out..........
thanks in advance........

Where are you from?
Are you using a custom rom?
Do you have a backup of your stock rom?

If you unlocked your bootloader with the htcdev method then you are probably out of luck.
Even if you relock the bootloader HTC will have your phones imei number on their database stated that you unlocked.

maybe you could try using the tool to control your bootloader.
Search on this forum "Control your Bootloader and set Superversion for downgrade" and you can change your unlocked in the bootloader to locked.
if you want to unroot i recommend you watch the video on MrTaco505's youtube channel
Remember to thanks if it worked =D

i am from india....ya backed up stock rom and runnin it now....cant they atleast do paid service if it rooted....

[Q] lock bootloader not relock. Possible in a510e ?

Is there any method that can lock my WFS's bootloader so that when its locked, I'd be able to gain warranty back ? I have a hardware issue going on with the phone and hence want to do so.... If there is any successful method please direct me to it, cos I was not able to find it with quick search on xda, so thought of asking.
There are bootloader related softs by genius people like simonsimon34 etc, but using these, the bootloader says RELOCKED, that shows that the warranty is void from HTC but if there's any method that can make the bootloader say LOCKED like earlier then I'd be able to claim warranty and would be able to get my phone repaired....
Any help would be appreciated....
Thanks loads in advance....

ViperX or Custom rom install on htc one x with carrier lock

Hi there guys, im sorry if this is already asked, i have been searching but my english is not great and i havent found anything regarding this matter, i have an htc one x international version, it is locked by carrier, my carrier, i am wondering, if i install a custom rom like viperx, wich is the one i want, will i have any problem regarding the fact that it is lock by my carrier? i do have the sim of the carrier coz i use it, but i dont want to mess up, thank you all in advance!
Yes you can use it, the only thing you might lose is the phones warranty because you have to unlock the bootloader.
Thanks

Thank you very much for the fast answer!. I really dont mind about the warranty issue, but one question though, if you go back to stock they can tell you unlocked the bootloader before? i mean even if u lock it again? thanks so much, very noob here with htc haha
Yes your bootloader is now locked, when you unlock it says ... Hahah unlocked ! And when you re-lock it again ... It's says .......
Relocked !
It will never go back to locked.
Ow and please make a nandroid backup from your stock rom after unlocking the bootloader and flashing the custom recovery. You will need it when you want to go back to stock. And copy it to a safe place !

[Q] Bootloader status

Hey guys,
I have tried to search for this but I couldn't find it anywhere. Can anyone tell me if this means my bootloader is locked or unlocked?
I want it to be locked because I need to send it back to LG for some touchscreen defects, and yes I didn't even take a look of the locked bootloader before unlocking it.
Thanks for helping!

Best way to be sure you removed any trace of unauthorized modification is tu use kdz updater and a sdcard wipe, after you backed up all your stuff.

htc one m8 warranty

hi,
i have htc one m8(european version) for almost two weeks and i am very satisfied of him.
i want to root the phone and i know all the procedure to do this.
my question is, if i open the bootloader through the "htcdev" site, there is any chance that my carrier will know that i have open the bootloader and after that will cancel my warranty?
because, i read guides on the XDA how to unroot the su and how to flash the stock recovery but i am afraid that it is not enough to keep my warranty be maintained.
thanks

your bootloader will show that you unlocked your phone. However as long as there is no issue with cpu etc meaning hardware that could have been damaged by overclocking etc there should be no issue at all.
you don´t loose your warranty in any case, only certain repair things might not be accepted.

thankes for the answer.
so as long as there is no problem with hardware and the phone itself, the warranty mantain.
but they can actually see that the bootloader is open in the phone or they dont care of it?
there is a guide how to lock the bootloader?

If you just do the fastboot OEM lock command then it'll say relocked. However, if you're s-off there's a guide by scott1223 that let's you go back to locked instead of relocked. This way they won't be able to tell of you actually unlocked it or not.

If you unlock the bootloader it still shows tampered at the top. Unless we get S-OFF, there is no way to get rid of the tampered message.
