TouchWiz Theme? - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Is there a TouchWiz theme for the Nexus. Would love it.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA

That funny because most people got the gnex for the ABSENCE of manufacturer skins like touchwiz, blur, sense. To each his own I guess but I personally am not aware of a touchwiz theme.

found this touchwiz launcher a while ago for the nex, havent tried it yet cause apex its too lovely but you can give it a shot

Why in earth did you buy the nexus.... really lame..

OMG!!!!!!! Touch wiz on a Nexus lol!? Touch wiz was the reason I sold my at&t note, well that and the current lack of development compared to the international Note. Plus once AT&T Note gets its official ICS perhaps months from now, it will have a touch wiz overlay. BOO!

Is there a MotoBlur theme?
If so, I would be interested.

I actually liked TouchWiz on my Sprint GSII. It was very smooth because it had hardware acceleration and had some cool features with widgets, and the TouchWiz apps aren't all that bad.

[Q] Touchwiz for Galaxy Nexus?

Hey guys! So, its almost time to upgrade from my HTC Droid Incredible and I've been comparing the Galaxy Nexus and the Galaxy S III. I've been running a CM9-based Touchwiz ROM on my Dinc for a few weeks now and I absolutely love it. I actually have been digging it so much that, for a while, I was sold on the Galaxy S III... until just now. The main differences for me between the Nexus and the S III are the camera and Touchwiz. I think I can live with the 5MP camera in the Nexus vs the 8MP camera in the S III, so thats not a total deal-breaker. But what I was wondering is, is there a Touchwiz ROM for the Nexus available? If I can get Touchwiz on the Nexus, I'm sold. There is so much more dev support in the Nexus community vs the S III that I'd really rather get into a Nexus. Thanks everyone for your time!
There is no rom with touchwiz that i know of. but there is a touchwiz launcher you can flash.

Well, a launcher is better than nothing! Also, I just dropped my Dinc and shattered the screen. Looks like I'll be upgrading sooner than expected!

Try www.mrmad.net I have the Galaxy S3 addon for the Galaxy Nexus I am very pleased with it. Have an issue with one or two apps in the build but overall, I like it. They have a Touchwiz addon there as well you might want to check out (use Google Translate to translate the page from German to English)

I think it's safe to assume most people that have moved from a Nexus to an S3 wouldn't continue to lurk in the Nexus forums. Probably best to ask in the S3 forums :good:
I love my Nexus and will always stay Nexus for the stock Android experience and abundance of ROMs. That said though I did try a S3 4g/LTE model today and was MIGHTY impressed with how snappy it was with Jellybean.
I've been tempted several times. Its the physical buttones that are holding me back.
I recently had the chance to get it myself. But I couldn't do it. I was looking at the aosp development, and from what I'm used to it was weak. I could live with touchwiz but I just don't like it. The physical keys where also a downer. Just something I wouldn't like to give up. And since i already have a quad core tablet there really was nothing besides a better camera and even then the gnex camera is pretty good I don't listen to what others say I know what I've seen it do.

Wrong i have both and im using my nexus now. Gnex will always be smooter than and non native aosp devive

I have both as well (SGS2 being my daily phone) and for me (my own personal preference) both the GNex and SGS3 has their own perks in their respective right. With that being said, if i had to choose, my GNex will come out on top each time. But my SGS3 is a damn good device.

Im talking about pure Android loke aosp or cm10
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
The latest Touchwiz is pretty bad. I had TW ICS on my tab2 and just recently we got TW JB on the tab2. I don't know if the SGS3 will get something similar but this latest version of TW JB on my Tab 2 is slow, the browser force closes and the interface has been changed for the worst. The ICS version of TW was better than this newest version they have released.

have you even tried a gs3? even though the gnex is really smooth, the s3 is pretty much on par with their touchwiz.

The bigger question is did you read what he said? Now re-read what you typed.
He was talking about AOSP. If there was still confusion, he posted specifically that he was talking about AOSP, over an hour before you posted.

For the last time im not on about ****wizzzz im on about pure Google Android like cm10
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
I have both and most of the time use my s3 for the battery life. If I want to try something new or interesting I'll usually do it on the nexus. As far as bad aosp goes I'm not sure what you're smoking, we get nightly cm10 builds consistently. I'm currently running the m2 release and it's perfectly suitable for every day use. Prior to this I was running paranoid and it was great. M2 just has better battery life. Also while they do get worse battery life than touch wiz it's still better than my nexus.

lolno.
Well a lot of people I know have the s3. A lot.
Anyway...I've had a lot of opportunities to play with it. It is very very very fast first and foremost!
I've mostly played with the ICS versions. So smooth and a real joy to use. The nature UX is also very nice. Its one of the best android skin I've used from any OEM I think. They finally moved away from trying to mimic the IOS look and feel with the UI which is good.
I've tried the jellybean version of the s3 just once and to be honest I could not tell a big difference. That's because the s3 is awesome with speed and responsiveness even with ICS.
The screen is excellent also, and the feel and look of the handset in the hand is nice. It looks a lot like the galaxy nexus with buttons.
I would not move to the s3 as a full time replacement for the galaxy nexus however. Simple reason being that I had the galaxy note and waiting for ICS and Jellybean was not my thing.
I'm too comfortable with quick stock updates from my nexus s days. Plus the main reason also...the galaxy nexus is insanely fast and smooth already!

Why did you but your Galaxy SIII?

I was wondering.. What did majority of the people that own a SIII, buy it for? I was talking to a guy at a Verizon stand about the GSIII and he was talking about how much he hated touchwiz, and how much it slowed down the OS (have to agree compared to stock android), but his only reason to buy this phone was to root it and put CM10 on it. And that was his whole argument on why he would get it. I love touchwiz since my Vibrant. I love all of the features and its looks. I love how it advanced from touchwiz 4 to this. It's fantastic to see this change. I bought my GSIII because I have had the two Galaxy S phones before this. If I wanted stock android, I would have gotten the Galaxy Nexus.
Now please, tell me why did you got your Galaxy SIII?

this phone is seriously ridiculously amazing. far exceeded my expectations (i've only had it for 2 days and im in love) by far the best phone i've ever had. it's buttery smooth which to me was my only issue with past android phones. no lag whatsoever and the display is beautiful.
It was a tough decision to move from pure Google to the note 2. But reading reviews and having multi windows open sealed the deal. Anybody else leave galaxy nexus for this phone?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
Never mind I read that question wrong lol
Usually people don't leave stock Android if they like that. But if you enjoy that layout of the stock Android home and app drawer, then you can download the Nova Launcher (you can even get the stock icons instead of the ugly TouchWiz icons). I came from a CM ROM back to stock and needed that look. However, there is sooo many more features in touchwiz that are nice.
But especially with the development section, you should have no problem getting an AOSP ROM if that's what you prefer in the future.
