So I was just wondering if I could stop my One X automatically going to a screen to select a new network operator when I lose signal..
I am half way through playing games, then I lose signal (WHICH SHOULDN'T AFFECT GAME PLAY, AS I AM CONNECTED TO WIFI ANYWAY!), and my game is then paused for me to press the back button to go back to the game?
Thanks

When I shut my device off it disconnects GPRS, I want it to leave it on all the time unless I disconnect it, because I want to sign on AIM, and be able to shut it off in my pocket and if someone IMs me it will make a sound like usual.... Anyone got any ideas? I know its something with the registry.
If you have SPB Pocket Plus, you can use "toogle screen" to switch off the LCD screen to save battery, while applications and GPRS connection would still be running.
When you press the power button, you are actually putting the device to stand by, hence AIM and etc. would not stay connected.
I have copilot 8 loaded now on my phone , I drive a LOT for work and have to take many calls whilst driving. On my TP2 whils in a call I could switch it back to the nav whilst in the call. How do you do this with the desire ??
Hi I have not found a way to do it automatically which would be great but I just press and hold the home button whilst on a call and do it from there.
Exactly that - hold home and reselect copilot. It doesn't close when on a call so goes straight back to where it was
Co-Pilot also minimizes to the Notification bar, so just pull down the bar and select Co-Pilot to get back to where you were.
Be nicer if it just went back to the app automagically tho...
my ion is constantly taking me to the mobile network settings whenever i end a call, even when data is enabled... how do i stop this from happening?
ive turned off all background data traffic but this issues still persist.
And you've rebooted the phone right. Obvious I know but still. If when it comes up to the network settings have you just been hitting the home button or the back button to get out of that screen? Try backing out of it completely till you are back to the home screen them try another call.

Hey there,
New SGS3 owner coming from an iPhone 3GS, and I have run across a few items that I'm just curious about whether they're 'normal' or not for the Android system.
Running CM10 10/19 NIGHTLY
1) I just installed a new SD card. Every time my phone reboots I get a popup 'Preparing SD Card/Checking SD Card'. It doesn't take very long to go through, but is this normal?
2) I have a data tethering plan. I have connected using the Wifi hotspot and direct with Bluetooth. Bluetooth seems faster (although seems to drop the connection when the phone's screen goes off). Is this normal?
3) Sometimes when I press the 'Home' key, the screen does not immediately turn on to the lock screen. It either takes a few presses, or I have to use the lock/unlock button. Since I don't know if its related, I am using Nova Launcher Prime, not the built-in Trebuchet launcher. Is this normal?
Thanks in advance for your help!

1 - Yes
2 - May be tied to the Wifi issues with the new CM10 nightlies
3 - Yes, doesn't matter the launcher, but again, known issue, sometimes even the power button takes a press or 2
i'm looking for a device with a hard button on it that can connect wirelessly to my PC, either through the network or bluetooth module - so that i can play and pause music (or whatever is the active button in windows when after pressed).
i want to be able to walk around my room pressing play and pause.
the ideal device is the phone. Trouble is, i dont want to walk around with the screen on, to access the soft buttons - numerous problems with this, waste of battery life, and i don't want to have to look at the screen every time i want to press the button.
So........is there any way to use the volume keys with the screen off, either of them, so when i press it, it maps to the left mouse button on my pc??
