I have copilot 8 loaded now on my phone , I drive a LOT for work and have to take many calls whilst driving. On my TP2 whils in a call I could switch it back to the nav whilst in the call. How do you do this with the desire ??
Hi I have not found a way to do it automatically which would be great but I just press and hold the home button whilst on a call and do it from there.
Exactly that - hold home and reselect copilot. It doesn't close when on a call so goes straight back to where it was
Co-Pilot also minimizes to the Notification bar, so just pull down the bar and select Co-Pilot to get back to where you were.
Be nicer if it just went back to the app automagically tho...

anyone notice that when your in a call, and you move the phone away from your face, it sometimes goes to the home menu?
sometimes when the call is over i go to hang up and notice its in the home menu and i have to open up the phone program to end my call... its a pain...
Or you could just press the bottom right button
will that still end the call from any screen yoru in?
well ill try that next call..haha..
Yah....that's the main reason the button is there. If you are in the phone screen, press it twice and it brings you home
wow.. it works awesome... !!!!! lol
thanks!!
Hi, anybody know how to make the contacts show up on the phone screen instead of the call history?
When I press the contacts softkey at the right bottom of the phone screen it doesn't do nothing.
Also, what is the function of the button left side of the Talk button on the phone screen?
Using a tilt2 on stock rom so no clue if you have the same setup.
When I hit contacts (bottom left for me) it works fine. The button to the left of talk for me is the call history. Asusmign they are reversed between the tilt2 and whichever version you are using, the Button on the right of talk (toggle with a head and a bunch of little heads around it) is the conference call button for me.
I have the Tilt 2. Does two softkey I mention on the phone screen doesn't work when I press it. It is only showing the phone pad and the call history.
Coming from the EVO I have a couple questions.
- Is there a way to get the phone when done with a call to go to the home screen? My EVO was like this and I have searched through settings and can't find anything.
- Also I drive a lot so when I press my bluetooth button on all my past phones the phone would wake up and let me make a call without touching the screen. But when I press my bluetooth button the phone doesn't even wake up. Sometimes the vlingo app will come on and tell me how many calls I have missed, but it doesn't let me make a call through the headset.
If I reach over and press the power button then the phone turns on and the vlingo starts up. I don't care for the Vlingo but will live it until I get brave enough to root to freeze it.
But is there a setting my phone will wake up the screen when I press the call button on my headset?
I'm using ARHD 9.7.2 and having issues everytime I end a call.
Not sure if this is ROM issue, but it started appearing after I flashed the rom.
Sometimes, but quite often, call ends and everything works fine, but after a short while, when I turn on the phone, I get the full call screen with grayed out "end call" button (from the previous call), I can't click on it (on the big red "end call" button), but I can click on the buttons to the left and right (contacts and dialer I think).
Sometimes I can kill the call screen and go back to home screen, but it does pop up after a while again, usually with completely unresponsive buttons. I can't even get the restart menu, so I have to turn off the phone by holding on button.
Anyone know what is causing this issue? It's really annoying.
I just figured a trick and I wanted to share before going to sleep.
You have to be on malaysk rom though.
1. go to settings..display.. and enter the status bar settings
2. Enable the button that switches between apps.
That's it.
Now when you are on call you can press that button and switch to any open app, while still continuing your call.
Home and back buttons are disabled though.
Voila. Good night
