Hi XDA-community,
I've just unlock/root/flash my Bell LG-P930 with CM9 and my wifi isn't working properly. I mean that I can connect to my wifi but the wifi signal doesn't turn blue. I can go on a web site but I can't download anything (apps, files). If strange because if I unbrick my phone, the wireless seem to work correctly. Any ideas?
Thanks
Here's my phone info:
Model #: Bell LG-P930
Android: 4.0.4
Baseband Version: P930MDM9200B-V10f-OCT-31-2011-XX 1
Kernel: 2.6.35.11 - cyanogenmod
CyanogenMod Version: 9-20120525-NIGHTLY-p930
Ok, I know it will sound funny but I solved my problem by installing the "google apps package" named gapps-ics-20120317-signed.zip file
thanks
LG Su640 Wifi Problem
I have a different Wifi issue with my LG SU640.
It's currently on Cyanogenmod 9, version "9-20120422-NIGHTLY-p930" with Reloaded ICS and everything works well.
I downloaded and tried flashing the phone with about 10 newer versions of Cm9. Actually, all of them were successful except that when I tried enabling Wifi, the phone would reboot endlessly. Noob that I am, I can't even email the pros at the Cyanogenmod website.
Can anybody here help out?
Probably has to do with the fact that your phone isn't a p930 and you shouldn't be installing cm9 on it due to different kernels and hardware

SU640 Cm9
If I may point out, my LG SU640 is working really well with a Cyanogenmod 9 ROM meant for a P930. I don't believe that the updates are incompatible with my phone since like I mentioned before, I could flash it properly. In fact, I was already using the phone for almost half an hour until I decided to sync my Gmail account to the phone via Wifi. That's when the boot-loops started. How is this so?
Update: I downloaded and flashed HO! NO!'s kernel for CM9 v2 and it worked properly. This leaves me even more confused why the newer CM9 revisions give me the same bootloop error when I try them on my LG SU640.
I can connect to my WiFi, however, it frequently disconnects when signal is low and shifts to my mobile network... Didn't happen before when I was using the official Rom... I am now using the latest 2.4.0.1version, also, I've flash my radio to the latest 5.17.05.23. I thought the WiFi issue should have been fixed in this version??? Need help~ this is the only problem of this fantastic Rom!!!!

Anything??????:crying:
It's not a rom issue, but rather a kernel issue. I've tried to solve this partially with a couple of custom kernels. See my site for details.

Hey guys, I try to do my research before posting (this is my first post) but I am stuck on this one.
I have:
PrimoU
Llior's CM9 Rom
Titanium Kiss kernel (ICS)
on Koodo (Canadian Provider)
Problem:
I was running the latest Hellboy kernel, but noticed I had better GPS signal with KISS, so I flashed back to KISS to see if It improved the GPS. It did, but now I have no service! I tried restoring to my last Nandroid, but still have the same problem.
WiFi works, but I have no cellular network connection. This is my daily use device so I would love to get some help on this one if anyone has some ideas. For now I am stuck texting on my old optimus one.
Confused!
Thanks in advance!

Well, like it's on: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1757323 for CM9, DONT FLASH THE BOOT.IMG INSIDE THE ZIP, and later, use Maxwen... - and that's a http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1954967
Also, on the thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1765687, it is almost in the first row: IMPORTANT for CM users
If you want to use CM or a CM based ROM choose the correct kernel! CM9 needs a different ramdisk."
On DL web page: http://www.mediafire.com/?lo2ctaplonbdh you'll see a lot of kernels for CM9 - it's not always the latest on that will work with your phone. Try them...
Just courious - why are you on CM9?
I made sure not to flash the boot.img from inside the zip and always ensured I used a CM9 kernel which I flashed before installing a rom. I ran CM9 with the KISS kernel originally as it was what was recommended at the time. Upgraded to HELLBOY to try out new kernel features but reverted to see if the GPS worked any differently. (Tangent: It SEEMED to be better with KISS, but i could be wrong...)
I like CM9 for the stability and less glitchy video/pano modes, which I use often.
I have since gone back to square one.
Tried CM10 with CM10 hellboy. No signal
Tried CM9 with CM9 hellboy. No Signal.
I'm at a loss as to what could be the problem...

I don't know to much about other carriers, but does your phone require a sim?
Yes. It requires a sim.
Tried the sim in my old p500. Sim card works.
Power off the phone and remove the sim for some time(10~15mins).
It always works for me
Or,there may be a problem in the sim slot.

Thanks. Tried that, but no luck.
There is no way I could have messed with the radio or baseband by flashing a kernel, is there?

One more thing that you can try:
- flash stock rom
If you don't have signal with stock rom, might be hardware failure. If you still have warranty, just go and replace it...
Hi there, I own a N7105 Note II and had Cyanogenmod 10.1 nightly build installed. But I am having problem letting the mobile data works on some apps like Email and Instagram, though Wi-Fi will load them.
So I wonder whether there is something need to be tweak?
But the problem does not lie on that rom but all rom I had used.
I done a full re-flashing but to no avail.

Try to re-flash with proper wipes, if that does not help, try to test with a suitable CM custom kernel.
I tried all that before,it don't work as well.

Hello, I have an issue with Wifi, it's connecting just fine but it's slow, I have tried with 3 different CM13 based ROM but no luck. My Wifi is fine because the speed is good in other android phones. Is there a fix? What can I do? Thanks in advance!

Thanks for your suggestion. I'm flashing the correct way. I flashed RR too and I'm using the latest TWRP to do it. I haven't messed with the bootloader or modem. I don't wanna mess up my cellphone. I only rooted and then installed TWRP and then the ROM.
did you have everything updated like kernel, bootloader or modem?

okay ,do you have any previous backup of modem and efs partition?
its okay if you are a noob,i am not that good myself. the beauty of xda is that you read alot about your problem which will help you narrow down things.
read about how to see your current modem, bootloader version and what are the latest ones, and how to update them.
its right here on xda forums
