Hi, my firmware (2.3.6 UHKL1 from Doky) came with a company boot animation and i want to install the original samsung boot animation of Galaxy Y. I only found a thread about installing custom boot animations, but i want the original one.
I don't know how to do it, help
Sorry for my english and thank you in advance.
A company boot animation??!! What does the logo in animation say?
If you hav an nandroid backup then extract the bootanimation there and replace it with the one in your stock rom. Or you could just install a new stock rom

I don't have a backup and i can't install a new stock rom because of the 850/1900mhz needed in Chile in order to use 3g/HSDPA... i'm stuck with this rom so... anyone? plz!
Save me! xD
Try doing data wipe from cwm..try installing a custom rom.... Report that firmware to doky...... Try using system update in settings.... Last option is to ask someone for the media files present in the root.. I cant provide u d files cuz i m usin a custom rom rite nw...

Thanks, but that bootanimation is bigger than the one i need =(... searching on the internet i realise that i only need these files:
With Rootexplorer on Android 2.3.6:
1) in \System\Media\ bootsamsung.qmg and bootsamsungloop.qmg
2) in \System\Media\Video\Shutdown\ shutdown.qmg
3) in \System\ Etc\PowerOn.wav. (or poweron.ogg)
4) in \System\Media\Audio\ui\ shutdown.ogg.
5) in \System\Bin\ bootanimation and samsungani
With that i can have stock bootanimation and shutdown animation.
Thank you all!!

Did you use ROM manger to back your ROM? And the 1979 that's the same thing I got when I back up my phone using the recovery. So that might be it. Another question how many time did you back up your gs3 ?

Dose the 1979 file like something like 1979-01-02.12-34 that's not right but something like that if then it might be that but since u use cwm . You have a file on your SD card called cwm which your back up file should be there . And I believe it is name after that number . . Just in case have a ROM zip ready .. restore that file if it work you good if it don't it well tell just read. Then go flash to the zip ROM you have then go find a stock ROM and flash over .. simple... good luck
I own the Verizon GSIII but thought I would share these around with everyone...
These boot animations will only work with custom Roms/kernels that allow for the use of bootanimation.zip
All flashable .zip's place the bootanimation.zip in data/local
I hope you guys like them...
If you do, give me a "Thanks"

Unfortunately Samsung uses a proprietary boot animation file (bootsamsung.qmg) Stock ROMs won't allow for custom boot animations unless they have been modified. Sorry

hi mate,

cheers
Edit: havent tried any of these animations, but think the first one looks pretty good (Y)
Doesn't work on CheckRom V5
Did you install one of Mazer.one's awesome themes? If you haven't, well, I could say you're missing out on a LOT.

Now, some of you would want to go back to the default Sense 2.1 theme / looks. And, you don't wanna lose data / reflash an RUU. (A very boring, long procedure)
Well, I have a solution for you. I present to you, a flashable zip of the Stock Sense files which will revert you back to the original Stock Looks, WITHOUT LOSING DATA.
Prerequisites:
Stock ROM / Modded Stock ROM (Preferably 2.3.5)
The zip file (in the 2nd post)
ClockWorkMod Recovery / TWRP
Procedure:
Doing this is simple as cake, if you've flashed anything before.
1. Download the zip file.
2. Place it on your SD Card.
3. Reboot into ClockWorkMod recovery.
4. Install zip from SD Card.
5. Choose the zip file.
6. Flash it.
7. Reboot.
Now, you have your precious stock look back.
Bugs:
When I tested this and rebooted after flashing, it said: HTC Sense has stopped working. Just click wait and all will be fine. I guess it happened because I replaced the one from the theme to the stock one.

No i test China JB firmare 2 times. I have always baseband unknown. All functions work without operator function...
I decided to make a new boot animation using an old bios boot animation that I found for a different device and update it to suit the xperia z3, the second half is not my work and is made by someone else but I liked the theme (the original version can be found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/cro...mes-apps/bootanimation-xperia-circle-t3049226)

Install instructions
1. Download the .zip file from the link above
2. Rename it to 'bootanimation.zip'
3. On your phone, go to /system/media folder
4. Backup the bootanimation in that folder in case you want it back
5. Move my bootanimation to /system
6. Rewrite permissions to rw-r-r
7. Replace the downloaded 'bootanimation.zip' with the original in /system/media folder
Please Note
I'm not responsible for any harm that this could do to your device. Do it with caution.
In case of any errors reboot into recovery and remove bootanimation from >system>media and then reboot as normal
Let me know what you think

This one is already set pretty slow so it runs through the windows bit nicely and I don't think there's a solution to run 2 separate speeds, should you need to change it however, edit the desc.txt in notepad++ once all editing is done zip back up
