Hi, im thinking od downloading roalex update 1 bravo what do you think are there any better kernels.thx
1) Never heard of it
2) AOSP or sense?
Its on the rom manager i have oxygen 3.3 rom od something like that
For Oxygen, I thought _thalamus' default kernel was best
What if. I wanted to change my rom how will. I het my previous settings back?
Not sure what you mean? All roms come with a kernel (otherwise they would not work) so when you install a new rom, kernel is replaced.
Rather than rom manager, I always suggest learning to do things manually using recovery. You learn more and understand more of the process.

Some kernels can go to 1190 Mhz, but most desires cannot handle this, or even 1152
yeah but i saw some people with even 1.9 on desire and someone else had stable 1382 mhz on opendeisre rom but i would like to get 1.3 ghz.yeah but i guess 1113 is nice to
1190 is the highest. Back in the open desire days it was 1305 but this was not true. A mistake was made and the incorrect multiplier was used in the kernel. It said 1305 but wasn't really. 1190 is max. Desire cannot handle more

is it possible to overclock the stock rom eu 2.3.5? or would i need a custom rom to overclock?

There's an Overclocked Kernel In the Development section, I remember seeing it.
EDIT: Okay, found it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1430677

The best thing about this unlock from HTC is we have a whole new bunch of people ready and willing to help others now that they've been helped.
Cheers to yourself, Gloris, etc.

Is there a changelog available somewhere?
Btw, I too noticed one small issue with smartass2. Maybe it's the same as the one you found?
When playing music, I noticed a fair amount of skipping when the screen switches off. I initially thought it was the player, the dsp manager, etc. Finally, I came to the conclusion that the governor was the issue. Using CPUSpy, I found smartass2 scaled the cpu to 320MHz when playing music with the screen off. When I changed the minimum CPU speed to 400MHz, the skipping went away.
Was this the issue that you noticed or is this isolated to my phone?
Edit: Will try out your kernel and see if that issue persists. And test the kernel
Flashed the kernel. Doesn't seem to fix this particular issue. If you could somehow implement a fix for this particular issue, it woulde be great!
Will continue testing and let you know how it goes.
Just reporting, one thing I noticed is that 3 of my apps were broken after flashing the new kernel but reinstalling them brought them back to the original state.
new test kernel will be up soon i updated the cpu govenors and add a few more for users to test to see what should stay and what should be removed
quick q: will nightlys be available through rom manager update?
Accelerometer
Hi! Im testing your kernel right now, will post results later.
I have a slightly offtopic question but it's a kernel question.
I have myself a T-mobile Wildfire S wich uses a different hardware form the European Version, the only problem with it is that the accelrometer doesn't work with custom Roms (I've red Alquez said it's a kernel problem).
I wanted to ask you for any tips to star fixing it, I have programming and linux experience but I wouldn't know where to start. Any ideas?
Thanks again, keep up the good work!
does this works with any ROM or only with cm7 rom?

no problem i will download the stock kernel during the week to compile one with the goveners etc for stock roms
test 2 kernel will be uploaded soon once the cpu is more resonsive i will start the nightly compiling
Will it include the qualcomm hw3d acceleration enabled? In that case, is the change noticeable? Does it accelerates only 3d or also 2d, video?
Also, do you recommend using a swap partition?
yes it includes the qualcomm hw3d acceleration
I'm currently using ARHD 33.1 and flashed the lONELyX #022 kernel, but my maximum frequency is capped at 1.3 Ghz.
Powersave is off and i've disabled EDP limitation and disabled the cap at 1.3GHz, but i still can't achieve 1.5GHz, can anyone tell me why this isnt working?
I've searched through the kernel thread but others seem to be able to get to 1.4 or 1.5, and I can't find an answer

Your kernel may not support 1.5ghz or there's a problem with the overclocking app your using.
Give me the link of the thread!

i used it till yesterday evening and 1.5 GHz was working... does it happen only with #22 LI? did you use UV or normal version? have you installed custom apps that can handle CPU max freq? have you tried to flash it again/another kernel/another kernel version and/or another hotplug?

Used the non UV version, I have SetCPU installed to handle the freq, i can set it to 1.5GHz, but it doesnt go above 1.3, even on performance governor, i've flashed different versions of this kernel, LS, LM, but none let me go to 1.5GHz.

Kernel Next Ep10.0 [Intelliplug] and ROM [30/03/2014] [ROM] [Unofficial] Beanstalk 4.4.2 KITKAT for the HTC One X. I have just couple of standard apps, none of them shoul cause reboots...
Why not flash another rom to test for a while. Preferably a stock like sense 5 rom.....rule out hardware is easy to do yourself

Ok... I never tried that kernel, but if it"s undervolted and your phone can't handle too much uv it might reboot itself... This is why i asked you the voltage @1.5GHz and the cpu variant... Anyway you could try to increase voltages by 25 mv and see if it's stable... Or follow Mr Hofs' suggestion...

Uv is managed by kernel, not rom... Anyway, if you flash a sense 5 rom close to stock and leave the default kernel you should be fine... Try something like arhd, maximus HD or lonelyx as they are very similar to stock...
