[Q] galaxy wonder DEAD??after swapper2 install

i need your help please , I tried to apply swap partition on my device hoping would give me extra ram. with mini tools partition i used 2 gb for linux swap partition (i have 32 gb class 4 sd card ) ,downloaded and installed swapper2 , run it and checking many options according to this tuto http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1659231
I turned off my phone, and when i tried to turn it on , nothing happened :crying: my phone was DEAD !!!!!!! or almost , no charging sign (pc or ac adapter),no recovery mode , no download mode, the only signe of life is the QHSUSB_DLOAD driver missin message when i connect it to pc
it seems that im not the only one having this probleme , but i cant find any solution while searching during two hard days , so please , if anyone of you can help , dont hesitate , thank you .
i will wait for your answers with impatience.

try taking a shot with another device for wt the phone shows you, make sure that ur memory card is inside ur phone before turning it on. try again to check if u can get to recovery or download modes while ur memory card is in ur phone. im a noob so i can't help much but maybe we can figure it out together

Did you tried to turn on your phone without sd card and SIM card?

don't mean to be a bearer of bad news, but your phone is hard bricked. Meaning no software will get you out of that. The driver you mentioned is the universal, you screwed something up driver. Youll need JTAG repair

if ur still in warranty then the easiest way is to let samsung fix it for u

My point is there there isn't a software solution . Your phone won't boot into anything. that's why software isn't a solution. You need JTag. a usb jig MAY solve it, but that's the only option short of JTag

i have not warranty because i live in TUNISIA and i bought the phone from a person who lives in europe , there is a samsung service in my country but if i take the phone to them , im sure it will cost me a fortune , so i have to find a solution by myself .

you can try another way beside jtag without using any software..
1. pull out the battery
2. plug the charger/usb charge on pc/laptop
3. hold the vol. down-menu-power(same thing like you do to get to download menu)
4. while you hold those three buttons put the battery again (make sure that you still hold those three buttons)
5. after you put in the battery, download menu will show up (now you can use odin to install which stock rom you like)

im in the business of unbricking phones. QPST has nothing to do with the phone's operating system. Heimdall needs your phone to be partly functional ( download mode) . Odin, same thing. Have you found any drivers yet? You need drivers to talk to your phone at all.

i took the phone to a phone store where they repair a multitude of phones , i found what i look for when i spook to the technicien there, after a while , i returned to the store and found my phone back to life and im very happy , so let me say this , thank you all of you xda members , if this forum does not exist , i will never figure out the solution :good:

I do yesterday my first root. All going good. I got my phone rooted - New android versioon 4.4.2
But after a few hours I think I change my rom. I looking a youtube a good video. I find it.
I do all like video if im completed I restart my phone and after this my phone is bricked.

Phone is turned on but no picture. If I do that: Press and hold volume donw and connect your device to computer with micro usb cable I see some options.

But i dont know what i need to do next. Somebody help me please?
I hope you guys understand my bad english and my probleem.

I think U must go back to stock rom and start from zero

Did you a backup ? You can try push a custom rom via adb and install it via recovery. Which recovery do you use?

I dont have backup and cant rembmer which recovery
And im not the best if this things. I need more explanation

1. Delete all LG software from PC and reboot - DONE
2. Download KDZ you want - DONE
3. Download drivers, LG Mobile Support Tool, patch and flashing tool

Patch - what was it? Please download link

[Q] Official software upgrade - probably bricked my galaxy grand :'(

Hi all
I got a notification of the latest software upgrade available for my device. I downloaded it and installed it. The installation process was shown to have reached 100% and then the phone screen went black and then did not turn back up. When I connect the phone to charger, I do not see any battery charging icon
I had my phone connected to the power outlet while I was upgrading? Is my phone bricked? Any way I can resolve this issue? My phone is out of warranty.
I have never ever rooted the phone. Not sure why would this happen with an official software upgrade.
Any help will be immensely appreciated

I was unable to go to recovery or download mode..
I took my phone to samsung service center and they told my motherboard has problems and it needs to be replaced.. huh

Dear friend, just download your latest firmware at sammobile and flash it thru odin. Its the easiest and safest way to upgrade in my experience.

Search the forum on how to root and u can find there the Samsung USB drivers link. Download that

Previously the PC was able to detect the phone (that mean the driver is installed successfully) but after this problem I can't turn on my phone ,and the screen is always blank.

can u explain how did you end up with blank screen when plug into PC?
did u go to download mode?
because mine was perfectly fine when plug into the PC.

I tried to full flash it using Odin I chooses all files except PDA files.
The phone accepted the flashing successfully
Phone restated and showing the android robot for updating
During this screen became black.
The result:
No response from phone it cann' be charged nor be turned on
I can't open the phone in any mode even download mode
When I plug my phone to the PC it's recognized as unknown device not as previous.

After successful flash the phone will reboot automatically and will stay on bootloop, while rebooting press and hols home+vol.up+power button. Then factory reset, wipe dalvik, wipe cache. Then reboot system..
Why not PDA? When i flashed stock rom i choose PDA and choose the file.
Auto reboot and f.reset time are the only checked boxes

Now I cannot flash it any more because the phone can't start in any mode neither download download mode nor recovery mode. ( may be hard bricked)

one cannot hard bricked thru OTA update of official samsung. because i once update thru OTA and it updated successfully.
maybe it hard bricked when you flashed thru odin, maybe a wrong step.
i cant help you anymore brother, you can search this forum on how to unbricked device, u can try it. goodluck!

Please help me! I want to go back to the stock rom but it won't let me :(

But now I am stuck in a boot loop i think ( it won't do anything but showing me the lg sign )
I tried downloading the kdz file but there isn't 1 site for the Dutch one @ NLD/Netherlands (tbh there is but all the links are down)
I can't boot into the cwm either and I also can't do hard reset...
Can anyone tell me what to do?

I found a sollution for this.
Download LG Mobile Support tool ( http://lg-support-tool.en.lo4d.com/ )
Put your phone in download mode "Hold the VolumeUP + VolumeDOWN Button and plug in the usb cable from your device to your pc [DON'T PRESS THE POWER BUTTON], let it install the drivers. ( To be sure it found you'r drivers, you should press on : Install Drivers
Once you installed your driver of the e98x ( mine is e986 ) Press on Extra functions - Upgrade-error recovery.
Make sure it found your device and make sure you are connected to the internet "IT WONT WORK WITHOUT INTERNET CONNECTION"
Launch it and it will reset your phone to new ( it did for me )
Don't get mad if you lose you're data T_T this worked for me so it should work for you to

Nope, aint working since it says that my battery isn't fully charged. but i even tried the battery of a friend of mine and it says the same..

are you able to enter into the recovery by pressing pOWER + VOLUME UP ? the device must be turned off and to be sure, pull battery and charging cable off and put battery back to do the pressing combo.

how do you get into the recovery mode?
please do not mistake cwm and recovery mode, because cwm is your recovery mode.
so please tell what steps you were using so that we can help you

well, I tried powering off the phone----holding volume DOWN+UP and plugging the usb into my lg.
I also tried that while I took out my entire battery but the same results

Ehm guys, I would like to know how to get my phone back to the stock image. I am still stuck on the error which says my battery is empty when I try to restore it but I quess it is because my phone thinks it is en E980 while it is an e986
Or it is because I flashed Madmacks kernel or smthing. Any solutions? :C I just wanna go back to the stock image D:

1. connect ur phn to ur pc and install flashtool from step 4.
2.install drivers of ur mbl
3.download the kdz firmware file u want from here http://www.lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=25
4.now follow the steps provided in the thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2797190
5.its better to choose cse flash as i did that(when i chosen normal flash,the update stopped saying some error.so disconneted my net connection and tried again.it worked)
6.if u follow the above steps correctly,ull get ur phn back within 6 minutes.
(sorry for my english) and please let me know if ur phn is back.

Unfortunately I don't have the 986 and didn't catch that was your specific model. If you're in a bricked mode already and have access to your original FW then its worth a shot for recovery. YMMV

make sure you have your internet connection disabled when you start LG Flash Tool and that you are using Windows 7, i dont know if it will work on windows 8, but im sure it wont work on winXP.

So I downloaded the full flash files from this post in "http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f684/help-samsung-i9082-hank-logo-1780647/".
In the download mode I selected all files ((except the pda file)).
The download process is completed successfully and the phone restarted then screen became blank.
Now the phone is dead I can't open it in any mode even it doesn't be charged and the pc can't recognize it.

The problem that I cann't open my phone in any mode download or recovery mode.
PC cann't recognize the phone if i connected it

I think the problem is software problem so it could solved.
When I connect the phone to PC it is recognized as unknown device not as previous which I could recognize it by Odin.

Same thing happened with me last year...!!!!
I flashed a firmware using odin on my note...
I flashed wrong firmware for my note.
Aftr many attempts Odin was saying unrecognised device...!!!
I hard bricked my note...!!!!
Screen was blank..!!!
Ask help from dev.!! Pm them..!!
Hope dev can save your mobile...!!!
Try using heimdell..!!!
Its a software For bricked samsung mobiles...!!!

hmm
its easy open odin connect your phone with pc in switched off mode ( remove battery before connecting to pc & when connected insert battery ) press vol down + home + power hopefully that should work for you cause the issue is windows don't install proper drivers & pc keeps showing unknown usb device connected or similar bla bla bla i don't know what this does but i am in similar situation almost 5-7 times till now with diff samsung models & this always worked for me hopefully for you too may work good luck ! :fingers-crossed:

Thanks for your reply.
I've tried many times but I failed, the phone can't be detected by Pc nor ODIN.
I went to maintenance store and they told me that it need the bootloader to be installed and they failed to flash it using JTAG box.
What Can I Do!!!!!

oops that hurts there is only 1 way you can make it work again i had same issue yesterday with s7562 just a few minutes before got known how to fix this & the only thing that worked for me was this thread

previously you didn't mentioned that your phone don't even start, as per your later post you said it is recognized as unknown device that means device is able to response to your computer
& if all above is correct then flashing through ubuntu or any linux distro is only your last option cause there is no such thing as unknown device in ubuntu
i had a similar phone that won't boot in recovery nor download mode only blank black screen i tried many option but ubuntu was life saver for me, try it its worth :good:

If you read the title of my thread and the first post you will discover that my phone can't be turn on.
Anyway should I have Ubuntu or could I try this on PartedMagic live cd?

Yes, Phone doesn't start (no screen, no download mode, no recovery mode, and can't be recognized by ODIN)
But when I connect it to the PC I hear the sound of the connected USB (from windows themes) and in the devices manager it's found as unknown device

seems hard bricked
here are few option the best is USB JIG buy it from ebay or amazon USB JIG costs no more then 200Rs ( 3-4 dollar )
second alternative ways am attaching links this helped me few times so i always have them bookmarked may work for you too but i still prefer USB JIG method
