Try wiping cache/factory reset in stock recovery. Also, if the rom flash was really quick, that means it was a bad install and you need to start again. Flash the rom twice to be safe.

What rom did you flash thru cwm2.x?
Edit; I think I missed that, you where just booting into cwm via 3 finger and it didn't boot into cwm?
Edit edit; if you pull the battery and try to boot into cwm again, does it still get stuck st the samscreen?
How can I use the pc if I cant boot the phone to the main screen will it still work. Im sorry as you can tell I'm new to this

Ok here are some vids, the first one is how to root without a pc and he also made how to use odin. Check those out and come back here if you have any questions. Your phone is recoverable, it just may take a bit of work.

Lol.....chances are you may have missed a tidbit of info. Check out odin then, it sounds like it may be your saving grace, also there's an odin thread in the development section. Its all up to date.
Edit; here's the odin thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1052813
Was trying to install clockwork recovery following the guide here - http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Motorola_Defy:_Full_Update_Guide
Well it failed as there was no install.sh in the zip that I downloaded.
Now when I turn on the phone, I get the motorola logo, then t-mobile logo, then motoblur. The last two just go round in a constant loop.
Is there a simple fix to this?
You can try a data wipe but I think the only way to fix it is to flash a stock sbf

Try to reflash a sbf..

read the everything glide thread at the top of the developer forum.
then, read the "how to install" for every rom thats posted there ...
once you've done that, report back to us after you've tried the steps, and explain and write in full detail what you tried step by step.
Gentlemen,
This tab is slow....keyboard is very laggy. So I figured I'd root it and load a ROM to it.... I flashed the file listed in the thread,
however, power, home and up won't go.... upon ocsassion, it wil bring me into factory mode..... wierd. My s3 and 4 rooted just fine,
so I'm no stranger to that......
Suggestion? Is there something I'm missing?
Other suggested in antother thread to reload factory firmware from sammobile...... I don't believe it would solve anything......
Thanks guys
You should try to flash the original firmware and see if it would fix it. Before doing it backup your data in case it doesn't fix

Will do...........sammobile and odin........Correct????

When flashing recovery, do not check auto reboot on odin and when it says pass after a successful flash, do the three combos then flash universal root.zip thing then qualla, your device has been rooted
Source: it happened to me

Well that makes perfect sense........ I'll do that. Might you have a RELIABLE link to the steps for rooting this donkey??
Thanks man

I used this link - Worked just like the video showed except I found that after flashing the TWRP recovery tool, I had to hold volume up & home for an extended period before the tool would boot. Watch the screen. After the Samsung logo dissapears, there is a slight glow on the screen. When that glow disappears, release the keys and you should see a lock screen. Swipe and you're in. Good luck.

Boot to the bootloader and install ROM from there you'll find the ROMs for flashing in the "change from CN to WW" thread

well im not really an enthusiast so would you tell me how to do it
In the thread that I referenced which I am unable to post because tapatalk won't allow me to easily cut and paste, but it is in the zenfone 2 general section it will give you step by step instructions to follow, when I first got my zenfone I brought the instructions up on the computer so I could switch back and forth as I went through the instructions and using adb, it's a thorough tutorial and should get you through it without a hitch.
