I rooted my phone and now want to add themes. I searched the forums for instructions but can not find any. Can someone please walk me throught the steps of this process

First, what recovery you have? I have a youtube video for how to flash a rom/ kernel but idk if I could post that here.

First i would like to thank football for posting the Stock ROM this is based off of!!!
This is nothing but the Stock 2.2.1 MyTouch4G MySense ROM with ROOT and slightly debloated!!!
The only reason i did this is as a request by a person on the site and i, on occasion like to go back to stock while retaining root.
Warning!!! I Am Not Responsible For Anything That Happens To Your Device!!!
I repeat, this is nothing but the stock rom that came shipped with your phone, but has root permissions added, no tweaks, mods, nothing added and SLIGHTLY DEBLOATED!!!
I have only tried this on the newest recovery, 3.0.2.4, and with that said, dont try this on any other recovery!!! JUST SAYIN!!!
Flashing Instructions
- Download the ROM and put it on the root (main folder) of your SD card not in a folder that you have to hunt down
- Boot into recovery
- Wipe data/factory reset
- Wipe cache partition
- Wipe dalvik cache (under advanced)
- Format system (under Mounts and Storage)
***Optional, but i do it every time, just cause it makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside*** Format /sdcard, then of course you have to mountUSB storage and copy the .zip over to your phone
- Install from zip / choose zip from SD card / flash it!!
- Let it finish booting .. it will take you to the setup wizard screen .. DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING! Wait 2 - 5 minutes and then hold down the power button and reboot.
<< do not turn on wi-fi until it says so in a couple of steps >>
- Once it boots up again, it will bring you back to the setup wizard. DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING again!! Wait another 2 - 5 minutes .. then log in to Google
- You may now turn on WIFI

HOW TO REPORT A PROBLEM TO ME
IF YOU DONT REPORT THE PROBLEM IN THIS FORMAT THEN I WILL IGNORE YOUR POST DUE TO THE FACT THAT YOU CANT EVEN FOLLOW THESE SIMPLE INSTRUCTION​

actually, i am going nutz on the stock rom as we speak, and seeing what i can do with it, so be on the lookout for an irrelephant mysense rom in the near future...
or shall it be MySense Irrelphant, lmfao

all good, i am a bit of a comedic person and had to poke at ya a bit, lol...
please dont take offense, you were just the first and unfortunate one to ask the first question, wheich i will start making a standard in every one of my ROM releases, so lets not make you the first one on the next rom i releas, which will be all stock, but modded out to my taste, and bloat free just for you, lol

Yeah, i was really surprised it hasn't been dropped before this, but someone was asking about it so i figured i would do it, since i have to contribute somehow, lol. but hey, its the first thing out of my kitchen that has been released to the masses, and its been downloaded 30 times so far, so i guess there is a demand for it! i know it isn't much, but someone needed it, so i am happy!

But ... The first thing I usually check after I install a rom is go to terminal and type "free" to see if it gives me the free memory .. Unfortunately this does not .. It gives error messages.
This is the same thing that happend to me when I first rooted the phone and something went wrong ...re rooted it and works now.
With that said ... Is there something wrong with this rom in the way it has root? Or is there something more to do for this like gfree method ..

all i did to root this rom was throw it in the dsixda kitchen that i got from xda and grant root permissions and zipalign it, nothing more... that being said, there are 3 options on how to give it root permissions, and i will further investigate this and get back to you with an answer. let me flash it again and try exactly what you did, provided you can give me a little info about your phone
method of rooting, bootloader installed, and cwm recover image being used so that i might be able to replicate everything exactly as you have it now

I used the visionary method followed by the gfree method. I have the new recovery and I will have to check the boot loader again here in a minute.

cool, you have the same set up i do, which is good cause i didnt want to have to go back to 86.xxxx bootloader, but i will have to wait until tomorrow some time to get back to you with results as it is 320 am here... sorry to make you wait, but as soon as i have an answer i will get back to you with it

I just restored to my previous Rom ... cm 7 final .. and I did that free in terminal and it worked .. I did nothing other than restore the Rom to my phone.
So it's got to be some thing in the Rom.
My thing is that if that simple command doesn't work then what else is it affecting and it's just not right/ complete.

Try wiping cache/factory reset in stock recovery. Also, if the rom flash was really quick, that means it was a bad install and you need to start again. Flash the rom twice to be safe.

but once i try to enter the recoverymod the screen go off
after the samsung logo the screen become like an old tv screen
with horizontal columns jumping up and down
then it become black
is there any other way to make a factory reset

Just download a stock rom, flash it through odin on to your device after if you enter download mod which is by holding volume up+power+home key while the phone is off. Im sure you know this already but I cant think of any other way since recovery mode is out of the question.

You have to flash twrp 2.3.3.2
The screen goes like that cause of the new bootloader.

1.read toolbox on my signature, you will find guide how to unlock screen lock with Web version of play store. You can skip factory reset.
Or
2.read first line on my signature and read post #6
Download latest recovery and flash using odin, then you can reboot to recovery to factory reset.

do u think i can flash just a stock bootloader instead of flashing a whole stock rom
so will this solve it !?
i will try the recovery that u recommended
but just in case it didnt work
will a stock botloader work for me

You have a new STOCK bootloader which only works with twrp 2.3.3.2.
I never said you have to reflash the rom.

i have checked just now, and appl no longer available on play store, another similiar there but not compatible with note2
so only option available is reflash stock recovery
Download and flash using PC Odin for PDA tab, This won't raise counter.

Hi everybody.At first i want to clarify that i am new to the XDA forum and that english is not my common language so i may have difficulties to understand or being understand. So if misunderstanding occur i am really sorry.
So here what is happening right now. After hours and hours of reading on the XDA forum. I tough it would be cool to root and reflash a custom rom on my SHG-i747M. Si i did root my phone with the unified toolkit v7.0 wich was a success. Then i tried to flash a custom rom wich is avatar rom via cwm recovery. Everything seemed to work fine until i had to reboot the phone wich is now playing the booting animation in loop for hours and hours!
I don't know how to fix this and i am very disapointed since i been looking trough the forum for a solution and doesn't found one yet...So any help would be greatly apreciated! Thank you so much in advance for the help!

Whenever you get a bootloop it's always a good thing to reboot into recovery wipe cache, dalvik cache and try rebooting again.
Thankfully a bootloop isn't bricked.
