Do you guys know how to copy contents from Facebook, Twitter, and the like to the Clipboard? I mean like in the iPhone 4S (or any i-Device for that matter), when you long-touch text contents from a Facebook post or a Tweet, you can select and copy the text. How do I do that with my SGW without using a copy-paste app?

Hi there,
I've just receive my Touch HD, and been playing with it for a bit. I noticed by default Outlook stores my e-mails in my RAM, which I think is a waste of space and would like to use my Storage Card.
Unfortunately, I only seem able to save Attachments to my storage card, not my mail (and calendar, notes, etc.).
Is there any tweak or application that can help me with this? (basicly I would like to store everything that has to do with my Exchange/Outlook on my SC).
And lastly, assuming the above is possible, I would like to synch *all* my Exchange mailbox folders (& entire Calendar, etc) with everything to my phone. Unfortunately, it appears if for example I create a new folder in my Exchange mailbox, I will have to open Active Sync again, to select that folder to Synch.
So I'm asking if somehow I can set it up to always synch all folders, without me having to add any possible new folders.
Thanks in advance
if you want to store your mail on the SD card, you will need a registry editor and then modify & create those values :
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Inbox\Settings]
"PropertyPath"="\\storage card\\Mail"
"AttachPath"="\\storage card\\Mail\\attachment"
here it is just an example, but you can put waht eve you want for the path
Are you sure is it like yours or this?
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Inbox\Settings]
"PropertyPath"="\storage card\Mail"
"AttachPath"="\storage card\Mail\attachment"
I do not want to share via picasa, or flickr, or peep, or facebook with htc sense, or 'mail'. Only bluetooth, gmail, facebook, messages, and photobucket, which I all share regularly with.
How to delete. Another thread said to alter the manifest.xml files that tell the apps to point to the share menu. Where might the location of these files be for these stock apps?
Maybe I am missing something....
When in Internet Explorer, there is no way to share a link with Facebook.
The Share sub menu only allows sharing via Hotmail and Messaging (same goes for albums/songs in Zune). Same goes for the integrated Facebook app -- if I copy a link and paste it in the ME hub, it posts the URL in Facebook as text, not as a link would normally be shared. (I know I can use the Facebook app to post links, but that's not the point)
Is this to be expected?
Thanks.
(fyi, I have the HTC Arrive)
Is there a way of copying text from the windows clipboard into the android phone? I have Bible notes in a windows program that I want to copy to an android program. they are made by different companies, so the easiest way to copy would be to do a verse by verse copy and paste. However, I don't see how I can use my windows machine to get into the android clipboard.
I tried using droid explorer, but couldn't figure it out. I was able to do a screencast.

Best way to do it is to copy the text on the pc into a txt file, like using notepad. Copy that to your phone, then open it using a file explorer, use that text editor, copy it on the phone, then paste it where you need it.
Yes, every will work. Not sure why I didn't think of that. I guess when you have something stuck in your head, it's sometimes hard to figure out alternatives.
To add on to what's already been said, once you save it as a .txt file and save it to your SD card you can import it into AK Notepad. I'm sure that there are other apps that allow this, but that's the app I use & I know that it works. You can also create a shortcut to the imported file on your homescreen (long-press on the note from within the app and select "pin to homescreen") or add a widget so you can access it easily.

You can also use the Google Chrome to Phone extension and program to push snippets of text from your browser to the phone. I'm finding myself using Evernote more than that lately though. Catch notes, Springpad, or any of the other notepad apps that sync would work. It's nice because it works great both ways -- I can copy something from the phone and create a note, then read it from the PC, or vice versa.
Thanks all. I will use google docs. They already have my information.

Hello. Is there a way to split up an SMS thread, like start a new one with someone you know?
My phone has been extremely slow when I open the conversation I've been having with my SO. I haven't deleted it because I see it as precious memories I would like to save and also go back to in case I forget a useful fact.
Finally, is there a way to backup your messages, with pictures and emojis, on the PC? I've tried a few free SMS backup programs, but they save it as some weird file type that can only be imported and viewable by the App itself on a phone. Is there a way to save a SMS log that can simply be viewed on the PC?
Thank you if anyone can help!
