any help will be greatly appreciated
You could move them back to your sdcard, and if the phone is rooted, then move them into the correct folder [probably under data/media] and verify permissions and change ownership.
thanx dude... will do that , if something wrong happens will post back

Accessing ext. SD-card via Wifi

Hi all,
I like to acces my phone via WIFI to upload & download files to it . I use the Websharing App to do this and this works quiet well via a browser on my computer.
However when trying to write a new folder to my external SD-card in my phone, i get an error. I Tried this with different filesharing apps, but i seems like i don't have persmission to do this because i always get the same error.
This problems occurs only when trying to write something to the external SD. Reading & copying is possible.
Does somebody knows how i can fix this problem ?
When connecting the computer via usb-cable , it's possible to write directly to SD card.
(Samsung galaxy s4 mini LTE, android 4.4.2)
Cheers.
On android 4.4.2 3rd party apps can't write on SDCard. You must root Your phone, install Xposed Framework and then download and install module KitKat SD Card Full Access. Also better way to browse and manage files directly on Your phone is SambaDroid, You can even manage system files.

Okay thanks for your help. Will try sambadroid, otherwise will check the xposed framework. Phone is already rooted.
I'm afraid that You also need this xposed module for Sambadroid to work. As I remember it was some build.prop modification to make it work if You don't wanna play with xposed.

D 5316 t2 ultra whats up-to date

My wife has a d5316, which she is totally happy with except for the lack of internal memory. The phone is on 5.1.1 and i rooted it with " kingroot". I would like to
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t2-ultra/general/lp-debloating-script-performance-t3453452 and i was trying to swap the internal memory with a 64 gb
Sd card i put in it, using https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php.
So i downloaded root browser ( jrummy apps inc.) , i found 2 different /etc
Files, and neither one had the vold.fstab folder i was looking for. I didnt try to mount r/w. Because i wanted to locate the file first. Was this vold file moved to a new location in 5.1.1 ? I just dont wanna brick her phone cause I'll never hear the end of it.
I'm just not sure which posts are still good and which are outdated, so if anyone can plz help me accomplish my goals i would greatly appreciate it. Thankyou in advance for any help anyone can offer.

How to read internal internal storage?

Hi to all
I am totally new here on this forum normally I do data recovery from disk drives and flash memory.
I want to learn more on recover data from especially Samsung phones but not with "recovery programs" from China which are totally crab.
I want to learn how it is possible to read out the internal memory as an image copy and thenwork with it like a disk drive.
At the moment I have my own cell phones for experimental work....put photos at a Samsung Galaxy S9 SM-G960F....deleted all ....and now want to get it back.
Could one of you experts give me some hints how to do it in a nondestructive way?
Any help is very appreciated.
Many thanks in advance!
best regards

flash TWRP on it, obtain root via ADB, and shell into the internal storage. The images will all be there fully available for linux to restore and extract.
you have to have shell access to be able to do this. SU for the win!!
