where can I get a governor dowload - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

Hello,
I used the search tool. But couldn't find a download link.
I'll appreciate it if someone will be kind enough, to post a download link for a governor, like smartass. every know and then I read feedback about it .
I want to try it
thanks

Try eugene373 kernels.

Governors are not mods that you can download. They're inherently built into the kernel that you're using. Eugene has smartass built into his streamline kernel, as does synergy. Although I definitely do not recommend using smartass, it doesn't play well with our chipset. Usually after locking and unlocking the screen, it'll stick at max frequency

yes, you are correct, the black edition remake rom came with the synergy kernel, I saw the smartass governor when I open the setcpu app.
But I don't know what happened the smartass governor is now gone! I reinstalled the black edition rom, Hoping to get the smartass back, unfortunately,I still do not get back the smartass governor that came with the synergy kernel. I don't know how to get it back.
I instead flashed the darksideX kernel, it is much smoother, do you know if the darkside X kernel has an update?

Nope, the only updated one is included in his own ROM and can't be found anywhere else.

The reason the smartass governor disappeared is because black edition has been updated to ics and currently there is only one kernel that is compatible with ics and it's the leaked at&t kernel which does not support smartass. If you're on a gingerbread ROM you can just install the synergy kernel to get it back. But like I said, smartass doesn't work for our phones so I don't know why you're so determined to try it

i saw this happening with other governors based on smartass as well.
as far as i know, synergey and streamline have the most supported governors.

Yeah savagedzen and brazilianwax are both based on smartass and don't work either

Yea, unfortunately Smartass gov is not compatible with our hardware, there are no fixes for this. Faux tried to get this to work ad-nauseam a few months ago.

I was playing around with this this morning, and installed it over my MIUI ROM. I wiped Dalvik first, and flashed it. MIUI didn't really like it, even though I was using jcase's 1.8 ghz CM7 kernel with it. It caused it to bootloop (or what appeared to be a bootloop), but came out of it and loaded the ROM after about 6 loops. It ran fine after that, but then on a reboot, caused a ton of lag.
I now have it running on CM7 fine. I didn't overclock it, and am getting 2200 Quadrant scores running the 'lagfree' gov. Very snappy.
I know this is probably a pretty general question, but how does this kernel compare to the stock CM7 kernel?

v2 is out.
Updated with version 3.
This looks great. I will try it out. Smart ass governor did wonders on my dinc1.
So let me be sure here, Im running the current CM7 offered here, I can just run this zip in recovery over my current Rom.
Its from jdkoreclipse, I won't be downloading

In case you are wondering whether or not to download this kernel, hopefully this will help.
Take a look at this guy's signature here:

That sig highlights the conquests of user JDKoreclipse aka rr12106, droidhacker26, m0rt4l s0ul, romflash, & k_chupe.
This is relevant because the kernel in this thread is being hosted at jdkoreclipse.com.

I understand that, but I have been working with him for over 6 months and he has helped me learn when most people wouldn't even respond. He has been trying to make good with all he did in the past but no one will give him a chance. Well hell I don't need to apologize for him- so read this POST Now back to the kernel. I will be taking over development of this very soon, maybe this weekend.

skyraider kernels

does anyone know where I can find extra kernels for the Skyraider 1.3 rom? /: I see that some people are using a kernel called dres #21 kernel but i have no clue where to find it Thanks, and sorry for spamming the Q&As with Skyraider questions !
Search the incredible 2 forum for sense kernel.

Yeah, it's Dress #21 kernel that I use.
Is it really better then the stock kernal with Skyraider? I heard it had major battery problems? And is it as stable as stock kernal?
I don't have any battery problems with drells because it can be undervolted..... Its the best sense kernel there is.

dres kernel is easily as stable as stock.
great kernel! highly suggest it!
Does anyone have a preference for the governors in dres #21? I've been running it a few days now and not sure what each governor does. I would like to have great battery life while also keeping the device nice and snappy.

smartass or scary. both give great battery life, but with scary i notice lag when scrolling in "App Manager" with ES File Explorer. it's a worthy trade-off imo, but it may bother some.
this might help too, [Q] SetCPU governors (explained)
Someone that knows how to should pull out the most recent Virtuous kernel and make it flashable. If no one else does it, I'll try to figure it out, but it's probably not going to work if I do it. Lol
governors wont stick
So I tried a decent search for this, but came up fairly empty. I am using the Dres #21 kernal, and set the governor to smartassV2. Things were working well and I just ran the V6 supercharger script. Now every time I reboot, the governor doesn't stick and switches back to the generic skyraider settings of "ondemand" with 245MHz and 1024MHz.
I got one search result back that said to type in Terminal Emulator: "su", " enable smartass". Tried it and didn't work. Should I use SetCPU?
Any suggestions?

you only get the governors that are included in your kernel. you want more governors, convince francisco. or, find him, then tickle him until he folds

Nyan colonel has lots to play with including moar governors. Marcusant is the bomb, I used his stuff from the original Epic 4G, always a step ahead when we had a flood of ROM leaks.
Edit: forgot there are diff versions of this phone lmao this is my second Android phone, big change.

CPU governors.

Alright this will be short and to the point.
can you add governors to a ROM?
i prefer using "Scary" but most ROMs ive flashed only have a couple govenors, and non are the one i wish to use.
Question is. how can i add the "Scary" governor to my ROM.
i literally know nothing more about governors other than what each one does.
so if you can elaborate a bit.
No. The kernel has the govener. Find out which kernel has that, and flash it to your Rom. Make sure if your Rom is sense, only use sense kernels. Same for aosp
Sent from my PC36100 using xda app-developers app
Scary governor is WIP. It will give almost the same performance as conservative right now.
So if you prefer that governor, just select conservative. You won't notice the difference.

Most stable overclock on stock inc2 kernel?

I haven't seen any posts about the stock kernel on inc 2.
I just recently rooted and s-off'd, and installed PAC rom which has LOTS of options and customizations including overclock. But I didn't flash a new kernel yet and was wondering if anyone has recommended cpu settings for the stock kernel, making sure it's stable. I've only been testing for a day but I've found 1.2ghz to be stable and I'm going to continue to increase it until it becomes unstable.
Usually 1.4 is nice, with vr or sio or bfq and smartassv2 is good

How's battery life with this?
i have evervolv kernel ,working with 1.7GHZ
my inc 2 work with 1.7Ghz no panic,no rebooting
Stable OC
I've had good success with 1400MHz Max. with SmartassV2. and 768MHz Min. I've used these settings with several different ROMs and various Kernels. They always seem to provide stablity, decent performance and only a minor hit to battery life.
