I noticed that after flashing Foxstar 1.4 with the Synergy kernal, that games were VERY slow. For example Temple Run is very very laggy and so was angry birds. So i reverted back to stock. Any help?

well the only thing you can do is either try re flashing following the directions to a t or flash a different kernel.

Temple Run has been lagging for me even on Faux's newest kernel (ultimate edition) with Juggs 5.0...I don't think this first version is very well optimized do be honest (of Temple Run, I mean), especially considering that everything else I run is perfectly fine (and my phone generally feels snappy as hell).

what rom and kernel are you running?
redrum lean stock and I had fauks kernel 008 now I just try Dre kernel first 10 sec of the game smooth then turns to crap.

Which ROM you are using??....
Is it good for games performance like Modern Combat 4 or Need for Speed?
For gaming always use CM10 or PA straightaway!plus overclock the kernel to about 1.5ghz and see the smoothness!in stock, eternity warriors was laggy, used to lag every time the creatures appeared,at 1.5ghz hellboy and PA,that was as smooth as butter

Not ALWAYS go for CM10.
I use stock with no overclock, and I don't lag what so ever.
You overclocked for smoothness.
There is no gaming Rom, but SuperSickKernel is the fastest out right now. The ICS kernels aren't updated

since there is a general opinion that stock is laggy, and it is for most people, hence suggested a JB rom as they are smooth even without OCing.currently yes sick is suggested as its good for gaming.if ur phone is not lagging on stock without overclocking, you are damn lucky

Trying to flash a Mason G v.15rc4 (onto/into?) The Emilio Unchained V 2.0 and just gets stuck in the splash screen (not boot animation) (no bootloops). This happens on a lot of ROMS, but how come?
Sent from my PC36100 using xda app-developers app
The kernel may not compatible with the roms you are flashing
Sent from my PG06100
It appears as though the ROM you're using utilizes the Mason kernel, just a slightly different one than what you're using. Probably not worth the change, really.

Same here. I'm not sure what that ROM is, (GB, ICS, JB) But you get that the Mason Kernels, G = Gingerbread, I = ICS and neither work with JB

I had never heard of it until I looked in development and saw it. It's based on the most recent CM7.2 nightly, though.

Just realized you guys are talking about the rom I'm using
The.Emilio Unchained V.2
It's a tweaked, but basically vanilla rom. I use it to add all kinds of stuff to it like the newest Bravia engine 2 that dieselford put up on Kendall's jellybread thread. Also throw a bunch of build.prop tweaks in as well. The only thing missing now is my little wheatley

So far I think staying stock is just as good as running a developed kernel for this particular ROM imho, especially when you want to get the most battery. I use SetCPu and will run min 486 and Max 1350/1404. SmartassV2 and Zen or cfq governors. I don't play many games on my phone, I have tablets for that and they are tweaked as high as I can go and be stable. It's all about what you use your phone for, most times when I benchmark it seems the higher frequency I push my score actually will get worse, might be I'm need to up my voltage, but I don't mess with voltages much. I will follow the developers guidelines for undervolting if I'm trying to squeeze that extra life, but I don't worry about it that much. Best way for me to extend my battery life is start turning things off when they're not needed. All the things I try with my devices I have learned by reading on the XDA forums, and by far the developers for our GS3's are the best and I'm very thankful for all they give up to give us these awesome roms, kernels, and not forgetting about the theme developers to make or phones run fast, operate smoothly, and look great. Without them might as well buy a fruit product, just kidding I would get a flip phone before I would do that. .... This was meant to be a quick reply, just got off a 14 hr work day and I'm just rambling a little, I hope my reply makes sense.

Hello, I've been having some serious problems with lag and choppiness in games. My phone is rooted and I am running Wicked ROM V8 with KT kernel. The game I am the most upset about is The Amazing Spiderman. The game is so laggy and slow it's downright unplayable. My S2 ran it so much better. I would really appreciate it if someone could tell me what I can do to solve these issues.

Bahhhh... If anything, you are going to have to mess around with ktoonz kernel. Choose a different governor like ondemand or intelli. Let us know how that works out. You might also have to change a few other things if this does not help. Let me know!
