Im running cm-nightlies 256 coupled with tiamat 3.3.7 no sbc and running the ram script. Not vipermods scripts. Apps keep freezing and forceclosing and some even cause my phone to reboot. Its a completely clean install for the rom. Everything was wiped multiple times. Then had a clean flash with the kernel. Any ideas what might be causing it?

Alright since you wiped it I would say its because the kernel and scripts. try getting rid of them bro and see if it helps if not flash a different version of cm because the nighties are not always stable
Fix permissions in recovery or ROM Manager.

Boot to recovery Wipe cache and dalvik 3x each, fix permissions(uid mismatches) under advanced menu, wipe cache and dalvik again, reboot if that doesnt fix it flash the rc of cm7.2 as it's more stable than the nightlys and if u upgrade to 7.2 change your kernel to tiamat 4.1.0 I found it plays better with cm7.2 than 3.3.7 does

I'm currently running cm7 rc3. Do I need to wipe cache and data if I'm upgrading to cm7 rc4?

I did a flash over, didn't wipe anything. No problems as of yet.

Its usually a good idea to at least wipe cache and dalvik. Shouldn't have to worry about data unless you are having problems.

Wipe cache and advanced>dalvik. Then apply the CM.zip, then GApps, zip if you use those, and then any custom kernel that you use.
Doing a backup beforehand is always recommended

Same thing here, no problems yet.
Rule of thumb is to just wipe the cache/dalvik if your updating to the same ROM, just a new update. It's really only when your cross-flashing a different ROM where you need to do a wipe data/factory reset.
I flashed tiamat kernel 4.1.0 at the same time i flashed decks new evo gingerbread rom. And its been working pretty good but its been freezing occasionally and also getting some force closes with youtube then rebooting. I'd like to try decks with the original kernel before i just go back to CM7. Should i just reflash the rom? Do i need to do a full wipe first?

Just wipe cache and dalvik caches then flash the ROM.

Try wiping cache & dalvik cache then changing kernel. If that don't work, wipe everything except for sdcard then reflshing the rom.

Maybe an application you have installed? Try a clean install without downloading apps.

I was having the same problem with the Smartass govenor.
Change it in SetCPU to performance and see if that works.

my present kernel is tiamat 4.0... maybe other kernel ???? which kernel???
and not tested SetCPU i need try this...
I saw ur on ics right now there is only one kernel tiamat 4.1.0 modified so u need to try changing governers or install your apps one at a time from a clean install and find the culprit
We are legion, for we are many
Reboot
Does it reboot after a clean flash? or only after you load apps / restore data?
Like was stated:
Wipe Full
Wipe Cache
Wipe dalvik
Flash Rom
I had no reboot issues, just standard ICS bugs.
Maybe try to download again and then flash?
I'm flashing the Tom with indicate instructions but the reboot continue.
Although, changed the rom miui and run best, changed setcpu at performance and good... the reboot is less.
Only try change to kernel, Wich kernel improve my phone?
Tanks.guys

Hey,
Give it a full wipe "Data Davlik and Cache" and try flashing a differnt rom and see if that gives you any different result.
Did you flash a different kernel or are using any tweaks or mods OC or anything like that?
Because they have been known to cause reboots if not used right.
Stevo
Tanks for you opinion. With miui rom not reboot to much, I think that this rom is the best choice for me.
But with other kernel must be run best...

I loaded MikMik 3.11 (full load not the update) rom on an HC EVO 4g Supersonic. The clock FCs when in desktop night mode. From searching the forums I believe it is linked to when the weather auto updates, still testing.
Also I followed these instructions before loading the ROM and validated the MD5 checksum before loading.

Does anyone have a fix for the FCs?
I'm going to assume you tried wiping cache and dalvik cache again then fixing permissions?

Clearing yes but not fixing permissions will try after this test is done running. Thank you for the reply. I'll post what I discover, takes an hour for each test.

I wiped cache and dalvik cache again and then fixed permissions same thing happened alarms don't fire and it either FCs or drops out of desktop night mode clock.
Hmmmm Idk what would be causing it or if it is a bug in the Rom. I don't have my evo to test it out and left Sprint before mikg 3.11 came out. I would make a nandroid and then wipe everything and do a fresh install and test again before doing anything else. If it still does it, then it looks like a bug in the Rom. What kernel are you using?

Unfortunately this is a fresh install with no other software loaded. The kernel has not been changed and is what comes with the ROM. The developer forum has been closed or I would have posted there. If I ever get a login at MikMik site I'll post there.
Try flashing the latest underworld kernel. I don't think it will help but worth a shot.

No I don't have a fix...
So Im using cm7.2 kang and after 3 months of uses its not very stable anymore. As in it will be randomlly laggy and wont do what I tell it to.
Anyway I love CM7.2 so is there a way to make this stable again without a standard wipe and reflash.
Will wiping cache in CWR work? Will formatting system in CWR work?
Sent from my Incredible 2 using xda premium
Formatting the system will wipe the ROM, I would say clear the cache and see if that works.
Sent from my Incredible 2 using xda premium
I would try wiping just the Cache (and Dalvik Cache) from Clockwork. Like EVorhees said, don't wipe the system as you will have to re-flash the Rom.
