There is no option to uninstall it in the market or under manage installed apps or whatever. It just shows the app needs to be updated which I am not gonna do

No way to get rid of it without wiping data?
If rooted, remove with titanium backup... easy fix
Nevermind it looks like Google took care of it. Its gone from my downloads now.

For sure fix if this pops up for you in the market. If you're rooted and have TiBackup, search for play store, and wipe its data. Done and done.

Anttek
I've liked using Anttek to remove unwanted apps. Is there anyone who has used both titanium backup and anttek? I was under the impression that titianium only "freezes" the app but anttek actually deletes it.

Use titanium backup to uninstall it, if that doesn't work, use root explorer and delete the apk file from system/app or system/data folders.

That's the thing.. I can't find it. When looking closer, it's actually listed underneath my "all" apps and not my "installed" apps. I'm going to try and do a clean install of the play store. Ill report back in few..

Saying I haven't purchased them and fail. i don't have them installed. So I dont know wtf is the problem. I even did a hard reset but issue still shows up. There are a few apps that I want to buy but can't! Any idea what the issue is!

Try to go to settings, then applications, manage applications, market, clean cache, erase data, forced closed market. Then go to recovery, delete or clean cache partition, clean dalvick cache, fix permissions. Then reboot and google play should be working after that. Hope this can help you.

Yeah usually clearing data for market in manage apps works for me.. good luck
Sent from my SGH-T989 using XDA
Any chance they're apps from the Amazon app store? Those show up as Purchased in my Play, but I can't load them. I have to load them from the Amazon app store instead. I break the market link using an app such as Titanium Backup or Ultimate Backup so they won't show up. If that's the situation, clearing market data makes them show up again.

Did a little digging and found this from the GS2 9100 Section (not For our t989 model)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1679856
claimed to fix force close for S voice on GS2 9100
...any dev figure out how to port this over to t989 or if this can even work on ours?
thanks
S voice already runs perfectly using the zip in our theMes and apps section. You just have to use a Samsung ROM for full functionality.cm9 doesn't have all the Samsung apps so you will get force closes related to that issue

I installed SVoice on the stock ICS ROM for the T989 and the network errors kept occurring until I changed build.prop. Even after I changed that however, SVoice just kept FCing. Finally gave up on it and deleted it.
I have it working great on tdj latest tmo ics and thats with touch of color theme on top. Are you flashing zip or just trying to install apk?

I installed the zip via cwm, I removed .apks from /system/app to make room for 30MB voicetalk.apk, I set permissions, I changed owners, I re-installed via root explorer, I rebooted, and was still getting FCs. I was also getting constant network errors until I edited my build.prop to mimic the s3, but I was never able to stop the FCs.
I didn't change anything with root explorer. Just flashed and darkside cache wipe and rebooted. Voila..MAGIC!!(future voice)

I read somewhere that after restoring a nandroid, you'll have problems with moving, deleting and setting permissions in root explorer. Im having problems with root explorer right now and was wondering if this is the case.

I've had that issue (and currently am experiencing it). I've always had to use adb to do what I needed because any file explorer gives me issues with root access. I've never been able to attribute it to a particular cause but now that you mention it, a nandroid restore isn't unreasonable. I'm currently on a nandroid

My guess would be to first clear app data then run super user and remove the program from super user then run root explorer again. That should refresh the super user rights.

Ah I had a similar problem with my HD2. Mine wouldn't even boot though. I guess there must be something wrong with either the way it restores the image, or the way it creates the image.

How do i get that stupid app back? I just deleted it this mrng lol
Just pull the apk from some stock non-debloated ROM.
I am more interested in knowing what system checks it runs before letting you rent/watch/download movies. I restored mine from TiB and when I launch it, it opens, circles and the opens again and cirles again. Never force closes or fully loads up. Almost like an app bootloop if you catch my drift.
In my Googling I found that in the older Vibrant, Media Hub would run a series of system checks before it would let you watch anything. I am wondering what it checks for (probably Root like Google Movies and Vudu) but what else? I have always just deleted it but for some reason this time I froze it.

I wonder if this will be something we can download and transfer to another device, or stream only.
Here's the apk guys. Just copy it to /ssystem/app/ and change the permissions to match other files in the same folder.
Also I don't know if it will work but I know paid version of SU lets you temp unroot. I think ota rootkeeper does as well.
So do I get to keep the movie or just watchable on that day?

I cannot get my Media Hub to stay open. It just loops and never fully stays on. I've restored, wiped apps data, replaced, cleared /cache and /dalvik and fixed permissions, defrosted all the Samsung apps and the dang app won't stay open.
I'm running Wanam's LH2 with Morfic's Alpha7b atm but think I might Odin to do a little house cleaning. Any ideas anyone?

i always delete ANYTHING that says the word "widget" in it. with the exception of your google search widget
all the live wall papers

other small things i can't remember. but those are all safe to remove
How do you all uninstall these?
I mean what is the best practice methods... I'm guessing Freeze then Uninstall using Titanium?
I've heard titanium is the best way to uninstall because it will get rid of "unnecessary" directories.
