it's a good news? lg6200 can flash lg spectrum (vs920) boot/recovery image ,because same hardware configuration, and into lg home success, sensor is ok , but has some problems: wifi is fail, telephone quality is bad, communication with hands-free each other can't hear voice, usb storage is invalid, these should be kernel driver problems. The above test information for your reference...
lg6200 already had ics engineer version.it means 3.0.8 kernel had.
only difference network(4G vs GSM/WCDMA/LTE).any good suggest?

There looks to be a few hardware differences according to this.
http://www.mobilesmspk.net/compare/lg-optimus-lte-lu6200/lg-spectrum-vs920
It looks like they use different LTE bands and the 6200 supports HSDPA+ while the Spectrum does not.

Difference in 3G/4G band support doesn't really matter as far as ROMs are concerned.
I don't know if these two phones are the same, but I wouldn't base my conclusion on that site you linked to. Sites like that are useful for basic comparisons but often have some of the specific details wrong.
Hi,
It seems that there was a previous inquiry by another poster in the international forums, but I felt that this question would be better posted here.
Would anyone happen to know if the i747 has hardware support for FM radio? If so, what app would be required to get it up and running?
Thanks in advance.
I think the current state is that there is hardware support in the Snapdragon SOC, but it's baked into the bluetooth module. Unlike the HTC One X (which uses the same SOC), Samsung chose to put in a Broadcom chip that controls WiFi and Bluetooth, disabling that functionality on the Snapdragon. Given that Linux can only support one bluetooth module at a time, the module on the SOC cannot be enabled. Last I checked people were looking for a solution. I'm not sure if that's still the case.
So with that being said what is needed to tap into the FM radio even if it is combined on. Chip with bt and wifi?

I have read that gnex has hardware that supports Bluetooth 4.0, is there a rom or kernel that has enabled it to work or is it even possible?
Thanks in advance

I'm sorry man but i think it's impossible according to the samsung specs, it only has bluetooth 3

Thanks. The reason I ask is that I saw this on Wikipedia. It states that it is Bluetooth 4.0 hardware compatible. 2nd reason is I bought those Bluetooth speakers with Bluetooth 4 and apt-x support. I just want to maximize it to it's full potential.

Yes. The hardware is bluetooth 4.0 compatible but there's no software support yet. Star the issue to add your vote! ->

Wait wait wait, one moment, i don't understand. The hardware inside GNeX is bt4 but it has driver that doesn't support that but only bt3, is this what are you saying? It sound really strange to me, maybe that statement on wiki means that GNeX can use other hardware with bt4 even if it's bt3 but not at full power, am i wrong?

It'll be clearer if you check out the link in my previous post. Gnex contains a Samsung SWB-B42 BT 4.0 Dual Band Wlan FM Tx/Rx chip so the hardware is there. The thing is the driver that is currently installed on our gnex only has BT3 coded in. And even if the driver utilizes the phone's BT4.0 capabilities, Android in itself doesn't have native APIs to allow developers to take advantage of the new features.
Sorry if i didn't read the whole link but i was at work so, you can understand... Thank you for the very clear explanation, however it's really really strange this behaviour by google...
Will Google/Android ever get BT4/BLE working on the GNex? Or shall we move on to another device if we need/want it?
From what ive read the Nitro and the spectrum are nearly the same, id like to know if ts possible to run nitro roms on the spectrum? cdma isnt important to me i use the gsm capabilities of the spectrum but unfortunately there isnt much development
I heard the partitions are different, so no, it would most likely result in a brick.
Just arrived this Monster from US where is sold in excplusive from AT&T for the moment
New coloration choosed: Platinum Gray. A great dark gray color that gives a brilliant Metal effect
Here we have the most advanced LG product on the market ( more than G7 ) in a revisited V30 design without hated Notch.

i had 2 LGV30 H930 with me too and i have to say that this display is absolutely gorgeous and we have little characters by default here .
It seems we have more brightness OOTB on this Oled but maybe this is a software calibration.
No Banding problem at all until now.
Platinum Gray is the best color i had on all my LG Devices. Loving it
I just with they moved the headphone jack to the bottom if they're making a revised version.
Other than that, does it feel any different to a V30? Is there any reason to upgrage? Also, do you not live in the US? Isn't it carrier locked?

A lot of phones moved the HPJ to the bottom in the last years and I think it really makes sense imo. Especially on a phone like the V30 which is the ultimate audiophile phone.
I use mine all the time for listening to music and I wanna put the phone upside down in my pocket so when I take it out, my finger is already on the fingerprint reader and I can instantly use the phone. But if the HPJ is at the top, I can't to that because I don't want to stress the jack on the phones (it's one of the most common failure points on a headphone), so I have to put the phone bottom side down in my pocket. And then when I take it out I need to flip it in my hand or just take it out uncomfortably so it's already in the right orientation. But then I need to adjust my grip so I can get to the fingerprint reader.
It may seem like a really small thing, but sometimes on a long walk I can take the phone out tens of times and every time it's really uncomfortable. Also the other thing is more minor but if you plug some headphones with a thick and heavy cable, the weight distribution becomes top-heavy which also makes using the phone pretty annoying. Generally I don't see any advantage having the thing on top, but may be it's just me.

i live in ROME (Italy) and device has all every worldwide band that need in every country .
I've exported V35 from Kentucky where my friend lives and he had provided for me
You can pay in full on AT&T physical Store and they will provide you a permanent unlock code to unlocck network and all supported bands.
Generally i don't feel big changes in hand, it's the same product that V30 is. The "Core" changes are inside this Beast

me too. It's so comfrotable if you have a leather case where you put inside device and you are listening music or FM Radio .
Ohhh, big news : i' ve installed FM Radio apk provided here from OP :
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v30/themes/lg-fm-radio-app-download-verizon-v30-t3689294
and it works !!!!!! FM chip is enabled by default !
FM Radio apk provided from TMO V30 on the same thread instead ....it didn't works.
This could be the best LG phone ever made. And incomprehensibly they won't launch worldwide
BTW: any chance to have a system dump?

Usually LG is famous to take wrong decisions worldwide
it's too bad LG value sinks like a rock. This is a fantastic phone, but after buying the V30 upon release for $800, I think from now on I'll just scoop them up lightly used on ebay 6 months later for half price.
I also see the updated the selfie cam. Which is great. But apparently the camera app has less features (since it's exactly the same as the G7), and the wide angle cam is 107 degrees on the V35 and 120 degrees on the V30. Another downgrade imo.

Can you dump the vendor partition by any chance?
We might be able to make use of it for the V30 and get a better Treble experience than the current vendor partition that we have from the Trebelized LineageOS rom for the V30.

Problem would be: different drivers for camera and so on, also for the chipset (except they split it up again, like the firmware in the v30, which for example adreno is split up in adreno 520, 530 (whereas the higher ones contain just patches for the lower ones, so you can take the lower named ones for a sd821 device)
idk about vibrator or so though, which would be nice though (damn special vibrator hardware in the v30 making everything complicated lol)
i just don't understood if USB Type-C here is 2.0 or 3.1

Also SD845 isn't "stock" big.LITTLE anymore - it's further evolved DynamIQ, whatever that means, also cache handling and structure is different (common cache between cores/cluster)
quite a different beast, actually:
https://www.anandtech.com/show/12114/qualcomm-announces-snapdragon-845-soc
https://www.neowin.net/news/qualcomms-snapdragon-845-benchmarks-show-massive-gains
In theory it has outstanding performance gains 20-45% (?) but in benchmarks it's more close to 15-20%, still pretty awesome for a generation upgrade
So with a custom toolchain, custom optimization flags, custom ROM, etc. you mostly will be able to get more of the full potential out of that phone
I like how it catches up to Apple's SoC in a BIG way

I doubt they would downgrade it on the V35 to 2.0 as the V30 has atleast 3.1 Gen 1 (former known as 3.0).
Just that LG only ships a 2.0 cable with the V30 (atleast my H930 only had a 2.0 cable...), used a 3.0 cable, and transfer rate skyrocketet
Edit: @wolfgart could you tell me the model number for the V35? (or get a kdz?)
I think i could use some of its implementations on the V30 (e.g. the vibrator, could fix that it becomes dull after a while, if it still uses the same motor for it that is)

Oh ok. I thought that the v35 was the same exact thing as the v30 except for the SD845

Its basically a G7 inside a V30 case, with V30 display. Has the newer cams from the G7 too. Idk about other hardware components though (like i said, our special vibrator).
