Today IM+ announced that their IM+ app for Windows Phone is submitted to Windows Phone Marketplace for approval. So we can expect the app in 3-5 days. If you have a developer device, you can download the XAP file to test out the app before it get published in the marketplace
Enjoy!!

The XAP

Too bad it won't have support for Windows Live Messenger

I had to reinstall my cert, but this works great! Thanks for the preview!

Too much... hopefully 5 bucks, but I expect at least 10.
Hopefully they will have fixed the caching issue of profile pics of users in the contact list. It made the entire application very slow, especially when you go over 50 online users with offline users invisible.

$9.99 Apparently according to WPCentral. Why anyone would spend ten dollars on what should be free in the first place is beyond me. Messaging apps should never cost more than the app they mimic on the PC.
$12.50 on the Australian store.
You have got to be kidding me.

Of course not. But I haven't had Mango ever since I bought the device. So I didn't have a good WLM client. Besides Miyowa, which isn't bad after the last update, but still doesn't come close to WLM on WM 6.5. So I'm living without a decent WLM app since I bought the device and I can definitely wait the next few months until Mango will be released.

If you're happy to wait, that's all well and good for you personally. All I'm saying is that it's not an acceptable reason for Microsoft to block WLM apps, because we are definitely not going to be seeing Mango for a good while yet.
Unfortunately the Miyowa app is absolutely awful, so intentionally preventing us from gaining a decent alternative is a ridiculous move by MS.

I agree that Miyowa is not the best IM out there, but what makes it so aweful for you? And if your device is developer unlocked, there's still Li' Messenger for you to deploy and use.
The app was working good earlier today, but it has stopped connecting for me. Probably just temporary, but the toast notifications are still coming through and I can't get back into the app to turn them off lol
A very over priced app. Will never buy it on this price, rather download different messengers for yahoo, msn and others. If this was android it would have been free.
COmpetition hasnt started yet, you are losing your customers before even getting them. Please do something before some other intelligent developer takes this opportunity from you. Anyways great work! it is appreciated.
in attachement there is the full application
(not the promo version)

I find it awful because it crashes constantly, and does not support a feature as basic as multi-location sign ins, which is a dealbreaker for me.
I used to use Li'Messenger, but it doesn't seem to work anymore.

I had constant crashes too, when I used an SD card that was not supported on my HD7. After I replaced it, Miyowa worked like a charm. It's still not the most satisfying WLM app, I agree. But it's better than nothing.
Is it jsut my omnia 7 or does this happen with all phones, half of my apps dont work such as windows phone 7 news, my timetable and facebook?

What do you mean by don't work?
Has Facebook even gone Mango yet?
Yes, please elaborate more on don't work. Everything for me is working so much better especially Mango apps/games.
I wanted to give windows another try so I got another, after a week with this phone is boring! Marketplace sucks, limited apps, no smart dailing, can't disable SMS notifications, the list goes on and on. (Damn you android you've spoiled me!)
Over is the best designed phone I've own thus far. I've fell in love with Zune desktop, but the player on the phone is so so, needs equalizing for better sound. Maybe I'll be Lumia 920 a try.

I like L900. My second WP after HTC Trophy. I am just surprised to know that your music needs equalizer to sound better ? I never have any issues. Smart Dialing is there, you pin the person to the start screen for quick access. The Marketplace has good amount of apps ( and good apps ). Don't know if L920 will make your experience any better if you have so many complains about the platform.

I totally agree with you...
I got my Lumia 900 while my Galaxy Note was on warranty repairs and just to see what was the deal with Windows Phone 7.5 (after many years since I last used Windows Mobile Professional) and at first it was a nice experience after using Android, but after 30 minutes I consumed the whole OS and found it very boring and lacking.
Yes, I think Android got us really spoiled...
Right now I'm just waiting for WP 7.8 just to check it out (I know, I'm not expecting much either), but I know I will sell this baby really soon!
If at least we could root it and modify it like the Lumia 800, then I might keep it. But since the AT&T Lumia 900 modding scene is pretty much defunct, i don't expect things to change for the good, so Craigslist is the way to go.
Cheers!
Rayan

I have several years HTC Trophy (since released) [and iPhone]
And for a long time waiting for update 7.8 and the Hebrew language and some more.. (which is not a problem to add)
Only they (HTC, MS) want us to buy a new device! And it's not going to happen!!
I stayed with the iPhone without a choice..
Bummer with you MS and HTC...

u are right, but ms is the first smartphone brand that pretends his customers to being idiots if trust they actually put people first...
no more wp = no more free betatasting and marketing sampling for a big major
and yes it is so sad... i like the new lumias (620 is really good for my money) but i cannot trust ms anymore... and maybe my next smartphone would be an alcatel idol ;D
Clear that IOS boring! There is no argument about this
as znial said, The motto of MS "put people first"!!..Yeah right maybe behind...
I also considering Android OS although it mess, but customizable.
Got my HTC phone for "free" can't complaint. I like the interface, even though less selections of phones. I understand your frustration, but actually, you can use the download tool to upgrade your phone by yourself. I did so to two of my HTC WPs, both I got for "free"(traded in two Windows mobile HTC phones that I can't sell at the time for most $10 maybe?) But that's it, I don't see any further updates for the first gen phones. It's petty that one of the phone has a pretty good hardware, but went obsolete the time it get to the market. You sure are amazed of the dynamic of the "smart"phone market.

All I have left to do (and for others) is to throw the device in the drawer :crying: the spent money, wait for a nice developer and frustrated, To do some magic ..
Oh and one more thing: I will never buy again....^
call me silly, but you say you won't buy into WP/MS and HTC because they want you to buy a new device..
yet, in order to switch to iOS, Android, Blackberry, etc you have to buy a new device..
call me silly but why not just buy into WP if you prefer it over the competition?
though, I do admit, MS boned us "beta testers" with WP7.

This principle of frustration...
I think most of the WP7 users were frustrated by MS, especially the guys with later hardware like HTC Titan II, which is a nice phone. But OS wise, the WP system is nice. I may soon go and buy an Andoid, but if there's a choice, I'd rather stay with WP for known performance/problems. Just lazy to switch OS, which means a lot changes.

Glad you like your Titan Dragonide. Just a question for you- how do you find the 3g reception? I too have a Titan with the Dynamics rom, but if I use any type of case the reception is very poor. I always use a case with my phones, but I can't with the Titan. Do you use a case? How do you rate the reception on 3g? I have no probs with wi fi reception as some seem to have. Thanks.

No, I don't have problems with the 3g reception.
I would rate my reception 4/5 ... just like the image
I am using the 17.5006.08.27_17.08.50.06U radio software.
Guess it could all depend on the network. Thanks for your reply.
People should remember that HTC has the easiest policy (to be bypassed) for all the chef in this forum, lol.
Just look at how tight Nokia lock their sh!t and how little support others phone from others OEM get from this forum (WP devices)...
Take your time, do your homework, i was and still be HTC homeboy, even though i am making sh!tty app and develop it on the 920, lol.

Yes I'm done with HTC Windows Phones/ Windows Phones all together as well.
I just want to have a phone that my friends have, you know, have the apps everyone else can get... When I go to a movie theater and see an ad for an app, why is it never on Windows Phone... Why is my University's app not on Windows Phone.. Dishnetwork???
It's good that Nokia is at least trying to fix this, HTC just doesn't care.
Now iPhone or Android is the question. Sorry MSFT. Oh by the way you also f'd up Windows Live Messenger with that Skype merger crap.

So I didn't see it anywhere on here, but I read an article on my BlinkFeed the other day about Microsoft trying to get HTC to let users pick between android and WP8 or dual booting them on the One. What do you guys think? Not gonna happen? Really cool or really dumb?

Not going to happen on the one and its a stupid idea. 1) I can make my phone look like wp8 on android, cant do the opposite. 2) wp8 is inferior to android for many reasons, including theming limitations.

I like WP8, but would never use it everyday because of one thing... App ecosystem. Apple and Android have all the apps I use on a daily basis. WP isn't even close. So, until/if they can get that whole thing going, no thanks!
Also, yeah, as far as I know, the customization is non existent on WP. I'll stay with a jailbroken iPhone and my soon to be s-off'd One.

Uggggly. Why would anyone want to run W8... but that is just my opinion. It seems that Micro$oft has approached HTC about the possibility of running W8 on their Android phones. Lets hope that HTC, even in their cash strapped state, does not fall into the same temptation that Nokia did.

You won't get good comparisons about wp8 on here. They hate it as much as the iPhone. I ran the hd7 for about a year and really enjoyed it. It was nice to just use a phone without trying to change every design element just because I could. And zone with zone pass was a much nicer program to deal with than iTunes. You could drag media to your phone via your computer and it would transfer automatically when the phone was idle. I gave it up because it was late to the lte game. At this point I'm so far in with the Android ecosystem it would be tough to switch though the Nokia 1020 is sweet.

I started on WinMo 6.5 with the Dash, Dash 3G and Touch Pro 2 and was a fan. At the time, it was the only choice that included wireless sync (contacts, calendars without plugging in! whoa!) and tethering iirc.
I tried iOS briefly on iPod touches and hated it so got on the Android bandwagon early on. I like Android but it really only works for me if I am rooted and I can heavily customize the device and running something like CM or AOKP. Or at least heavily deSensed/deTouchWiz-ed. A year ago, I tried an HTC 8x and I was surprised that I preferred it to Android. Now, I am heading back to Android because the hardware is so much nicer on something like the HTC One. Heck, even the Samsung Galaxy S4 made me jealous (after I rooted it, lowered the DPI setting and had Xposed clean up the mess of a UI it ships with).
I would love it if my HTC One allowed me to run either Android or WP8 in a dual boot fashion. Knowing me, I'd switch back and forth, probably using WP8 while travelling because it seems to have better power management and Android when I need seemingly basic stuff that WP8 still doesn't support (high speed audio playback for example!!!). I doubt that it'll happen.
If HTC does make more WP devices it'll be because MS is making it a no-lose proposition (they can use the same basic devices and MS pays them a bunch to create variants and pays for the marketing of those variants) and without dual boot support which would just be too much of a nightmare to support officially.
Technically, I am sure it's feasible to do this, even with dual boot (just look at what the HD2 has been made to do -- a WinMo 6.5 device that runs Android, even 4.3, WP7/7.5 and with dual boot support) but it'd be bonkers to support unless they end up with a virtualized setup (probably with WP playing host to Android given MS's expertise with running hypervisors, see e.g. XBox One's virtualization features. Then again, why would MS build that?!).
I'd pay good money to get the flexibility to run either OS on something like the One. WP is a more refined, fluid experience than Android. But it just isn't as feature rich. I'd like the option of running either.
