Where are all the roms were suppose to have??

Everyone said once we had source for froyo we would have all these amazing roms and kernels. So where are they at? We have 4 custom roms which only 2 are fully functional and 1 oc kernel.I'm only counting the ones that have eb13 files. Its been a week how much longer do they need?

TO THE OP and austin420: Stop *****ing about where's the roms and kernel's for EB13, IF YOU WANT A NEW ROM LEARN TO MAKE ONE! The people who Develop these roms take time out of THEIR LIVES to create a rom or kernel to share with the world so that others like YOU TWO can have them. XDA is about development not free loaders complaining about lack of roms, I personally have not attempted to create a rom yet because I am still learning the android system, but unlike you to I am VERY GRATEFUL for every single rom that is on this site, as well as all the kernels for every phone. You have no right to complain if you do not contribute, so either develop something, be a tester, or STFU and deal with what you have!

I feel sorry for the op that ask a question in a Q& A forum where it belongs. And these Dev pole jockers AKA d*** riders come in and flame the man. He probably ask the the questions because these same pole jockers, are the ones that put a date on when the Devs would have a rom out and not the Devs themselves. If anything in the future Devs need to check folks that say false info like "don't wait for OTA, Our devs will have a custom Rom up in a couple of days if not hours" ~The pole jockers. second off...
You have a few ways to get proprietary drivers to work with your device
1 from the manufacture (they are in the stock firmwares)
2 From another device of the same board type that has the Firmware you want (eg ics).
3 Samsung releases there driver code for there proprietary drivers (not going to happen)
4 reverse engineer them though machine code disassemble.
your best bet if u want ics before they release ics then use the samsung vendor proprietary drivers for this device...
The rest of the drivers will be compiled from source with values set for this device... (theirs a reason you have source code)..

Ill throw 25.00 in once were about 100 away..

I still own the sgs4g. The wife uses it. Stock froyo at that. Had it since before cwm was ready for it so I know the quality of your work. Unfortunately there are some serious trolls and assholes in this community. Come with a thick skin is all I can say. When I get home ill donate something. Guess that makes me retarded huh?

You know what, I'm really getting tired of people ****ting up these threads with their troll comments. We all know the lack of development for this phone is largely due to the attitudes of some of the people on the board.
The bottom line is - These developers are putting a lot of time and effort into giving you plenty of options on your phone and you aren't paying a nickel. If you don't want to donate, no one is judging you. But the least you can do is keep your mouth shut and allow the people who would like to see further development and a better atmosphere in this forum and on this phone try to do so.
I've administrated forum before. People that troll like they do here were banned and the forums as a whole were a better place to be. There was a much more positive atmosphere, it was FAR more constructive, and everyone contributed in any way they could. If you couldn't, you kept your nose out of it. This place needs to be regulated a little more diligently. No one wants their opinions stifled, but when you're being an asshole for the sake of being an asshole; you need to be removed from the board.
M&S, and others, thank you for all the hard work you've put into this phone so far. Please realize most people like myself that generally keep their mouth shut truly do appreciate the efforts put forth. Please don't allow the trolls to discourage you or your efforts.

Ive donated to eugene n tdj. I just wanna chime in. That wen raver was blind deving. His rom was solid for not even having the device. But we need devs to contually dev. Tdj has n much props to him. But no disrespect to whitehawkws n team kang n also eugene. But theyll dev one rom then sorta work on other devices. I wud love to see raver here but we need some assurance that he'll ck his threads once in a while and respond to users n update. Im not complaining just have seen us donate to 4 diff devs and to not have continuing help when asked in their threads. Thats my 2 cents.

I'm getting sick and tired of people disrespecting our developers and themers we have in our community. If you don't like what they do or how they do it, then sell your device and keep it moving. This is not their job, it isn't their means of income, so they aren't obligated to keep you posted on updates or follow your request. If you donate to them understand that it's a donation and not payment for services. We should be grateful for them and the things that they do for our devices. Your 2 cents are not needed in their threads, so leave them be if you don't like what they do. If you do have some advice for them, make sure you don't come off being a **** about it. We need to more respectable towards these people who take time out of their lives to do what they enjoy to and they are kind enough to share it with us. I've administrated/moderated forums in the past and any forum is only as good as the moderation it has. There will always be trolls posting garbage all over the place. That's the nature of the internet; but the level of moderation will determine whether the forum is a constructive place to be with a positive atmosphere our a steaming ****pile.
No one wants their opinions or ideas censored or stifled. That's not the point of moderation. But we need to get rid of the **** posts and the people who post them.
When you have a group of people posting for the sole purpose of pissing others off to a point that developers are leaving, someone needs to step in.

Well, I think the guy is KillaHurtz. There is many evidence, but saying it would make me sound like a stalker . If I do get banned like he says I will, keep in mind that Thomas Montano a.k.a killahurtz is the reason you will not see wp7, FrozenGB, and possibly AOSP ics. Sorry android community. I'm pretty sure he left because 1: he was burnt out 2: he was sick of the entitleist (yeah pretty sure I made up a word) children running around in this forum not reading before they post and thinking they are owed the world. For all those children please read my sig. TDJ was a great Dec that, like others, got driven out by all the kids whose mom bought them a cool new phone and decided to do things with it they probably never should have without some basic knowledge of Linux or android for that matter and expect everyone else to hold their hand through it when they screw it up or think they did simply because they don't really know what's going on in their phone in the first place.

Actually I think he left because of some inter-dev relations behind the scene. He left a pretty lengthy explanation as to why he's done. I didnt quite start this thread for this discussion though. So if a mod feels up to it, please close and delete this thread.

I'm still using his last rom release. The most smooth and battery efficient rom I have used on the SGSII. I work 12 hour shifts and use my phone heavily. Unplug it at 4a.m. and when I go to plug it back in at 9:00p.m I still normally have at least 20% battery left.

The more you become involved with xda, the more you wish you never did. At least for me anyways. There is no consistency here. The things I see I can't stand to bare anymore. Xda handing out RD status to people that don't deserve it or even understand wtf they're doing. Its all just nonsense. Everything I do from here on out will be strictly for myself. I am all set with this glorified children's playground. Android is supposed to be a community not a competition. A lot of these so called "devs" feel like they need to prove something to the world. This s**t ain't dungeons and dragons, its code hacking with expensive devices. And people wonder why manufactures won't warranty rooted devices...

Unfortunate for me something messed my sd card up and now i domt have a copy of his rom and kernal. I have been on jugs was planning on trying derek latest. Warfare wasy first flash on my gs2. i understand im hoping he will end up like eugene come in drop something wait a while and drop something else. Seem like less is more

i COMPLETELY agree.. I've been around XDA for years, and I've seen people, moderators, and devs come an go. The rom that thederekjay has skillfully made and optimized for our precious SGS2s is a complete ROM. Really, how can there be any more development on something that can't be made better?
I'll tell you folks. Whenever or wherever Mr. thederekjay shows up.. I'll respectfully consider anything he places his hands on is a work of art.
I hope when ICS drops, i'll be the first one in line for what he has to offer, whether it's on XDA or anywhere else.
I hope the best for you thederekjay.

He does good work. Superwipe is a part of making ICS flashes not be buggy. Look at the instructions.

Anyone else see this?

Oh yea lol I haven't flashed anything that hasn't been deemed official for fear of messing up my device for this same reason. I suggest you all do the same or be prepared for the worst.

Agreed, I always thought his posts were so similar but avoided passing judgment without knowing, but that screenshot proves it. It wouldn't be so bad if he would just own up to it instead of lying.

No one here wants him to quit developing.. But we want him test his roms himself and only build them if he owns the device.. And I'm sure the Devs here would appreciate it if he wouldn't pull things out of their roms and use it without permission

Speak for yourself. I'd love it if our dev section didn't have any garbage that bricks peoples phones. This guy's been on a roll for a while. Honestly I'd love it if he'd stop dev'ing it'd save people a lot of time.

+ a googleplex, this guy wants recognition without putting in work or recognizing anybody else's. He needs to stop pestering us and go get some psychological help.

So anyone know what happened to his "illusuon" ROM post? I was waiting for a mod but went to bed and when I woke up it was gone. I'm guessing he deleted it to avoid the ban hammer that was coming.

I was looking for it too. I think it should have been up so everybody can see it. It was a.nicr entertainmemt for a chance lol Lets just hope that he doesnt come back with another name.
