I am planning to move back to CM7 Stable and I would like to know what the best mod to install because there are many out there.
Thanks
By far Achep's ICS Layouts. I use it and it is awesome. But there are a lot of other mods like transparent status bar and the center clock mod. Zdunex25 also has ICS layouts, though I haven't tried his.
EDIT: It is best with AC's ICS theme, IMO it beats most other ICS themes, literally every apk is themed.
infinity play kernal was a good mod for me. increased mobile data connectivity, i noticed HSDPA was connecting in places i didnt get before.
also new flashing new radio to get gps.
And custom MTD partitions. I got 100Mb extra internal storage space from the system that it wasnt using.
Simple things, but useful.
For mtd what would be the best settings. For cm 7.2

I think 145 10 will be fine. (145 for system and 10 for cache).

SuperNova Extreme By Droidzone
Well I have tried SuperNova Extreme By Droid Zone.
However The only problem I am experiencing right now is that My Phone just hangs up. And I have to pull the batteries out. Tried several ROMs such as Pyramid 007
SuperNova Extreme Gingerburst etc but the Phone just hangs and I have to pull the battery out sometimes 10 - 20 time a day and that's why I switched back to CM7.1.
Hey anderl78 what about your ROM do you think such problems exist.

I haven't seen such problem till now. Sounds like a undervolt or overheating issue. You can try it and we will see what we can do.

I used alex-v froyo rom for some while and very happy with it.
It's very close to the original htc stock rom, but I had about 100 apps installed.
Now changing to alex-v's gingerbread rom...
Also very close to the original htc stock rom..but promises ENDLESS memory.
;-)
I run the runny AIO 5.0.3 nu sebastiaan15. If you are s -off and have a 1gb ext4 partition on your sd choose the AP2SDX. I have around 700 MB left for my apps

I am trying your rom for a day. It's great! really, great job man!
Have given Runnymede another try (four days), but to me it still lags a bit too much.
Good suggestions.
Although I want one that has a gingerbread quick settings and gingerbread power and data dashboard apps (I've tried apps from the market but they're nothing near the same :-() are there any like that? Or a way of adding those to a stock-ish rom without much interference? I'm using data++ because of the speed it gives over data2ext etc.

Try widgetsoid. I have configured it to my liking and I find it much better than quicksettings. ;-)
If you insist on gingerbread, try the RevolutioN rom in my signature. IMHO these two roms are the very best for our desire.

wma support?
Can you add .wma support in the music player?
Thanks for an awesome rom btw, i have been waiting for a sense 4.0 rom
Is there any link for the kernel by itself or is it only available as part of the installer package? And does it include the battery fix and calibration fix? Thx for the great progress, looking forward to a stable release.

Does Wi-Fi work now? Its something like this in the changelog, but wifi is not under "Not working" ?!
Will you be bringing 720p recording to this rom?
I'd vote for the Google apps on /system/app to be moved to /data/app as once they update they'll go there and just use space in /system. Also, I'd vote to remove the bulky Laputa and car padding but each to his own

Hey, v3 does install via recovery with fastsy hboot but gets stuch on one x animation screen, after lots of battery pulls didnt help, i know you tested it but im not sure how far ya went with install....
In my opinion its better now to wait for an official update from shaky himself. And stop downloading and installing the previous releases. I know that he knows what he is doing !

Is this gonna be made for the htc desire cdma too? Thanks
Suggestion on building the rom
I don't think it a good idea to support all kinds of HBoots at such an early stage of building the ROM--they only increase the trouble in testing for now.
My personal suggestion is to set down to FATSYS, or plus Stock at most.
When the ROM gets stable, more HBs could then be added for wider support...
Perhaps i'm just too urge to see your fantastic works...

Is their no more pinch-to-zoom effect on homescreens?
Sense 4.0 have remove the permanently rotation (so we can from middle screen only 2 turns left/right)
But have Sense 4.0 miss the home screen overview after "pinch-to-zoom" too?
Thanks for your rom, awesome work ! Works fine on my father's desire
Maybe the flac support will be Nice, I've many lossless files.

I personaly agree with you. I think it's better to get a working ROM from Shaky on one or maybe two HBs at the most, because it's a lot easier to change your HBoot than developing an entire ROM for each individual HB at the same time.

This is because we are using Sense 4 Lite, which is the version on the One V. Sense 4 Lite only has 5 homescreens, and does not have leap view. Sense 4.0 does have leap view and have up to 7 homescreens which you can remove and add. Also, HTC removed the rotation as its a gimmick to them in Sense 4

OK HTC remove that options to get a better performance, i find it is ok when its help to increase the performance.
Do Sense 4.0 and/or Sense 4.0Lite have HomeScreen Roatation (Landscape Mode)?

It's present in the code. But its disable by HTC. I believe the only way to access it is to plug it into a HDMI tv and use HTC MediaLink HD.

Hi guys
I'm wondering if there's a posibility of changing htc one x's recent apps' style to ICS recent apps' style? because the Ics's is more practically and doesn't drain the battery.
another thing is , do you know how to make the sense allow me to add more than seven panels or homescreens? because I need to put a lotta widgets there and 7 isn't enough for me and I don't wanna use other launchers because if I did I lose sense widgets.
thanks

I think it's custom the rom name is:
Leedroid
sorry I'm not into developing that much can you tell me what does stock mean?
please help .
I have the same question for a different ROM, this what I posted on another more general Revolution HD thread,.
"I'm running Android Revolution HD 7.0.0 with franco r10 kernel and have 'no-sense'd it using ROM cleaner.
Is there a way to change the look and feel of the recent apps UI to be like the stock ICS one that you get on the cm9 ROMs? That is, a vertical scrolling 2D list rather than the 3D card shuffling you get by default on the One X.
Searching the forums here and the rest of the net I think I've got as far as working out it's in SystemUI.apk, but I've no idea if that is interchangeable between ROMs; I doubt it is.
I realise this is a very minor annoyance, but any help would be greatly appreciated!"

Hey! someone should know it guys, how can we do it?
As in the topic. Maybe MIUI 2.10.12? Maybe some other? Which do you recommend?
I've tried almost every non-sense rom, and my two favorite is RobotoMOD or MIUI v4 2.8.10, because they are the fastest/smoothest.
CM9, CM10, Paranoid Android 2.54, Speed Droid would be good too, they were working fine, but they were laggy compared to Robotomod or MIUI.
Robotomod could be better too, for example if Int2Ext4+ or anything else (beside Link2SD) would work.
@up
I used MIUI, and now I'm using CM9 and I don't see that MIUI stood out as fast.
I've used MIUI for a month straight and no lags except the known bugs. I am currently using cm9 because of hq videos.
Go for MIUI coz of the interface and the speed.

i really dig MIUI the snapseries one though. i'm using paranoid android right now though, and i love it. i think its all up to your personal taste.

Miui for me
tbh i used all three and i LOVE THEM ALL, i would stay on miui but its out of date and the themes dont apply right sometimes. i just stick with cm9 for speed and stability and a uniform look. as far as lag try using some of the memory tweaks and v6 then change your launcher
Hey all. Just wondering which is the most customiseable [if thats a word] rom. I have a one x and am using a venom rom and love the fact that its easy to customise everything. Which rom or roms are like that for the desire? Thank you kindly one and all.
Define customisable
Sent from my Nexus 10 using XDA Premium HD app
I can change how my phone looks. Like all the icons, themes and loads of other superficial things. I guess you can do that with all roms but with the venom Rom its all grouped together in one place, so you can tweak it all easily.
You can not-so-easily customise a rom by changing framework things, or by changing the launcher.
Many roms have the option to install custom icon sets, like mildwild roms.
It's just a matter of trying roms and finding the one you like.
Mildwire was the next one I was gonna try funnily enough, tis downloaded and ready 2 flash. Thank you kindly.
I used Mildwild for months, working good and roms based on cyanogenmod seem quite "customizable"
