Old phone activated by itself? - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

crazy. i had my Tbolt and Gnex both on this morning. then all of a sudden someone sent me a text and my Tbolt received he message. Tbolt sim card is supposed to be deactivated. Problem is I cant make outgoing calls on the Nexus. And now my friend called me and my Tbolt took the incoming call and not my Nex. So weird. So I wyped system, data, and cache. I reinstalled ROM with no luck. ????????

Has nothing to do with your ROM... just call Verizon and clear it up.

I can't call. Lol

Why? Thats the way to solve it. Or go online to your VZW account and see if you can re-activate the proper phone.

[Q]Delayed SMS problems?

Is anybody else having issues with other people getting delayed texts sent from galaxy s ii?
I am sending to att iPhone and they have been getting delayed texts. Never had issue with HTC sensation so I am assuming this is a galaxy s ii issue.
Can Anyone confirm this?

Got the phone today and some text didnt go threw...could be casue its a new phone, could be a network thing, who knows
I have no problems but most of these will be fixed when rooted, I think

To confirm again, my gf got some text from me 4 hours late...gonna reboot my phone to see if that helps
Sent from my SGH-T989 using XDA App
Mine are not delayed... Sent to my roommate's iPhone 4 when he was sitting next to me on the couch. I love Swype's censoring when you use speech to text. I think my message went something like:
"Why do you keep f****** keep censoring my *** d*** texts you piece of s*** keyboard!!"
That was the end of my childish exploits, but hey, he wanted to see the feature
if you got your sim card upgrade they there might be some delay for awhile. should be fine after 30min-1hr.

Is it on wifi this whole time?
I tried both. Wifi and 4g. Same result. My gf is on att and had been getting them delayed. If I swap my sum Sim to sensation, the problem is gone so it has to be gsii and how it sends SMS.

I am not experiencing delay and i text all the time.

I think I have the same thing happening. It's hit or miss though not every message is delayed. Btw the gf is also on att.
Same thing happening here. Most texts go through fine, but some have been delayed, or didn't ever show up. I'm going to call T-Mobile tomorrow...
I am using my old Sim from Sensation. Are you guys using the old Sims or new Sim that came with galaxy ii. Just curious If that might be a issue.

Oh ok. I just went to Tmobile and
got the new Sim which is required for sgii. Let's see if this resolves the problem. Will keep you guys updated.

any updates? Co-worker just got a GS2 and is having a delay on incoming texts, not so much with outgoing. We're both on tmo, i sent him 3 texts about 15 minutes apart took him around 3 hours for the first one and never got the other 2 before we left work, if he sends me one comes through immediately.
that's a service provider network problem, not a PHONE problem
if i sent to people on the same network, they receive it instantly
if i sent to people on a different network, they get it in a second or two

Any resolution to this issue?
For me the problem resolved itself, but I ended up getting a new SIM card from T-Mobile anyway, just to be on the safe side. It doesn't happen to me anymore.

Text messages aren't going through

Been getting message not sent since last night any ideas why?

Did you by any chance messed with the *#*#4636#*#* menu?
SMSC number is probably changed. Search for it on the forum here. Lots of topics about it.

Make sure your bill is paid? My parents forget to every couple months and I realize partly through the day that my texting/calling/data is dead.

As was mentioned earlier, if you messed with the *#*#INFO#*#* menu, you probably cleared your SMSC number. Fix it by following this.
it was error 16 couldn't place calls either but i made a call stayed on the line and it switched me to a rep then she did something turned off my phone and updated the profile now its working again

Call and text forwarding to tablet?

I would like an app that allows calls and texts to be forwarded to my tablet when I'm at home. I would like to be able to send and receive texts and receive incoming and make outgoing calls. I know that tablet talk supports the texting, but what about the phone calls? I would like to receive them at my verizon number, and it would be nice if both my tablet and phone ring when a call is being received.
Like I said, I would only like this to work at home when both phones are on the same wifi network.
EXIT: If there is no simple way to do the call forwarding, or if that would not work well, it would be great if someone could recommend an app to me which notifys me when my phone misses a call.

I recently found the app tablet talk and it is awesome.
Works with wifi in your home or even through blue tooth and also does call forwarding. I just use it as a caller I'd to see if it's worth getting up to pick up my phone even.
Exactly what I wanted and I don't even carry my phone around in the house anymore.

tablet talk costs?
When I tried to sync sms on my Galaxy Nexus with the Nexus 7 via Tablet Talk, it locks up at 8 percent. I've tried removing cache, uninstalling then reinstalling, using Bluetooth AND WiFi. It always fails at 8 percent. Wtf?
They synced instantly for me. 4.1 Galaxy S and 4.1 Nexus 7.

I wonder is the different os versions is an issue. One wouldnt think so with so few devices with JB on em. I'm spoiled by aokp on my GN, so I've been reluctant to flash JB as a daily driver. Everything else works great, controlling the dialing of the phone, caller id, any new SMS received too. Its only when I try and "sync all SMS from phone" and it fails at 8 percent every time. I've emailed the developer.
I just got a response from the developer. They emailed me a copy of the app, labeled "TabletTalk143_synctest", and it worked beautifully over WiFi and Bluetooth. Extremely rapid response!

Agreed. I don't mind paying for a good app either. It helps out against the stigma that android users don't pay for apps.

[Q] Willing to pay $$ for solution

Hello everyone, Im new to this site and phone. My previous device was the Nexus S 4G and i must say my e4gt is a huge improvement. My only issue that i have is the inability while on a conference call or a merged call to be able to hang up on either callers without ending both calls. Does anyone have a solution to this? Is there any type of rom or software i can download that will give me the ability to choose which caller to disconnect? Im willing to pay $100.00 sent to your paypal account for this solution. Thanks to all!
Skype its what i use for confrence calls here.

Rather than sending money. Upgrade ur device to quadcore. And use tango. Tango video calls gives u more freedom. Guess the good news its a freeware. For optimum usage you have to pay tango. Chaos

Have the individual of whom you're wanting to hang up on hang up first. Then you can continue the call with the other individual.

[Q] Incoming and Outgoing Calls

Hi all. My girlfriend has the T989 on T-Mobile. Bone stock with 4.04 kernel 3.0.8 unrooted and whatnot. She loves the phone and doesn't want me tussling with it. Here's the problem. Incoming and outgoing calls on both cellular and wifi calling don't work occasionally. All you'll hear on both ends is silence. You know that the received caller picked up because the talk time counter goes until hang up. I think it may be something wrong with the OS installation on the production line. Should I contact Samsung or trying toying with it myself? Thank you for the time if you read this.

The first 2 things I would try:
1. Factory Reset
2. New SIM card
Sent from my SGH-T999 using Tapatalk 2
Hmm... Ill have to check out what's available for radio firmware later as I'm using my phone haha. As for the factory reset and sim card, doesn't work. Data is more stable with the new sim card though. Ill let you guys know what happens with flashing radio firmware. Thank you for the suggestions thus far.
