CEC button?
What is that?
Did you check your tv's 'BRAVIA Sync' or 'BRAVIA Link' if it has that setting? I don't know which one of those terms is currently using by Sony as I don't have a BRAVIA.
I'm using a Panasonic one. Viera Link is present and I can control my phone using the remote of my television.

You mean you can control your Arc via remote? I thought that only Sony tv's can do that. I must try it on my LG.

i think its more to do with the usb-otg cable we got.
i have a original xoom usb-otg (camera connection kit) which does not work with my GNexus as well.
after some search on the forums, which makes sense, its more of a cable issue.
as the Gnexus has different modes to change into, with extra MHL, usb-host, charging, dock, etc etc,
"the connection between pin 4 and 5 determine, what kind of connection it is: charging, sync, usb otg, mhl, trigger download mode... and indeed, that is done by putting in different resistor strengths."
i just ordered another plain usb-otg from ebay, and finger crossed, this might work.

Hi, I tried using my Sony Ericsson earphones which came with my Xperia Arc but there were audio problems. Tried using another SE earphone and same problem.
Does the HOX only work with the supplied ones?
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk
Nope, i use Sony and JVC Headphones.
Sent from the world's most beautiful and fastest phone, the HTC One X. Nuff Said.
works fine with my 2 sennheiser pairs.. including the button controls
The issue is most likely the mic on the SE hands-free headphones.
Try holding on the function button. See if it works.

I concur. With headsets that have a mic, there are four sections in the plug. On most devices the tip is ground and the first ring is mic, but on some phones, like Apple, the two are reversed. Found this out the hard way with my original Galaxy A i9000 phone. I had to rewrite the plug too get it to work with my favorite headset.
My Etymotics HF3s work fine with the one x.

I like the SE one cos it's in-ear. Anyone knows how to switch the polarity?

Sennheiser MM70i, they're in-ear, great quality and have an inline microphone and a answer/pause/play button. Unfortunately the volume keys don't work, but aside from that they are amazing.
Does anybody know, if there are any cheap bluetooth controllers (read: non-Sony) working with Sixaxis Controller app or something simmillar?
I've found these two on DealExtreme, so I'd like to buy one of them. Does anyone have experience with one of these products? Which one will work?

Rechargeable DualShock Bluetooth Wireless SIXAXIS Controller for PS3 (Black + Red)
I think only official sixaxis are compatible
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
But these controllers are natively compatible with PS3, why not with Sixaxis app?
Is there any alternative app for these controllers? I don't want to buy expensive PS3 controller when I don't have PS3... I bought HTC One X instead of Xbox

Phone joy will work with Android phones and tablets without root or unlocking, you will run into some annoying compatibility issues with some games, but most of the time there's 3rd party apps to make it work, check out game keyboard and bluezime, they do work with the phone joy controller and even has settings to get it working with onlive (if you use that, if you don't, it is worth checking out)
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Ok, I'll check it out... I can google for some apps, I just want to know if it's worth buying
BTW I'm not playing on OnLive because of my slow connection at home

Their website has a fair amount of info on it, have a look at the setup guides, you'll be able to get a bit of a feel for how it works
I'll just warn you, it doesn't have the same premium feel /build quality as the genuine ps3 controller, however that's not to say it's fragile
What we really need is the game developers to add in configurable controls so it's simple and easy to setup. It's only a matter of time before that happens
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Thanks for info
I'm aware that the quality isn't as good as genuine Sony controller, I'm just asking about compatibility.

One of the few things that I am a bit disappointed about with my Acro S is the Connected Devices system app. It seems that you can only stream to the phone from a DLNA server, or from the phone to a DLNA client. On my old Motorola you could choose content on a DLNA server and direct it to stream to a different DLNA client, eg from my Mac running Twonky to my Sony TV, all controlled from my phone.
I imagine there must be apps out there that will do this. I'd be interested in any recommendations folks might have for a specific app, and reasons for those recommendations.
TIA

Step 1
Purchase and download the app. Only $2.00 ish.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...axiscontroller
Step 2
Once you know your device is compatible you will need to download a program for your Windows PC called the Sixaxis Pairing Tool to pair your device properly with the controller. Once it has installed you should see a window that has a line which says “Current Master: Searching”.
Step 3
Now you have to connect your PS3 controller to your PC through the USB cable. Then the window on your PC should show a code in this format “xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx”. This is the Bluetooth address of the controller.
Step 4
You then need to find the Bluetooth address of your Android device. This can be find within the “Sixaxis Controller” app. At the bottom you should see “Local Bluetooth Address”. The address then has to be entered into the PC program. Once entered, click on “Update”.
Step 5
Disconnect the PS3 controller from the PC and then press the PS button, the button in the middle of the controller. If you carried out the procedure correctly the PS3 controller should now be paired with your Android device.
Step 6
Then tap on “Change Input Method” from within the app and select the controller.
Step 7
You will need to dowoad a file that has a map of your controller buttons found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2035695
Then place it in /sdcard/data/com.dancingpixelstudios.sixaxiscontroller/profiles
Step 8
Then open up sixaxis controller and when you see choose profile choose the downloaded map. Then youre all set. Enjoy!!
This also works with Nova 3 and NBA 2k13 you just have to make your controller mapping which is really easy. Ill do a tutorial if people want.
