Hi, I tried using my Sony Ericsson earphones which came with my Xperia Arc but there were audio problems. Tried using another SE earphone and same problem.
Does the HOX only work with the supplied ones?
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk
Nope, i use Sony and JVC Headphones.
Sent from the world's most beautiful and fastest phone, the HTC One X. Nuff Said.
works fine with my 2 sennheiser pairs.. including the button controls
The issue is most likely the mic on the SE hands-free headphones.
Try holding on the function button. See if it works.

I concur. With headsets that have a mic, there are four sections in the plug. On most devices the tip is ground and the first ring is mic, but on some phones, like Apple, the two are reversed. Found this out the hard way with my original Galaxy A i9000 phone. I had to rewrite the plug too get it to work with my favorite headset.
My Etymotics HF3s work fine with the one x.

Pressing on the button makes it work! But I can't be pressing it all the time just to listen to podcasts.....

Sony Ericsson has a bad habit of messing with hardware... by design it might have switched the polarity on the earphone jack so that it only supports the original device...

Sennheiser MM70i, they're in-ear, great quality and have an inline microphone and a answer/pause/play button. Unfortunately the volume keys don't work, but aside from that they are amazing.

I just bought these headphones thinking I would be able to use the controltalk ..but I guess I was wrong. I can answer the call and hear the other party but they cannot hear me. Any solutions or other headphones that will be compatible with my tbolt?... I'm running the synergy Rom by the way ...thanks

No offense but hopefully it sounds nothing like those fake gimmicky beats cans that are nothing but a brand name to drive sales.

I'll agree on cowon, Senns has some good stuffs but there's beyerdynamics, Audio Technica, Denon, Ultrasone, Grado and AKG to name just a few that are actual real cans with proper audio reproduction.
Rumor has it the vigor is going to have beats speaker installed?

Hii
I am using beats which are duplicate not even original and the bass is extremely high nd clear what i did is i flashed dsp manager of android made their 2 settings 1st i kept bass enhancements on nd level extreme nd 2nd i enabled the equalizer nd kept bass boost
Nd in the htc stock music player i kept sound enhancements on beats nd selected headphones beatsurbeats
Now sound is really fantastic even more more better than xperia s
So flash this zip? Will it work in conjunction with beats or seperately?

Does anybody know, if there are any cheap bluetooth controllers (read: non-Sony) working with Sixaxis Controller app or something simmillar?
I've found these two on DealExtreme, so I'd like to buy one of them. Does anyone have experience with one of these products? Which one will work?

Rechargeable DualShock Bluetooth Wireless SIXAXIS Controller for PS3 (Black + Red)
I think only official sixaxis are compatible

But these controllers are natively compatible with PS3, why not with Sixaxis app?
Is there any alternative app for these controllers? I don't want to buy expensive PS3 controller when I don't have PS3... I bought HTC One X instead of Xbox

Phone joy will work with Android phones and tablets without root or unlocking, you will run into some annoying compatibility issues with some games, but most of the time there's 3rd party apps to make it work, check out game keyboard and bluezime, they do work with the phone joy controller and even has settings to get it working with onlive (if you use that, if you don't, it is worth checking out)

Ok, I'll check it out... I can google for some apps, I just want to know if it's worth buying
BTW I'm not playing on OnLive because of my slow connection at home

Their website has a fair amount of info on it, have a look at the setup guides, you'll be able to get a bit of a feel for how it works
I'll just warn you, it doesn't have the same premium feel /build quality as the genuine ps3 controller, however that's not to say it's fragile
What we really need is the game developers to add in configurable controls so it's simple and easy to setup. It's only a matter of time before that happens
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Thanks for info
I'm aware that the quality isn't as good as genuine Sony controller, I'm just asking about compatibility.

Anyone know anyway to make headphone cables straight? It really bugs me when the cable gets in the way.
I read that adding heat will help but I'm not 100% convinced that it is good/ safe for the cable
Any thoughts?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda app-developers app
Hair Dryer Should try
You can lay the cable on a table with a book or paperweight on each end for a day or so.
What ever works. Let us know how it worked out for you.

Straight like how? Buy a headphone with a flat wire..its so tangle-free. :')
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
I can't advise buying headphones based on the cable being flat. Mild heat should be fine, such as a hair dryer, but laying it flat and putting weight on both ends is your best bet.
What headphones?

Bluetooth frequently isn't as high quality as normal headphones, though. Plus, it's one more thing to keep charged.
It true the quality is not their but it depends on how you are using it. myself I work in a warehouses and just play music for background noise. Charging a bluetooth can be a pain but high end ones will work anywhere from 8 to 12 hrs off one charge or some out there have headphones and mic that goes around the neck and you use aa batteries. They work for about 12 hrs. Hope this helps
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T989 using Tapatalk 2
Ahh, I used to run a high end home theater warehouse. Usually just run the cable under my shirt, tangle free. That's critical in a warehouse.
I did find this gem as a gift for an employee, though, who mounted it on his forklift.

Yeah, it's like putting a Chevy sticker on your Ford.
The Galaxy SIII doesn't offer Beats audio?
Wish I could help but the best suggestion so far is the sticker thing. AFAIK, nobody makes a "BeatsAudio" battery case or anything else for the Samsung line of phones. It's more of an HTC thing.
Hi all
there's an app on Google Play: link (works on rooted device) that install on Galaxy S3 beats driver.
I used it on my Galaxy s3 before last update and works perfectly. Besides I use Bose headsets
