Anyone know anyway to make headphone cables straight? It really bugs me when the cable gets in the way.
I read that adding heat will help but I'm not 100% convinced that it is good/ safe for the cable
Any thoughts?

Hair Dryer Should try
You can lay the cable on a table with a book or paperweight on each end for a day or so.
What ever works. Let us know how it worked out for you.

Straight like how? Buy a headphone with a flat wire..its so tangle-free. :')
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
I can't advise buying headphones based on the cable being flat. Mild heat should be fine, such as a hair dryer, but laying it flat and putting weight on both ends is your best bet.
What headphones?

Bluetooth frequently isn't as high quality as normal headphones, though. Plus, it's one more thing to keep charged.
It true the quality is not their but it depends on how you are using it. myself I work in a warehouses and just play music for background noise. Charging a bluetooth can be a pain but high end ones will work anywhere from 8 to 12 hrs off one charge or some out there have headphones and mic that goes around the neck and you use aa batteries. They work for about 12 hrs. Hope this helps

Ahh, I used to run a high end home theater warehouse. Usually just run the cable under my shirt, tangle free. That's critical in a warehouse.
I did find this gem as a gift for an employee, though, who mounted it on his forklift.

Are you going to upgrade internals or leaving it stock, I rebuild mine a few months ago, went with forged internals and its fully built to hold 600-700hp, only need the turbo and injectors.
Mazdaspeed3 are fun cars too, a year ago i saw one on fire, it burned almost full. :-<.

I'm going to leave it stock for now I have a spare block that I'm going to rebuild with a 2.3 stroker kit but for now I need to get the car running. I bent the valves on the head so I took that advantage to get another motor and tranny lol.

In my area my Note 2 reception was crap. Bought a used LGOG to see if it worked better. Hard to get use to smaller screen but love better reception. Now eyeing this new LG. Can't wait. This LG has changed my opinion on LG phones.

Man, LG is really trying to make a push for the high-range smartphone market. If they keep this up then maybe in a year or two people will stop assuming all their phones are just complete garbage. I just hope that a few years down the line phones will still be able to fit in our pockets :silly:.
Is our phone going to get official 5.0?

That phone looks sick...except for the weird volume control placement. But it might grow on you, who knows. I seem to upgrade my phone's every year, even though my contacts are 2yrs lol. But this is the first phone I've owned I haven't been anticipating upgrading because I'm so happy with it overall. So I doubt I get it, but the phone definitely looks pretty slick for sure.

The heating / over heating people notice isn't the phone itself...
What the heat or hotness people feel coming from the back of the phone near the l.e.d is actually where the contact points are for the WiFi...
So its not the battery or CPU over heating its the WiFi actually pulling an excessive amount of juice while trying to either connect to a poor router signal or a heavy download...
Sent from my LG-LS970 using Tapatalk 4
Interesting.... Is this a fact? Cause I run wifi all the time at my place on lifeless and there's no heat, but on cm or dirty unicorns it heats up. The same spot you mentioned.

Yes I will post pic of were the contacts are located and where they meet the back of the phone...

Interesting.....
I never wouldn't thought it were the Wi-Fi but now this actually makes sense. A couple of times lately I've noticed my phone burning up just doing routine downloads. I knew it wasn't anything taxing the CPU too much...

That's interesting. I've noticed that it heats up pretty nicely while I make my daily back ups for Stock and AOSP.

If you look at the CPU or battery temperature, it's usually hot when the back feels hot. All that depends on the thermal driver in kernel. I haven't played around with that a ton, but usually show-p1984's from bricked kernel for the N4 works well for me.
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda app-developers app
I turned off that thermal daemon monitor from a thread awhile back... figure it makes a good hand warmer. if he dies, he dies lol.

Do a search for "Tablet beanbag" on amazon or ebay, there are many to choose from.
You could even make your own by filling part of a leg from a nylon stocking, a large tube sock or even the arm from old sweat shirt with rice and tie the ends in a knot.
.
Here is an outstanding multi tablet stand.....

Hey jgaf I remember seeing that on TV now...... I may get one....Target stores and Walmart in the USA sell those, they come in many colors and they transform for multi-function. As local stores carry it you can go to the store and touch it rather than ordering it on line and paying all the S&H charges.
I got a Levo G2 floor stand tablet holder, it's perfect so far and completely adjustable to any height or angle

Are you guys worried about your note 4 having a gap? after hearing about the first phones over seas having a gap between the screen and the metal frame. don't know what to think of it, I wanna get the note on the 17th, but am afraid to pre order the note just because I don't want to open my brand new phone to a gap..
Nope.
Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I'm not worried at all about it. I've had at least one spot, in every phone I've owned, that had a gap in it somewhere. If this is what it takes to bond metal to glass, I'm all for it. It actually states the gap is there in the manual, so it's a design feature. Check out this video about the gap.
www.youtube.com/embed/r3mNJCNnARo
If the glass was right up against the metal, the slightest drop would cause the screen to spider crack. The plastic had a little absorption abilities but metal will transfer any vibration directly to the glass...so you should be happy it is there...it shows they were thinking.
Had a pair of note 2's in the family for a couple of years they've worked fine all this time. They both had a gap that you could barely fit a sticky note in. Not really a problem.
