What is truly worth the money? There are so many posts on batteries and people dont seem to be able to tell whats good and whats not...
Also what is a good place to get a 100% working DATA cable like the one that came with the phone. Mine stopped working.

I use the usb cable that came with my wife's LG Optimus - works great!
I didn't want to risk a no-name cheap extended battery off of eBay, so I ended up paying full price for my Sprint 2600maH and it's worked well. My brother grabbed a cheap one off Amazon and didn't have any problems with his though, but his doesn't last quite as long.
Thanx for replies I pmd you. Also where can I get a cable? mine is messed up!
You can get a cable almost any where that sell computers I have seen them at Staples Walmart almost any whre.

sprint store, amazon, ebay, radio shack. you get what you pay for. cheap is not better. get a good cable and you'll get better data rate, better charge, and a happier phone.

Completely untrue. Buy any cheap cable. You won't notice any difference. Gild plating, shielding, wrapping...it's all just good marketing.
Just find one on monoprice or ebay. If you spend more the cable may ladt longer but its not gonna make your transfers and charging faster.

Cheap can be great. http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=10303&cs_id=1030307&p_id=5458&seq=1&format=2
They have them in other lengths too. The 28/24AWG Cable w/ Ferrite Core ones are better than the thinner ones (28/28) they have though, particularly if you want a longer length. I found they sometimes had trouble charging at 1A (when paired with a 1A charger), but even they get the job done, if a little slower on the charging. The 28/24 ones work great -- I have a 15 footer.
So far the most reliable and reputable brand i came across on forums is Mugen Power brand, you can check their fan base on facebook yourself, and read some user comments there. Or ask questions.
http://www.facebook.com/MugenPowerBatteries
It is a pretty strong community for such a product as batteries, and apparently their customer support is very good, they exchange stuff if there are any problems etc. FYI: on facebook they also give out discount codes.
And i read some of their higher capacity extended batteries make phones last at least 3+ days with excesive use. The record i came across was 85 hours from 4800mAh battery with heavy use so i guess Mugen proves the price/quality tag alright!

hi everyone...
just wanna know is there any desktop charger for o2 xda exec?
If you have a look at the O2 micro site, they sell a decent desktop charger, probably quite expensive though, or of course, have a hunt on eBay.... personally I'd stick with O2.
Link to O2 micro site.... http://www.my-xda.com/xdaExecAcc.html
eBay (just example).... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CRADLE-O2-XDA...104937525QQcategoryZ56166QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Hope it helps.
Also, might interest you, I just ordered a simple battery charger off a guy on eBay, only for the battery so if you got spares you can charge them separately. The guy's called lifestyle0806, has been selling for over 2 years and has 96.6% positive. I was recommended him by a guy on this site. Should receive the item today, will let you know if it's any good if you're interested.

I am using this charger from lifestyle for the last 2 months. It is definately worth the money. Even the battery which comes with it is of good quality and does not have any of the problems some spare batteries seem to have.

I couldn't believe how cheap it was... I paid $18 for the battery AND charger with postage included!!! That's just crazy! Well worth it, I would say to anyone who travels a lot and has a spare few batteries they need charged up.

Is it an external charger like this one (which you have to plugin to normal mini-USB charger or computer USB port to get the power)?
Maybe I got a bad unit because it just won't charge the battery - battery is ok though =) However, on the back it reads "INPUT 5V = 2A", but normal USB chargers only output 5V and 1A... So a working unit should be fine with 1A?
I got pretty much the same unit with extended battery from the other guy on ebay.. digispeak ...
Battery seems to be of the decent quality, still testing how long it will last after few charging cycles..
However, I'm not quite as happy with desktop charger. It seems to cut off charging when battery reaches about 90%. Any clues and experiences?

Found this guys store after a lot of searching.
You get a retractable usb which you can use to charge your evo through a computer, or included AC wall charger, or included car charger!
The deal is phenomenal but the downside is its shipping from hk.
Also I can't comment on quality of build until I receive it (ships today)
Pics look good though so let's see!
Almost forgot. 12 month warranty.

Not bad, looks like a dealextreme open box item. Deals are great and all but I don't want to trust a $1 item to control the flow of electricity to my phone.
Let us know how it works out.
I didn't either, at first..
I'll let you in on a little secret, I think that whoever makes amzer's accessories makes these too.
Notice the similarity?
http://www.amzer.com/Amzer-2-in-1-U-S-Travel-Charger-Kit-P85522.htm
Exactly the same, except a blue LED instead of red..
Something to think about.
I'll keep everybody informed when it arrives =)
Just thought I'd add my .02, I ordered 2 sets of charging accessories for our 2 EVO's from a US seller on eBay. When they arrived the AC chargers would not charge the phones so you might want to be careful there's something about the charging requirements for the EVO that will not allow just any AC charger work with it. The car chargers seem to work fine, so far.

In that case I threaten to leave bad feedback, get a refund, and give it to someone else.
No harm done
Besides for 3.90something it's really not a big deal
Those things are fuggly
Those look really similar to these http://www.amazon.com/Premium-iPhon...?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1278911609&sr=8-18
I bought this, and they can't charge my phone when it's on... hell I'm not even sure while it's off. It can't charge my iPhone, or my evo.
I think it's the same product.
Just recieved the stuff today (monday)
I was pleasantly surprised.
Build quality is good but not great.
Charges phone quite well!
Using ac I got from approx 96% to full in about 7 minutes.
First thing I did was check the output compared tothe stock charger.
Both are 1A or 1000mA max.
Ill do further tests later.
For now though everything has worked as expected or better.
To me it was a bargain and a good purchase ymmv..
EDIT: While turned off it charged from 15% to full in 2hrs and 40min.
About the same as stock charger, i'd say.
Saw these on Overstock.com
Wall + Car Charger for Motorola Xoom
Says Shipping only costs you $2.95 in the lower 48 so total you're paying $9.44 not including any Tax I would assume. I paid ~$25 for just the car charger when I first got my Xoom.
Saw these, I already own them but looks like a great deal for 'em, even if it's just for the Car Charger!
I don't believe these are Xyboard or w/e it is compatible as I think that charges off Micro USB.
Have a good one all.
You can also get the original Motorola ones from Staples for 2.50 each. I got the car charger for 2.50 at my local Staples in Los Angeles, CA.

Can you, if you still have it, give us the Staples SKUs for each charger? Thanks.
(In any case this is a lucky find as I just broke the middle pin on my car charger today!)
I don't have the SKUs anymore, but the model # of the car charger is SJYN0597A. It was on clearance for $2.50 at the local Staples.

Guess I know where I'm going at lunch. Hopefully they have them here.
No luck at Staples in Cedar Rapids, IA. They didn't have any car chargers and all of their Xoom stuff was full price.
No luck at the few I'd tried in Silicon Valley, either. What zip are you in, "powerchilango"? I actually live in SoCal (and work in NoCal) and can try some stores when I get home.
No luck in Las Vegas either.
I'm beginning to think that this may have been a store only special in that posters area.
Id rather spend the 7 bucks and save the gas - having them ship is much easier.

OK, so my units (I bought two apiece) showed up yesterday. I'd expected cheap Chinese knockoff-quality units, but the worst part is the tips don't make a good connection to the charge port unless you wiggle it a little 'tll you find the right spot, and don't move them around after that.
They're OK for the price for an emergency backup, but don't expect to use them to replace an official Moto unit long-term.

SO true. I'll leave 'em in the other car and in my desk in case I REAAAAALY need to charge in an emergency (and expect to have to hold it all the time), but yeah, it's like they didn't even test 'em first.
I'm almost tempted to leave a review on o.co to warn other Xoomers.
I could have sworn I saw these were original OEM Motorola chargers. That's why I got them. Guess I was wrong. Beware everybody....

Great Price, here in Brazil original charger cost $60-$70 dollars.
Anyone knows a good deal on these items?
I was at the T-mobile store earlier and saw a very nice package including a spare battery, a usb cable, and a spare-charger but it runs for $49.99
Edit: Found one! $9 (aftermarket battery and charging holder). I have one like this for my G2 and it worked great!!

Actually I saw one and it’s being sold by Samsung for about $24? I think. But that’s too much for me. The aftermarket battery is very cheap but I don’t expect it to have embedded NFC chip on it lol.. I had the same brand for my old G2. It worked great for over a year with absolutely no issue.
check this one out, i am thinking of ordering it! seems like a great deal for $34!
(link would have been here but apparently i cant post link till after 8 posts, lovely)
2 x 2020mAh Batteries
Charger/Dock
extra USB cable
who doesnt need extra micro usb cables these days!
anyways go to Ebay and search for this item number

hey guys!
im looking for a recommendation for a portable charger, like me i assume some of you prefer the cheap and smart solution rather than the pricy and branded solution (we are, after all, android people, and not apple) so i wanted to avoid big expensive brands, i looked at limefuel but im not sure i want to spend 30USD on this. (and shipping to israel is another 25USD)
looking for something new, small and simple that i can spend 10$-20$ on, that is compact enough to fit in my side pockets (for 3/4 pants and such) but something i can rely on to extend my battery life.
TL;DR
looking for a portable charger you've used and can recommend, under 20$
any recommendations will be welcome!
thanks!
Under 20 is gonna be a crap shoot. I use this one for backpacking and climbing trips. It's lighter than most solar chargers and I've had zero issues with it so far. It fully charges my N5 four times before it needs to be recharged.

For me I have a slew of portable chargers for my multiple devices, but I always revert to the Anker Slim ones. I have a 3200mAh one, my wife has claimed ownership of it so I had to buy another one. However, they don't make that older version, but now has the 4500mAh version. I always suggest these because they have a built in micro usb cable as well as usb ports to charge different devices.
I just ebayed it up and looks like they are running low on stock and I only see the 4500mAh version being sold for more than its worth lol. So hold off on it. I bought mine for $20 free shipping in the US.
Maybe get this? You can use your own cord, but the price is decent for 3000mAh. Not sure about shipping though.

Here's a well reviewed one. It's 4800 MAH, so only 2 full recharges, but that'll probably get you through most trips..
http://www.amazon.com/Targus-Generation-Smartphones-Warranty-APB27US/dp/B005MR5GCI/ref=pd_ybh_4
Even cheaper at newegg if you're okay with refurb
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...5&cm_re=targus_battery-_-75-986-455-_-Product
I bought this one http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CW5359E/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It's lipstick sized, and will only give you one charge, but it charges the phone very quickly. And is cheap.
I say spend a bit more and buy a quality Anker portable charger. Superb customer service in case you are having trouble with their portable batteries.
