Looking for a solid ROM/Kernel combo to get the most out of my battery on-screen-time-wise.. I was getting around 2.5-3 hours with toro 23 but after flashing 25 my on screen times have been seriously depressing. I haven't changed any major settings that would have, or should have rather, reflected this.. suggestions would be appreciated!
I use the latest franco kernel and Foxhound rom. Good for me so far.

That's some pretty serious battery life right there... but what im really looking for is on-screen time. Can you get me a screenshot with that?
I recommend leankernel 2.4
ROM doesn't matter that much but I'm on aokp
4h over 1 day everytime
I recommend AOKP last build (#27 at the moment) and Popcorn Kernel from sonicxml for the best battery life.
This was 13 hours and 50 minutes on Eagles Blood 1.9 and Franco kernel 15.2

HOLY ****! nice. reaaall nice, i like it. was this on wifi the whole time? I'm going to try this set up. thanks.
I would recommend aokp or liquid (roms)
with leankernel or minimalistic which ever you prefer to call it.
I can about 5 hour screen on time with 3g.

Can we have screentimes please + brightness settings?!
Anyone can do sod all with a phone for a while and get long battery life! Eg, last week:
I would like to know what ROM Kernel combos are getting best screen on time! Thats the major power consumer...
AOKP M4 + Franco Kernal M1
Almost exclusive use of wi-fi
Low brightness
No extended battery
Majority of time spent browsing fb/XDA/reddit:
Edit: Btw, I literally drop 1% over night, so if I use it on stand-by this would last forever.

Whats your definition of moderate? Screen brightness? Apps? Cpu intensive apps? Screen on time? Talk time? Stanby? wifi or data? Good signal bad signal?

I also used the Juggernaut and Darkside combo when I first got my phone but that was ages ago. Just before getting rid of my S2 I was using Jedi Mind Trick X3 and the kernel that's baked into it. It was loaded with features, smooth and had excellent battery life.

FYI.. everyone has a different experience with modems.. one person may be best with el29 another may be best with FDwhatever, and as far as roms go your probably going to hear alot of blazer, and calks.. battery life also depends on stuff in your phone.. like apps and settings.. 3g, wakelocks, background data, wifi.. all that kinda **** will vary your battery life..
you probably already know this, but just pointing it out.. trying to help out around here. =)

I've gotten the best battery life absolutely hands down on codename YMMV
I just went to calks e4gt 3.0 first time ive been on gingerbread since i got the phone bc as soon as i got it i went to ics lol. very smooth. calk always does amazing work. ill let you guys know how i end up and yea i usually dont mess with profiles seeing as how it already has a battery saver script but i usually roll with 3g off all day unless i wanna surf the internet a little bit then ill turn it on check fb..etc then turn it off drastic increase from having it on all day
I'm using blended ROM from from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=20166744 so far I've had excellent battery life.

Anybody find a nice trick pass that screen time barrier??? Most people reach 2 hours and it seems no one can pass that barrier.
The only thing you can affect and make better is when the phone is off.
The farthest I've reached is 2h 30m on a light day.

Lazy governor fiops IO scheduler I used voltage control to under volt and control the CPU. If you have been using interactive then that may be why your battery drains.

Can you prove it was black?
Anyways, I had AOKP B39 + Franco 196, and it was amazing. 5.5 hours sometimes, usually 5 hours as the 2nd post shows.
Usually never had data turned on for more than 30 minutes overall, but Wi-Fi was on for most of the time. CPU speed was at 192-1036 MHz. Never really got around to UVing, mostly forgot about it cause I got such great battery.

I've always had the understanding that your screen should use the most. Here is mine in HORRIBLE coverage (no bars and back and forth from 3G to 1x) normally my screen % is pretty close to yours. I am running aokp build 38 with auto brightness oc to 1113 max 245 min uv -1 step across the board with smartassV2 governor and noop scheduler.

Mine usually looks like yours. Only difference in our setups is I'm on the v10 kernel. (Not 10.5)
Another way to increase battery life/decrease that screen percentage is to use custom backlight settings and levels. I found some in a thread here a while back that helped my battery life significantly on the stock battery. Using the same setup as above poster and the custom backlight settings I get ~3 days on an extended battery with light usage.

I'm also running Aeroevan's CM9 (7/12), but using the 10.5 kernel. No overclocking, and I have the brightness on auto at all times. Have the wifi on when at home, scarcely have GPS on. Sync on all the time. I usually get two days of battery life, but at that point the battery goes down to under 10%, so I usually charge at least once a day to keep it higher.

I wonder which JB rom i should choose if i prefer smoothness before functions?
There are only twofunctions that i really want. First of all a T9 dialer is a requirement, I also want to change the Navbar hight so that the buttons get smaller.

Yes.
Like I always say, just go with stock if you want smoothest ROM. If you want more customization and such, that's where custom ROMs come in.
I also found that all the kernels that I've used (Stock, Air, Franco, Trinity, Popcorn) has about same battery life with some tweaks, such as undervolting, underclocking and such.

I love the extra options a custom kernel 'unlocks' though. As for the battery life, so far I haven't seen much (if any) difference between franco's kernel and stock.
Use AOKP build 1 with milestone 5 as my kernel, and i might say it flows like well butter. Tried Android Revolution Hd and AndroidMe Cm10 and found AOKP the best.

Both CM10 and AOKP feel the same to me. It's the kernel that makes the big performance differences.
As far as ROMs I like AOKP for the UI features and Franco works well for performance and battery.
