APP for Telephone LOG Seperation or builtin function? - Galaxy S II Themes and Apps

Hi,
I didn't know which section to post this in so i am posting here.
I use my mobile for both official and personal calls and at the end of the month i have to give detailed report of the official calls and non-official so i can bill my company for the official ones. Is there any application on android that for e.g. after you end the call popups a message "Work" or "Personal" , and it will mark that call accordingly and i can export the log later on?
Help will be appreciated.
BTW using Samsung Galaxy SII with 2.3.3 GingerBread ROOTED.
Thanks in advance.

Anniversary SMS (autosend)

Hi,
I am looking to find a simple utility that would send a pre-defined Birthday / Anniversary sms to my contact based on the dates already available in Windows Mobile Contact information.
I have tried searching on this forum and on the net but to no luck. Does anyone know of any such software. The closest I could get was RJ SMS Scheduler but it requires us to feed in a schedule. I wish to find something that can look up the contact list and pick dates itself.
Thanks,
Umesh

Message taken! you could say I am lazy, unintentionally though, mostly due to lack of time. Intentionally, I would like not to miss a single event of the 400+ contacts I have on my phone list.
Can only imagine how glad they would be to hear from me on their special days and how happy I would be to know that I would never miss any good wishes for any of my good friends.

I'm not sure, but I think this will do what you're asking:

I checked this software but it is quite similar to so many others available on net. It requires us to set up a schedule to send the sms to particular contacts.
Instead I am suggesting the app could pick dates itself from the Window Mobile's Contact List and send sms from templates, we create and save in there. This way we do not have to add birthdates / anniversaries to Contact List and then set up another scheduled sms through a third party application for our purpose.
I hope I have managed to explain what I am looking for.
Thanks,
Umesh.
Ah, I see what you're asking for now. I don't know of anything that can do that, but it would be a good idea!
Any thoughts from anyone else to share knowledge of such an application ?
Thanks.
Not that easy
I'm looking for such application since a long time, but no luck. The application should also consider the following requirements:
MUST HAVE:
- choose the correct phone number, cuz the text messages should be sent only if a mobile number is available for the specific contact;
NICE TO HAVE:
- built the text message with a variable string where automatically should put the name of the contact;
- should have the possiblity of exclude some contacts from the auto-SMS in order to avoid sending the pre-configured SMS to your girlfriend for example
Will see if someone can manage it in the future.
P.S.: I have more that 400 birthday to remember
Ciao!

Thanks Mohit for putting this together. I've set it on my system though had some issues with display on Touch HD but was able to use the controls and set it up. Couple of questions that I had in mind -
1. Does it have to be left running at all times or can I at least shove it off my running task list.
2. Every time I add a new contact and his / her birthday do I have to update this software too to add the new contact to it's list.
But otherwise it seems to be a nice piece of work.
Thanks,
Umesh.

Hi Umesh,
Thanks,
well no need to keep it running as i am using notification que to run it at the designated time. like an alarm. so u can just exit after setting up every thing from options->save n exit
and about updating new contact u just need to open the app and click options-> "add contacts bday", it will automatically fetch the new one and update it. also it will remember the last message u had set up.

Root Call Blocker - we need testers!

Hello, im the developer of Root Call Blocker, an advanced call and SMS blocking app for rooted phones.
The app is currently in open beta here at XDA:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1051274
I dont have a Galaxy S and need testers! Please let me know if you are interested in some hard-core testing and logging...
No takers? We really need more testers!
I was installed this apk (v0.9.9.1). All went fantastic good (block call, no delay, etc.). But after 2-3 days app slow down my system and crach. Idont know why and how... I must deinstall this very good app of my think....

Update to the latest version - yours is over 2 weeks old!
People, I could really use some feedback, as we have been working hard at solving outstanding issues on galaxy s phones.
Are sms replies blocked properly? Does the new logging method work?
Works.
But the calling person hears a spilt second tone on both reject & alternate reject. Need to work on that.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
You announced , you need testers for Root Call Blocker. OK, but i will apk in your thread, i really dont wont (and i cannot on my croatian region download your apk) go on Android market for downloading and testing. Can you put apk on your first post ???
Thanks
Regards

I could provide many things, and provide them i do.
How about a pretty please in return?
Updated, let me know if your issues are fixed please!
I was in the states and it worked fine on atrix there, thanks, saved me from the old ball and chain!
How is the new update - it should have fixed outstanding issues on the galaxy phones.
Work very well on SGS with firmware and others in signature, i cannot hear any ring if numer is blocked.....
Regards
Good to know, thanks!
Hi, sorry, but this is a translation of google translator.
To begin the work I want to thank you and tell you that the program is fantastic.
Now I mention a problem I have since version .09 to .11
I have a Galaxy_S with Darky 9.5 ROM.
When you check the "Start service on boot" and restart the terminal, marking is not maintained and I have to tick the option "Enable bloquing call" every time you reboot the phone and not being able to start the service itself.
Thanks again and best regards.
Works great on 2.3.3. Thanks a lot! =)

No problem, please thank us by leaving a nice comment on the market or getting the donate version
Well I tried the App yesterday, but I am not at all impressed with it, I mean it shouldn't be called Root Call Blocker! I Black listed my own number, and tested, there is still a small Ring coming, so the blocked user will more than easily understand the number is blocked. But in the application comment it was stated that it will be blocked from Network state! Anyway, that didn't happen for me.
It is still the fastest by miles mate! Noone will know youre blocking them - thats just paranoia.
Anyway, network state is defined by the answer to the ring. There is no other way. Even CM blocking works this way.

[Q] Texting Notification Actions App & Google VM + Call Log App?

Hi everyone!
I recently installed LiquidSmooth on my ROM, and I absolutely love the feature of being able to modify texts directly from notification center (Reply/Mark As Read/etc.). Unfortunately it doesn't support personalized notifications, though, for people [certain text sounds/LED colors for specific contacts], or call blocking.. I was wondering if anyone has discovered an alternative text messaging application which may allow this, or whether it's only available through native .. ): ..
I was also wondering if there is an alternative dialer that supports the Google Voicemail integration.. I've been using ExContacts, but it doesn't seem like they do.. [I like it for its swipe left/right for text/call]. I was going to just use ExContacts as my contacts manager and the native call log, but just wondering if there exists another call log application that supports Google VM?
[For LiquidSmooth Users -->] .. since I'm asking a gazillion questions as is.. wondering if anyone knows how to modify the strength of the vibrate? I see a "Vibrate Multiplier" option, but it doesn't modify all of my notifications [I noticed some apps have the option of modifying the strength, but others do not] .. Also, I know some people have been asking this, but have people discovered a way to lower the LED brightness for notifications?
(And I did do my best to Google/search forums/read threads, but I couldn't find answers to these questions.. ;-; .. I was going to post in the developer thread, but I realized I didn't have enough posts ^^;; .. but I will be trying to be more active so hopefully I can get there too so that I can post in the arguably more suitable sections :3)
Thanks so much for anyone who has thoughts/ideas! ^^ .. This forum has been very helpful and able to answer all my other questions so .. win! ^^

[Q] Looking fore Experienced app devoloper

Hey guys,
Company i work for is looking to get a call recording app developed that can encrypt the file and upload it to a url with a custom name. The app has to record all calls and then if possible verify the file was uploaded fully then be deleted from the phone.
Is this possible without rooting the phone.
If you are able to do this within time constraints contact me as soon as you can and if you have some previous examples of work send them on to me.
This is a payed job but only on completion and you would need to provide some time to allow for any issues or complications that we cant solve ourselves.
Thanks for Reading

Recording calls with Note 10+

I need to record calls for my job.
In my Note 8, italian CSC (which was recently stolen during a trip...sigh) i had installed an indian firmware after changing CSC thanks to XDA members and the clear instructions posted in the relative forum (https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...ording-wip-t3905737/post79009745#post79009745).
It's there a similar process for Note 10 and Note 10+? Someone can please post the instructions to do that?
I'm waiting to buy it because i've not still find the way to record calls (blame on **** Google)....
Or there is some other valid solutions?
Thanks in advance

The process is the same, you just need to use the correct combination file for your device.
Before you do that though, you may want to try using a 3rd party callrecorder app, since they now seem to work with the Note 10/+ to varying degrees.
See this thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-10+/help/call-recorder-app-t3960278
I use 'BoldBeast' on my Note 10 plus 5G and it works perfectly, some people report good results with 'ACR' but I found that the other party volume was lower compared to when using 'BoldBeast'.
The main thing is not to download from the 'Play Store', for 'ACR' download from the 'Galaxy Store' and download 'BoldBeast' from it's developers site.
Thanks!
I will try before 3d party applications...
just an answer: this applications recognize the recorded telephone numbers too? or the recorded contacts?
otherwise it would not be easy to quickly find a recording among the various archives (because I read that Google has also blocked the ability to recognize numbers and contacts for third-party applications)
I need to install a good spam filter too in my dialer, so waiting for suggestions about that too. (in indian firmware there was one by default in Note 8.... it's there in Note 10 too? in european firmware too?)
Thanks in advance

'BoldBeast' recognises numbers, the only drawback is that auto record is only available on the paid app, otherwise you just press the record button.
Also, no call recorder, native or 3rd party is able to record calls made over wifi.
Spam filter is a native feature in the Note 10/+ Exynos dialer.
---------- Post added at 11:39 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:02 AM ----------
Forgot to add, 'BoldBeast' recognises contacts too, so the answer is that it recognises both numbers and contacts.
Call recorder by skvalex is the best, in my opinion, or simply the built-in Samsung automatic call recorder, which you may enable in the stock phone app.
