I installed it today and set it up for a tablet as per the app's instructions, even shortened the confirmation time a bit, but it seems to not work for my A7 set-up (Dextermod 1.3, no additional patches).
Has anyone tried this app? Does it work for you?
Update: it just froze my tablet...all except the live wallpaper. With some acrobatics I was able to disable it and uninstall. It's too bad...seems like a great app. I would just like to know why the incompatibility?
Hi, Im the developer of the app. Lets see if we can fix your problem... you are the first I know of with the Elocity tablet!
You can use the free aLogcat app from the market. Run it, then Killswitch, then after the crash send the text you see to me via PM or to [email protected]
Ok, thanks I will try that. It should be a really convenient app to use.
Hello again, im working on improvements to Killswitch this week! Did you ever send the logcat?
We get a lot of them, and people often forget to name their device and problem so all we get is text!
I couldn't get it to do athing at all the second time so I never sent the log. I'll put VB kl ky try again soon. Thanks for your support.
Did you manage to fix the issue? my killswitch is working well now.
Hello, im the developer of Root Call Blocker, an advanced call and SMS blocking app for rooted phones.
The app is currently in open beta here at XDA:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1051274
I dont have a Galaxy S and need testers! Please let me know if you are interested in some hard-core testing and logging...
No takers? We really need more testers!
I was installed this apk (v0.9.9.1). All went fantastic good (block call, no delay, etc.). But after 2-3 days app slow down my system and crach. Idont know why and how... I must deinstall this very good app of my think....

Update to the latest version - yours is over 2 weeks old!
People, I could really use some feedback, as we have been working hard at solving outstanding issues on galaxy s phones.
Are sms replies blocked properly? Does the new logging method work?
Works.
But the calling person hears a spilt second tone on both reject & alternate reject. Need to work on that.

Good to know, thanks!
Hi, sorry, but this is a translation of google translator.
To begin the work I want to thank you and tell you that the program is fantastic.
Now I mention a problem I have since version .09 to .11
I have a Galaxy_S with Darky 9.5 ROM.
When you check the "Start service on boot" and restart the terminal, marking is not maintained and I have to tick the option "Enable bloquing call" every time you reboot the phone and not being able to start the service itself.
Thanks again and best regards.
Works great on 2.3.3. Thanks a lot! =)

No problem, please thank us by leaving a nice comment on the market or getting the donate version
Well I tried the App yesterday, but I am not at all impressed with it, I mean it shouldn't be called Root Call Blocker! I Black listed my own number, and tested, there is still a small Ring coming, so the blocked user will more than easily understand the number is blocked. But in the application comment it was stated that it will be blocked from Network state! Anyway, that didn't happen for me.
It is still the fastest by miles mate! Noone will know youre blocking them - thats just paranoia.
Anyway, network state is defined by the answer to the ring. There is no other way. Even CM blocking works this way.
Hey peeps

A few months ago, when I had to send a big video to a friend's phone and realized that Bluetooth really sucks, I found out about WiFi Direct.
I googled a lot, but could not find a way to get it to work on my phone, although the I9000 was officially called the "first phone certified with WiFi Direct".
As I'm interested in programming, I started to research what I could do to develop an app that could send files at similar speeds and finally found out WiFi Tethering could work in combination with a simple HTTP server.
I started to write on the app in my free time, got it nearly ready, but stopped working on it because it became quite busy at school.
In the meantime I had switched my phone, but in the holidays I picked up the project again, finished the app and published it on Google Play. It's available there since about two months and received an update recently.
I want to share this app with you guys now. It's free and I hope you'll find it useful.
The app allows for speeds of up to 32 Mbit/s, which means e.g. 1 Gigabyte in just over 4 minutes (depending on devices)
Features:
✔ Up to 20x speed of bluetooth
✔ The receiver is device-independent
✔ No need for a common Wi-Fi connection
✔ No data usage for file transfers
✔ The receiver does not have to have the app installed
✔ Send single or multiple files
✔ Easy to setup: Use QR codes to allow the receiver to easily connect to the wifi and open the receiving URL
Play Store Link:

APK: http://bit.ly/FastFileTransfer
I hope you find this useful!

Hi FD_
in next CM10 nightly WiFi direct will be removed.
Is this thing will affect your app ?

No, this won't affect Fast File Transfer.
As mentioned, the app uses WiFi tethering (and not WiFi direct) and therefore will still offer fast file transfers.
So don't worry if the next CM10 does not have WiFi Direct, just use Fast File Transfer instead
thank you very much, galaxy i9000 was first device with wifi direct but i had never use it, will try it tomorrow with friend of my. thank you one more time...
Is it possible to make out a way to receive files also... would be more useful then...
Btw the app is very good as now i can shut the mouth of my frnds who show off...
Edit : had to install app in frnds phone and all good in receiving too...
Is there any chance that in future versions, the step of opening the browser or QR code, no need to do it ?
I mean, I do not see the need to open the browser on your second device because the two devices are "connected".
The way that this now appears that the second device downloads the file and not the first device sends it.
I hope I have explained.
Sorry for my english
try the app and it seems working for me

You could send multiple files once and create a bookmark to the index page in the browser on the recipient device.
Maybe I'll implement a simple receiving part in the next version.

This is technically impossible without having an app installed on the recipient's device. Maybe the receiving part mentioned above will help you, but it will require the receiver to have the app installed, if he wants to benefit from the "fast receiving" function.
Thanks for all your praise
Very nice and handy app. Thank you.
Very nice, thnk you.
Thanks for this!
sounds nice
going to try
Hey guys, I'm trying to migrate the chat history from iPhone to my new N5X.
Anyone has already done yet: do you encounter any lag/issue once you've done that?
As far I am now, I managed to get ChatStorage.sqlite and others with ibackupbot (not allowed yet to post link to let you see all I can get)
According to what I've read, all I have to do is to install whatsapp on my nexus, delete the app, move to the same folder alternative in android and paste the ChatStorage.sqlite.
Is really so that simple? Do the database have the same coding/format? I know the existance of whatsappmigrator but i wanted to try without it.
First of all, I care about the snappy experience: it it will compromise that, stop me!
Second of all, any tips/advice/guide is very well appreciated, expecially if you have already done it!

Hello,
how about the auto backup? At least in the Android app, you can setup a weekly backup of the entire chat history in google drive. Then, when you login with the same account/number it should offer you to download those files.
I've migrated from an android phone to a newer one the last year, and I just copied the entire Whatsapp folder from the SD card to the same directory in the new phone storage. Then, when I first opened the app, it found the previous files and asked me if I wanted to import them. I don't know if the format is the same, but give it a try. You don't need to delete the app.. Go to settings, apps, find it and click clear data, and the next time you open it, it will be like when you just downloaded it.
Either one of the above ways should work.
