[Q] Texting Notification Actions App & Google VM + Call Log App? - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

Hi everyone!
I recently installed LiquidSmooth on my ROM, and I absolutely love the feature of being able to modify texts directly from notification center (Reply/Mark As Read/etc.). Unfortunately it doesn't support personalized notifications, though, for people [certain text sounds/LED colors for specific contacts], or call blocking.. I was wondering if anyone has discovered an alternative text messaging application which may allow this, or whether it's only available through native .. ): ..
I was also wondering if there is an alternative dialer that supports the Google Voicemail integration.. I've been using ExContacts, but it doesn't seem like they do.. [I like it for its swipe left/right for text/call]. I was going to just use ExContacts as my contacts manager and the native call log, but just wondering if there exists another call log application that supports Google VM?
[For LiquidSmooth Users -->] .. since I'm asking a gazillion questions as is.. wondering if anyone knows how to modify the strength of the vibrate? I see a "Vibrate Multiplier" option, but it doesn't modify all of my notifications [I noticed some apps have the option of modifying the strength, but others do not] .. Also, I know some people have been asking this, but have people discovered a way to lower the LED brightness for notifications?
(And I did do my best to Google/search forums/read threads, but I couldn't find answers to these questions.. ;-; .. I was going to post in the developer thread, but I realized I didn't have enough posts ^^;; .. but I will be trying to be more active so hopefully I can get there too so that I can post in the arguably more suitable sections :3)
Thanks so much for anyone who has thoughts/ideas! ^^ .. This forum has been very helpful and able to answer all my other questions so .. win! ^^

What rom are you using? as it could be a bug with that particular rom.
Have you tried posting in that thread with this question?

V2T - What's the verdict?

There is a lot of speculation and conflicting reports of how voice-to-text was implemented on the Desire. After reading every thread related to v2t, Im still totally confused
If you already have a handset, could you please tell us what the real story is with voice-to-text? No speculation, rumours etc please! If you are lucky enough to already have one, please help by answering these 2 questions?
1) Is voice-to-text available as a 'general' text input (in place of the on-screen keyboard)? I know there is a thread on how to enable it using an alternative keyboard but that's not what Im asking.
2) Is it available on all versions (unlocked, T-Mobile, Orange??)
To assist with getting a definitive answer to the second question, please include the carrier/store you bought your handset from.
Thanks in advance for your help!!
initially i thought this thread was about how good voice to text was, but then read your post. So i'll comment on both.
I got my desire direct from t mobile, and voice to text was not a function i could find. It wasn't until i downloaded the keyboard app referenced in other posts, and then switched to android keyboard instead of the stock htc keyboard, that i could find and use speech to text. I presume that the speech to text button was always present on the android keyboard and the extra keyboard app only activated the function which wasn't working before. However, as i only found out how to activate the android keyboard after i downloaded the extra keyboard app, I can't be too sure.
I can only issume that it would be the same for the generic ROM and other network ROM users. But from hearing about the people who have received the OTA update it seems that speech to text function may be changing or being disabled. I definitely hope not, though.
I used speech to text for half of this message. It seems to be working really well for me, despite what a lot of other people are saying. It's definitely not perfect, but i can see it as a function i will use often. I look forward to it getting better, and hope it will stay on the desire.

Get Rid of Unread Message Sound?

Ok... I have been searching for an answer and I cannot find this anywhere.
If I have an unread text message, when I reboot my phone I get this annoying "song" letting me know I have an unread text message. It does not stop until I unlock the phone and at least pull down the notification bar.
I think it is some version of the "over the horizon" jingle.. I have searched in the system/media folder to see if it is located there in order to delete it, however the only one that sounded similar was the acoustic "over the horizion" .ogg - but renaming that with .bak at the end did not rectify the problem.
Does anyone know where the system is pulling this sound from? I want to replace it with something a little more.. mature. Or get rid of it all together.
Any help is appreciated. If you don't know what I am talking about, please leave the thread for more experienced users to reply instead of cluttering it with questions.

It's not going to be easy to help you without asking a question, but I'll try.
Check the Notifications folder on intsd for the sound file. If not there, you can search for audio files with any file explorer to find it. But the folder you checked and the one I listed are going to be the most common places for notifications.
Stop using stock Samsung messaging app because it's garbage. In any case, you've overlooked a setting (in messenger app), probably.
I have already run a search using root explorer that covered the entire system, and did not find any .ogg or .wav sound files I had not already checked.
It's not a setting in the stock messaging app (which, btw, works perfectly for me and definitely better than any 3rd party messaging app IMO)
There's nothing in the internal SD card notification folder except for the facebook pop sound. Only a beginner would not have checked that.
This is why I said let more experienced users answer, preferable Devs who understand the architecture of the stock GS3 system folders.
The further I look into this issue, the more I am beginning to think it's a T-Mobile function that cannot be disabled in the stock ROM without modifying the ROM itself. I have found threads in other forums where it's even an issue in T-Mobile Windows phones.
I do however remember there was a way to disable it on one of my old phones.. either the MyTouch 4G or the SGS2.. but I cannot find the xda thread from way back then.
My search continues.. I will post any information I find out.
Update: Checked the build.prop file and I can see where the default "alarm_alert=Walk_in_the_forest.ogg" is called out, however I do not think this is the cause as that .ogg file does not sound like the alert I am hearing. I believe the line of code I am looking at only dictates the default alarm sound. Continuing to troubleshoot..

[Q] BlackJelly help - T9 Language

Hi
I would have put this under the BlackJelly thread in the dev forum, but it seems that I'm not yet allowed to post replied there. So, I'm posting here, in hopes for help.
I have a few issues, but I will open them up in seperate threads, as though they are all about basic issues w\ BlackJelly, they are still quite distinct.
I'll start off by saying that generally speaking, I LOVE this ROM. I do, however, have a few issues that I need to take care of.
One of those issues is the T9 dialer. I use it very often. My problem is that it is only in English and my contacts are stored mostly in Hebrew. Is there any way of adding this to the dialer? I prefer not to stay on the stock dialer and not use exdialer (or other third party dialers) for a few reasons: (1) If I theme the ROM, I'd want the dialer to also be themed, (2) I want the dialer to clear my missed call notifications. It doesn't quite do the trick with exdialer and (3) I'd generally prefer as little uncessary software installed, so two dialers is a bit excessive.
If there's no way to do it, I'd appreciate getting an answer as to how I can at least solve issue (2) (clearing notifications).
Thanks!

Wouldn't changing your device's language to hebrew fix your issue?
yes. But what if I simply dislike the Hebrew interface? I just need the Hebrew t9.
