You must flash the wifi modules of doomkernel in order to get the wifi back again.Just scroll down on doomkernel's thread and u'll find the modules.
Sh*t happens...
Every rom has its compatible kernels. If you flash the wrong kernel, it won't work. But then, you flash a new kernel, install your rom again and everything goes well. When you have wi-fi issues or something, you have to change your kernel or flash a patch through recovery.

Just got this phone, yesterday I updated it to 4.0.3 official, then 4.0.4, got it rooted and installed CWM recovery. The kernel was 2.6.32.9-perf. Now I wanted to try Arconium 8.2, applied 2 .zips, and now I get stuck on "Sony" bootscreen. Can't get to recovery, flashtool doesn't recognize it... What to do? I just want to go back on Gingerbread, some things on ICS were pissing me off.
My bootloader is locked and can't be unlocked.
EDIT: trying with UpdateService now, I'll report to you.
EDIT2: Repaired. Thanks for nothing

Yeah I realized that, now I'm on JJ's Hybrid 4.0.4 and I like it very much.
Hey guys, earlier I managed to sucessfully unlock the bootloaders and thought i might try to install one of DoomLords Kernals, the Kernal initially loaded and I went to install the wifi module zip. Afer I did that, I tried to reboot but the phone was not rebooting so I thought instead I would try to relock the bootloader anyway. I happened to have installed one img file from a video on Youtube regarding the Xperia S.
I think I might have installed the wrong img file and now I and now I can only enter the fastboot. Whatever I do i cannot get back into the system. I flashed a generic stock rom 2.3.4 just incase I had lost the system files, once I connect the phone to the computer the PC Companion seems to recognise the phone but I do not see anything?
What have I done wrong here and how do I fix this problem!!?!
Help will be well appriciated! Thanks!
PS: Sony Update Service says " The phone has modified software that cannot be updated ".
"What have I done wrong"??
U CAN'T randomly pick IMG files and flash like this buddy...you're lucky u don't have a brick.
Now I suggest you download the update manager from Sony and connect your phone go back to stock. Forget root, forget unlocked boot loaders..

Flash an ftf file, tutorials are everywere, and to relock the bootloader for our device you have to flash another ftf file somewere.
The method hasnt worked.... the phone still does not switch on.... here is the log data from flashtool...
Have u tried Sony's update manager??

I just fixed!! Thanks guys so much! I really appriciate your help!!

It seems that my only prolem now is that whenever i need to restart or switch on my phone, i need to remove the battery and put it back in. It seems to reboot quite often.

Why is this is the development section? Xda has rules for a reason, and you need to follow them. Moderator please move this to Q&A.
Sorry but when I realised I had posted it in the wrong section, it was too late. I tried to delete it but could not.

Try flashing a kernel and ROM that are definitely compatible.

The problem is that the kernel and rom don't match. XDark ICS is Ice Cream Sandwich, so you'll need an ICS kernel for it. And you can't really damage hardware by installing roms, unless you overclock it too far and your CPU overheats, but it'll take a lot to get it that hot.
i rooted my phone..installed a font changing software and my phone was gone...now the sony and the xperia logo comes and goes continuously..nothing happens..plz help..

Before attempting to flash, try this:
Remove the battery and put it back
Boot to CWM
Clear Dalvik Cache
Boot to system
I did face similar issue couple of times after flashing Ultimate Xperia HD and another ROM. But both times, clearing Dalvik Cache by booting to CWM and then booting to system did the trick. Try it out.
Hi everyone,
I hope you guys can help me with my problem.
I recently decided to root my Xperia S and put a custom rom on it.
The first thing i did was unlocking my bootloader following this tutorial --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1527159
Then i rooted the device with this tutorial --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=44918676&postcount=1
Instead of putting the 6.2.B.1.96_KernelOnly immediatly after the rooting process i first installed recovery using this tutorial --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2308493
Only after installing recovery i put the kernel back to 6.2.B.1.96.
After this my phone was fully working, rooted with unlocked bootloader and latest official version.
I wanted to try to install a custom rom on it and installed this one --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2476341 trough recovery.
I wasn't happy about this rom and wanted to try a different one but could not access the recovery anymore.
At this point i used an official 6.2.B.1.96 tft to install everything back to official. After this i noticed my root privileges were gone.
I wanted to root it back so i tried to follow the rooting tutorial again and flashed my kernel back to 6.2.B.0.211.
After this flash my screen turned black and i am not able to see anything on it.
My touchscreen and phone is still working as i hear the screenlock sound when i swipe my screen to unlock it.
I am still able to take pictures, to plug it on my computer (I see the pictures in DCIM) and flashmode and fastboot are still working.
I searched the past day on the net at tried everything i could find. I flashed again, tried with Emma, locked my bootloader again and tried with PCC but nothing works. Screen stays black.
Please, i hope you guys can guide me trough this process.
Thank you !
Update: I connected my phone with an HDMI cable to my tv and i can see my phone on the screen.
I am sure the phone is working.
Please guys help me, i have no idea what to do now.
