u can try "HFS file server" and use internet explorer

All WebFtp sites (Net2FTP) works with authorisation too. But, look for WP7 native FTP application.

Organising shortcuts

When I install new applications they all appear in the startmenu. I would like to move these to the application folder in the start menu.
I tried moving them in the file explorer on my pc, but this is not working.
How can I organise this?

Have your tried moving them (copy/cut and paste) using the File Explorer on the TP2? That should work.
i usually do file explorer on my PC and go into the windows folder and then into start menu and grab them from the programs folder...
Here's the easy way!
Check out LnkMgr v0.0.2.7
It allows you to create shortcuts for EXE's and categorize them en masse.

It says it does not support it. I dont think there is a way around this. There is no option to enter the password on your device. You have to open and unlock the doc on your cpu and turn the encryption off within the file, then transfer and view on your device. If you dont know how to do it then just open and unlock on your cpu copy and paste the body to a new doc. There is no support on how to decrypt a doc here because that is classified as "cracking", which is banned on this site. This is the only solution to your problem that I know of. Hope this helps!

Very nice! May I cook this into my ROM's?
Excellent job!
Why on earth diddn't HTC just do this in the first place?
IE just took Operas place as default browser on my PDA.
indeed, HTC decided that too They install Opera as default and don't care about IE anymore ...
thanks all.
_Madmatt, yes you can

android manager is what i use..it works great! u just install it on your computer and on your phone then sync wirelessly...
MyPhoneExplorer is my fav
Thanks very much!
I use Swiftp. Really nice speed, mounts as a FTP server
I used to use Android Manager until I came across snap n go.
it's remarkably good and clever. you just point your device to your file(s) and hit a button and bingo... you got your files!
it can also copy text, urls and copy files from your phone to your pc of course and it's faster than Android Manager.
It's a samsung app made specifically for sgs.

Easy transfer Phone <==> PC (via ftp wifi)

I've been having problems with my microSD card becoming inaccessible/'unformatted' using the supplied cable and pc usb connection, so thought I'd try it via ftp over wifi (or 3G)...after hacking something together I found a simple tutorial for Windows
http://www.trickyways.com/2010/09/how-to-transfer-files-between-android-computer-wireless/
All you need is an ftp-server app (SwiFTP here) and Windows (other OS easily adaptable I assume) and then follow the simple instructions.
One tip I have is the 'Stay within folder' setting in SwiFTP: set it to /mnt/sdcard/ to go straight to your micro sd card and start drag'n'dropping/deleting files as needed. [I now use File Expert app as it can start both FTP and HTTP servers, and SMB my pc ]

}
Furthermore, I've set up SyncBackPro to sync/backup the micro SD card contents to my pc.
Free, local, and cable-less backup.
