[Q] tilt2 + bt keyboard + sip=off = bt kbd first-row problem - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile General

Hi everyone. This is my first post, a question, and I have tried to find a solution, without success:
Components of problem:
a) I have an ATT Tilt2
b) I have a generic Bluetooth keyboard (same problem occurred with iGo Freedom Bluetooth keyboard)
c) there is no issue with the bluetooth connection to/from the keyboard
d) the problem is this
IF (the SIP is not displayed) THEN (the top row of the bluetooth keyboard, instead of producing NUMBERS, produces the SYMBOLS that are on top of the slide-out keyboard of the Tilt2)
IF (the SIP is displayed/visible) THEN (problem goes away, and when the keys on top of the bluetooth keyboard are pressed (numbers) the numbers correctly come through)
** so in some way, the invocation of the SIP corrects the "wrongness" of what happens on the first row of keys, of the bluetooth keyboard **
Here is what I have tried:
1) I tried to find an app that keeps the SIP "always on", so that I could keep using the bluetooth keyboard, without having to keep pressing the touchscreen to make the SIP re-appear........couldn't find one.
2) Tried different bluetooth keyboards (that is why i bought the generic BT keyboard, in hopes that same problem with the iGo keyboard would go away).....didn't help
Any help or direction-to-help is appreciated,
Peter

Wait, isn't the whole point of the TP2 is that it has a dedicated keyboard, so there's no need for a BT kb?
Sorry, I'm no help.

Did you try using the FN key with the top of your BT keyboard. Try that if you haven't.

Sounds like SIP alters the keyboard layout or keyboard state. Editing registry setting might help here. See the "status" value here:
hxxp://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms892476.aspx
or check for layouts:
hxxp://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms892476.aspx
Alternatively, it is possible to change the key mapping on WM, maybe you can create a mapping that works for you with and without SIP visible. hxxp://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/HTC_Rhodium/ChangingKeyboardLayout

VoiceCommand 1.6 and Ford integrated BT System

I think I read all of the VoiceCommand 1.6 & Bluetooth threads and tried any of the solutions (0.9f , manual regedit, BTVoiceCommand.exe ... )
But probably I missed something.
First question I could not find an answer for:
How is VoiceCommand supposed to be started after the fix:
a) Does it only work starting VoiceCommand with a Button on the Bluetooth device
b) Should it also work using a Button on the Hermes ?
If the answer is a): My Cars Device has a Button to start calls. If you do not dial a number, then this button redials the last called Number. Is this the right "command" that VoiceCommand listenes for to start ?
If not: Is there a possibility to change VoiceCommand to react to this "command" ?
Is there kind of a Bluetooth- Sniffer to find out, which commands are exchanged between the car and the phone to probably fix this ?
Am I totally wrong and all I need is another Version of WM6 ?
Can anyone help me ?
Thanx
Tode
P.S.: It did not work using the original WM5- OS from T-Mobile Germany, and (Radio 1.1x ) and it still does not work with Schaps WM6 3.30a in german, that I actually use (Radio 1.41.00.10)
Voice command can be activated from your hermes and indeed needs to be mapped to button five on the hermes which is the button on the left hand side below the ok button.
In all my many installations on the hermes it seems to map to button 1 (internet explorer) by default and needs to be changed in start>settings>personal>buttons.
My understanding - and I'm no expert - is that the button push on your bluetooth headset merely activates voice command. in order to do a 'redial' you need to activate VC and say 'redial'.
I would say VC overides the usual behaviour of headset and phone functions.
The 'button' you push on your car stereo would need to activate VC.
Never heard of such a sniffer but I assume that if it is set up correctly then the activation from the car stereo should replicate the button push from a headset and fire up VC.
Have you tried pairing a bluetooth headset first just to make sure VC and the fix has installed properly? It's very temperamental and I generally have to install it quite a few times before the combination of reg edits and power off/resets get it stable.
Oh and I forgot to say that if you have any evidence of Cyberon Voice Commander on the device it almost certainly wont work - seems to be a clash. I chose the cleanest rom I could find (LSVW) and had to remove all the voice commander cabs and fixes from the ext rom the hard reset. This seemed to work once I had added the reg edit to make sure the button was firing up BTVoiceCommand and not BTVCBasic.
found an old B-Speech Headset...
at the moment I am trying a Hard reset and Remove of all Cyberon- Registry Entries etc. Probably it will work with a "clean" new Install.
Thanx for your Tipps, I will tell if it worked.

ok... With my Bluetooth Headset I finally got it to work: I press the Button on the headset, and VoiceCommand starts correctly over the Headset.
BUT: The Button 5 still uses the Hermes' speaker / microphone.
AND: The button in my Car does NOT work the same: It does NOT start VoiceCommand but still recalls the last dialled Number.
So there are two possibilities for me to solve the Problem:
if I could make the Button 5 start Voicecommand over the Headset and NOT over the Handset, then my Problem would be solved. Does this work somehow ?
if I could make VoiceCommand react on the command comming from my Car, instead of redialling the last Number, then it would be ok as well.
Any suggestions ?
Thanx

Think Outside Bluetooth keyboard - nearly works with Touch Pro 2.

I had a Think Outside Stowaway Bluetooth keyboard for my old Palm Treo, and before I dispatched it to the box of old gadgets in the loft, I decided to try it with the Pro 2.
It paired no problem at all, and firing up PocketWord showed that it was all working as expected - typing, cursor keys, page up/down, ctrl-c and ctrl-v. However, a bit more playing revealed that everything was working except for using shift with the number keys and the period and comma. Shift with all other keys did what you expected, but shift with 0-9, period and comma produced the non-shifted character. This makes it pretty much useless - not being able to add punctuation is a bit of a drawback!
I downloaded the latest driver available from Think Outside (they no longer support their keyboards, so there is no specific driver for WM6), which installed fine, but then crashed the Bluetooth on the TP2 when it rebooted, so I uninstalled it again.
I've just tried the keyboard with a colleague's Nokia 5800, and the keyboard all works perfectly with the default Symbian BT keyboard drivers, so this looks like an issue with the WM default BT driver.
Anyone seen this problem? Any ideas for a fix? Are there any patches for the WM default BT driver?
Thanks in advance.
I have a fusi n560 and a keyboard like you have. It worked with the original wm 5.0 (fusi came with it). Than I have upgraded my pda to wm 6.0 (newplow's unofficial upgrade) and the keyboard still works. But I have installed the keyboard's driver to the pda as i did for wm 5.0. Even the bt mouse - from the same manufacturer - works with it, sharing the bt connection simultaneously with the keyboard. So imho it should work with wm6.0.

[Q] Why is my Bluetooth headset not working correct & keyboard

1) Skype & Bluetooth
1.1) When in a normal skype call my bluetooth headset work fine for audio but it ignores the microphone
1.2) When in a normal skype call and we switch to a video call or if someone calls with video it ignores my bluetooth headset & plays on speaker but if I insert wired earphones it comes through on them.
2) When I'm wanting to listen to the radio I can't use my bluetooth headset because the phone wants a cable inserted but if I insert wired earphones for signal but keep bluetooth on it ignores the bluetooth and plays onto the wired earphones.
3) My "slideout" keyboard doesn't work fully.
3.1) If I press the "FN" key and then press z it should do a £ but it will just to a z... a number of buttons are broken.
3.2) If I'm using Teamviewer or PhoneMyPC I can usually do Shift & a letter to create a capital letter but it doesn't let me, same for using the FN key to do numbers and symbols :/
3.3) Is there a replacment Keyboard app for the hardware slideout keyboard so that my "SYM" button has < and and other symbols... the symbols on the SYM button at the momemnt aren't ones i want >_<

[Q] Bluetooth Keyboard

I feel like I'm probably missing something obvious here, but I've got an Apple bluetooth keyboard paired with my A100, it says it's an input device, but it's not actually working as a keyboard. Swiftkey/the stock keyboard still pops up. From the stuff I've seen online, Honeycomb is just supposed to work with bluetooth keyboards once paired, but is there some obvious step I'm just missing in the process? Thanks!
Go to settings, Language and input on the left side, and hit current input method toward the bottom, see if Apple Bluetooth keyboard there.

[Q] Bluetooth Keyboard Question, Geek'n out

My question: When I use the Bluetooth keyboard I still get the onscreen keyboard popping up, is there a way to prevent this from happening?
Loving the GS3 so far, was able to connect natively a white Microsoft Bluetooth mouse and a compact bluetooth keyboard and both work pretty decent, although keys on keyboard are mapped to work with an ipad, looking for a better keyboard, but just used the one I had to test with.
I'm testing a complete "geek out" senario here, I manage a few websites for where I work, and I have the cisco VPN app and I'm able to connect to my work network, and both rdp and vnc into my pc and imac, it's cool esp if something needs to be updated in a pinch.
My only gripe is that the software keyboard takes up the whole MF'n screen in landscape view, I'd like to prevent that if possible when using a hardware keyboard.
On my epic 4G, the slide out keyboard disabled the onscreen from popping up, can I do something similar?
