[Q] Bluetooth Keyboard - Acer Iconia Tab A100

I feel like I'm probably missing something obvious here, but I've got an Apple bluetooth keyboard paired with my A100, it says it's an input device, but it's not actually working as a keyboard. Swiftkey/the stock keyboard still pops up. From the stuff I've seen online, Honeycomb is just supposed to work with bluetooth keyboards once paired, but is there some obvious step I'm just missing in the process? Thanks!

Go to settings, Language and input on the left side, and hit current input method toward the bottom, see if Apple Bluetooth keyboard there.

[Q] tilt2 + bt keyboard + sip=off = bt kbd first-row problem

Hi everyone. This is my first post, a question, and I have tried to find a solution, without success:
Components of problem:
a) I have an ATT Tilt2
b) I have a generic Bluetooth keyboard (same problem occurred with iGo Freedom Bluetooth keyboard)
c) there is no issue with the bluetooth connection to/from the keyboard
d) the problem is this
IF (the SIP is not displayed) THEN (the top row of the bluetooth keyboard, instead of producing NUMBERS, produces the SYMBOLS that are on top of the slide-out keyboard of the Tilt2)
IF (the SIP is displayed/visible) THEN (problem goes away, and when the keys on top of the bluetooth keyboard are pressed (numbers) the numbers correctly come through)
** so in some way, the invocation of the SIP corrects the "wrongness" of what happens on the first row of keys, of the bluetooth keyboard **
Here is what I have tried:
1) I tried to find an app that keeps the SIP "always on", so that I could keep using the bluetooth keyboard, without having to keep pressing the touchscreen to make the SIP re-appear........couldn't find one.
2) Tried different bluetooth keyboards (that is why i bought the generic BT keyboard, in hopes that same problem with the iGo keyboard would go away).....didn't help
Any help or direction-to-help is appreciated,
Peter
Wait, isn't the whole point of the TP2 is that it has a dedicated keyboard, so there's no need for a BT kb?
Sorry, I'm no help.

Did you try using the FN key with the top of your BT keyboard. Try that if you haven't.

Sounds like SIP alters the keyboard layout or keyboard state. Editing registry setting might help here. See the "status" value here:
hxxp://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms892476.aspx
or check for layouts:
hxxp://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms892476.aspx
Alternatively, it is possible to change the key mapping on WM, maybe you can create a mapping that works for you with and without SIP visible. hxxp://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/HTC_Rhodium/ChangingKeyboardLayout

[Q] Bluetooth Keyboard Question, Geek'n out

My question: When I use the Bluetooth keyboard I still get the onscreen keyboard popping up, is there a way to prevent this from happening?
Loving the GS3 so far, was able to connect natively a white Microsoft Bluetooth mouse and a compact bluetooth keyboard and both work pretty decent, although keys on keyboard are mapped to work with an ipad, looking for a better keyboard, but just used the one I had to test with.
I'm testing a complete "geek out" senario here, I manage a few websites for where I work, and I have the cisco VPN app and I'm able to connect to my work network, and both rdp and vnc into my pc and imac, it's cool esp if something needs to be updated in a pinch.
My only gripe is that the software keyboard takes up the whole MF'n screen in landscape view, I'd like to prevent that if possible when using a hardware keyboard.
On my epic 4G, the slide out keyboard disabled the onscreen from popping up, can I do something similar?

BT Keyboard Connection Issues

I have tried several keyboards with the same issue as follows.
I can't consistently pull the keyboard out of my bag, turn it on, and start typing. Is there a solution? I am currently using a ZaggFlex keyboard and have it switched to Android on the back. I do have it paired. I have tried the "bluetooth keyboard easyconnect" app. But I just can't seem to get any combo to work consistently.
Anybody having consistent success with bluetooth keyboards and your Galaxy Note?
I use the Logitech BT keyboard for android, it connects every time without fail.
Thanks for the reply. I may look at that one if JB doesn't help.

[Q] Need Help 2 Bluetooth devices on samsung galaxy s4

Yesterday I purchased a bluetooth mouse and a bluetooth keyboard to use on my new galaxy s4. When I connected both, I can move the mouse and use the keyboard but the keys get "stuck" and will keep sending the same letter. The mouse will intermittently stick and not update its location for a bit and then snap way out.
If I recall correctly it says that that the keyboard keeps reconnecting when it start repeating the key it is stuck on.
If I turn off one or the other device, neither the mouse or keyboard has any issues both function smoothly. Is this normal? Is there something I can do to fix this?
The phone's model number is SGH-M919. Its on android 4.2.2.
Kernel version 3.4.0-453951
Build number JDQ39.M919UVUAMDL
The keyboard is a Logitech Tablet Keyboard, I can't find any other way to describe it.
The mouse is an HP Bluetooth Mouse X4000b.
Thank you for any assistance!

[Q] Belkin Yourtype bluetooth keyboard

Greetings,
I just bought the Belkin Yourtype Bluetooth Keyboard and it pairs fine with my tablet but after about 5 seconds of typing it looks like I lose the connection as I no longer see any new text on the tablet while typing. If I keep typing I get a popup that says "Bluetooth keyboard connected" and I can resume typing for a few more characters.
The keyboard works fine on my Nexus 7, so is there a setting on the Sammy that I am missing, or is this an issue of bluetooth incompatibility?
Thanks,
Hackhound

It's a bluetooth bug. Pretty much any BT input device has this disconnect issue.
I was hoping this would be fixed with a software update, but I'm losing faith...

I have noticed this bug on my Note also. However, i feel it has something to do with the keyboard instead of my precious Note. I think it has something to do with the BT power management on the keyboard iteslf. I have tested with my wife's BT keyboard, which she has an Idea-pad with keyboard dock. I synced it with my Note 10.1 (2014 edition) just fine, and it says connected with NO issues, however on my brand new BT keyboard I purchased from Fry's, it has this stupid disconnecting issue.
My vote is with the BT keyboard, not out Notes.
