Is there any way possible to get the gps working on fb21 modem? im running a el29 rom from calk 2.9.1.... there was a fix for the el29 kernel that worked...Im new to the e4gt, only had it for less than 1 week... on the evo they had gps drivers you could flash in recovery that solved this issue....
U want to be on el29. Get a good GPS lock and then boot into recovery and flash the fb21 rom. It works. We used to do it on the original epic. That's how I got my gps to work. Good luck. Just make sure u have a good lock and don't turn off gps. Just boot into recovery, wipe everything and flash. Gps will work

I did this trick when flashing fb21 on dark ics my gps locks to about 15 ft from me so i can verify it works its locked in my backyard and im sitting on the couch which is against the back wall of my house my icon is even facing the same direction as my phone in a straight line from where im sitting just about 15 ft outside of the house which is pretty damn accurate
Edit: i flashed the fb21 modem on dark ics to clarify i was getting crap data on EL29 went from 100kbps to 1mbps on fb21 btw

Just wondering. Should i be on a el29 rom or modem or just a rom before i try flashing an fb21 rom to fix the gps?
Use the el29 modem the fb21 modem is what controls gps so u need to lock on el29 then flash fb21 i changed the modem only had to flash back to el29 lock gps and reflash fb21 to get my gps to lock better it was locking about 2 or 3 miles away prior to doing the fix now it locks within 15 ft when im indoors anf almost right on top of me outdoors

Fixed it without flashing another radio... Used GPS status free in market cleared GPS and download new GPS data now I lock on in 2 seconds

I'm running a rooted GB on EI22. Everything is working including 4G and wifi but 3G will not connect. I've reloaded my profile and reset my PRL via wifi. Put it in Airplane mode the turned it off. The 3G shows in the banner but won't connect. Any ideas?

there's your problem. if 4g connects.. use 4g and update your prl and profile and reboot your phone, then try it. it may be slightly slow at first, but after about 30secs, should really start kicking in.
I am able to run HD Dolphin and other applications on 4G however the moment I attempt to update my profile or PRL it drops the connection and errors out.

odin back to ec05 and then start the process over again. except when you do this, odin twice. and then try it. you may have to flash a different modem, like shadowkernel.

A modem and kernel are two entirely different things. Shadowkernel is not a modem.

On Calkulin's v1.3a, whenever I go to Internet - Menu - Downloads, Internet force closes on me. Anyone else have this problem?

Confirmed! It seems like it's a bug on fc24.
Good catch!
The same fc on cloned (modifoed) Calk's rom like tFC24 rom.

Works fine for me on sfhubs fc24 oneclick odin. No force closes here. Just my two cents.

Flashed FD02 rom today and this issue is not in FD02. Download function works well. Because current version is Stock rooted, we will see if this happens again on Tweaked Calk's FD02.
Works fine. On FD02

I just flashed the FE10 ICS ROM and now my GPS will not lock. Is the only work around is to flash the EL26, turn GPS on, get a lock, leave it on, then flash back the FE10?
I flashed the same rom from sfhub
And gps locked very quickly 20 meters and i was inside my apartment. So i think you should reflash fresh .

There is another possible fix that worked for me and a few others, but not everybody. Download fasterfix and gpsfix and run them in that order. I did this on Blend 2.1 and have never lost my 2 second lock, but again this hasn't worked for everybody.

Hmm i get great gps on ics. I can even get a lock from my bathroom which has no windows lol. It's better than el29 gps. Try clearing agps and updating it using gps test followed with a reboot.

+1 but I flashed back to EL29 & did it THAT way. I'm not taking ANY chances on my GPS not working...

I'm on Jellyverse FL16 modem, and stock recovery. For some reason my phone will load everything just fine while using 3G, but all of the sudden it won't load anything while on wifi.... and yes my wifi works and is perfectly fine... So I'm lost.

Anyone have any idea?

A suspect that the JB leaks have some wifi quirkiness which is kernel related.
I have a delay connecting to WiFi, at home I have two other androids and tablets, pc's, Roku's and everything connects instantly.
I switched from FK23 rom/kernel to a fl16 kernel and ga10 modem and have gotten some connectivity improvement. I'm also getting better deep sleep and excellent battery life.
Try switching kernels/modems it can't hurt.
Pp.

I've had this phone almost 2 years now and even had it replaced but the gps has never worked for me. I've tried other rooms kernels modems everything and gps only seems to work on stock roms. Does anyone have better luck or do I just have a bad device.

Get a lock on ypur device on a stock rom. Then reboot recovery. Do not turn off gps before rebooting. Then wipe and flash. If still having problems. Look into gps status and toolbox.

I'll try that it'll be a while before I have the ability to revert to stock but I'll reply when I get a chance. Just tired of being lost in town lol

No problem. Btw you can always do a backup of your current rom. Then wipe and flash any touchwiz rom. Doesn't have to be a complete stock rom. Then do the gps thing. Except instead of flashing a rom after you just restore your backup. I couldnt believe it actually worked when the devs first came out with that trick. In the mean time it wouldnt hurt to reset your gps data using gps status and toolbox.
