I have an old download that i deleted. It will not let me remove it from the notification bar. Somebody please help!!! How do I remove it for good? I've inluded a screenshot of the problem and my phone info. Thanks, Jacobs253
Disregard
I am relieved and a little embarrassed to say that I did not realize that downloads directly to the phone did not go to the sd card download file. I found and deleted the file. Sorry for the alarm!!

Try clearing data with Titanium Backup in Download Manager and reboot.

Why am I getting this message? I just did a clean install of my current rom with a new kernel. Clean wipe of everything. Google couldn't help me out either.

Sounds like the com.google.android.gallery3d file either got corrupted or removed. It however is one that should come back after a reboot and/or battery pulle and it should be fixed.
Please hit the thanks button if I helped
Neither.. still the same message. My Google+ photos are loaded though behind the error message.
if you have root explorer look in sdcard/android/data and see if the file I mentioned is listed there. If it is not the I would try the go under settings/apps/gallery and clear data and do the same for google+ then reboot. If that doesn't help then you may have to manually download it and place it there.
I was downloading a word document (.docx) from Gmail and the download has become stuck in my notification dropdown. The download has completed - progress bar is complete and the document can be viewed in downloads.
To resolve this I have attempted to clear the notification, delete the document from my phone, restart the phone, restart the phone including a battery pull, clearing the market cache (suggested from another site), and looking through the files on the phone on my computer in an attempt to find some type of temp notification bar file that I could just delete to no avail.
Does anyone know of a way to remove a notification manually from this phone? I really can't think of anything else to do.
Any help or suggestions are much appreciated.
Anyone?
Also, I'm running stock 4.0.2.
Have you tried deleting the entry from the Downloads App?
Yeah, thats what i meant by deleting it from the phone. Thanks.
Have you tried clearing the data from the download manager and/or downloads? Apps>filter:all download manager/downloads and clear data. See if that works.

Thats what I was looking for. Thanks!
I think it works the same way as a pending download that wont go away. I normally just clear the cache in the settings than exit out the app and it clears on my notification bar.

Didnt get you.
Go to download manager in app drawer, select the document that stucks at downloading, press the trash icon, profit.
Will the next nexus have a longer screen?

I am using Galaxy S2 by the way. There is this stock app called "Downloads" if thats what you mean by the download manager. There is no file shown here. So I cant trash it.
Hello to all!
At last few days, my phone start bugging.. First and biggest problem is that, all apps from SD card are unreachable( cant be loaded, but they are installed).. Also, other files are available on SD card.. Can preview pics, listen music, etc.. Also, few days before this problem, phone didnt open any pic and failed to load any video.. I dont know what I did, but that problem is gone..
Phone is rooted, and worked fine till now..
I must notice that this is happen after SD defragmentation.. Maybe I'm wrong, but that is last app I installed before problem..
Please, give me some options becouse I have alot apps installed and moved to SD.
Ty for any suggestions, all are welcome!
If you have apks than try to install them again.
If you don't have apks
Than u can find your installed apks here
just open any file manager
Go to
MNT>ASEC
just copy them
To sdcard and reinstall
we all should be polite enough to press thanks for anyone who helped US.
Your SD card has gone kaput. Try scan and fix through Windows. If it fixed, even then you may have to install apps again.
Ahh, ty guys..
I have apps on application menager, but icon is like unmounted SD card..
Also, I tried to defrag by PC, scan with NOD32, and nothing..
I have good progress in games, so it would be a pity to play them again.. Btw, if that is only way, I dont have to choose..
Feel free to give me some more recommendations..:good:
Guys, if someone can post me some good file menager with which I can see and "backup" list of apps and apps.. I have installed Kies, but they dont have ability for that..
Ty

Again, try saving the game folder on your PC and restoring after fresh install. It should work.
I tried today Mi File Explorer, and in APKs, I dont have all installed games.. Only few... Maybe I need to setup something?
Mi File Explorer shows the APK installer file and not the installed APKs. So if you need to backup your installed APK, then installed Airdroid first and then from web interface, select the games files you need to backup and you're done.
I tried to connect to Airdroid, but still no apps.. There are not on System apps too..
I also tried to format MMS, but nothing...
Ok, I downloaded a Root Browser Lite and in phone memory(I think, its first what I see when I open the app) in folder Data>data, I found app folders.. U can see in attachments.. What should I do now?
I put this hTC_Asia_AUS.zip to my sd card and install it. But the google account login is still there right after the installation of that .zip. any idea? this is the pictures i took while installing that hTC_Asia_AUS.zip
EDIT: i forgot to put proper title for this thread ill just repost this again after 20mins. Kindly delete this one thanks
My storage is increasing repeatedly without any apps or files!!
From 1 gb then 2 gb then 3gb then 4gb then 4.51 and is again increasing.
I don't know why
I don't have any unnecessary app or file or root!
Tried power off bit isn't fixed.
What is the problem?
what should i do?
is it necessary to perform reset or hard reset?
is this ever happened with anyone?
Please tell!
EDIT:SOLVED!
I have found the file!
Named passivedata.zipzip
I have deleted this file and now my storage is normal and as of now it's not increasing like before i think.
CAN ANYONE PLEASE EXPLAIN WHAT IS THIS FILE?
WILL IT AGAIN CREATE PROBLEM?
PLEASE HELP!
EDIT :SOLVED!
I'm sure there is one rough application installed on your phone ... Can you post the list of your installed apps ?
THANKS Jatinkhatri
Problem is solved.
@Yash24 please tell us which app caused the problem. If someone has the same problem, he could find your solution here and not only the question.
PROBLEM WAS CREATED BY MY JIO APP!
IT CREATES A FILE NAMEDPassivedatazip.zip Which is very Very big in size (4-5gb) and can eat the whole space of the device.
So you should delete that file and also uninstall MY JIO app. Because if you will not delete that file ,phone will become very slow and no storage will be left!
SO GUYS UNINSTALL THE MY JIO APP TO PREVENT THIS PROBLEM.
THANKS!
