Hi all,
My DHD is bricked (I think).
I turned off the DHD and never restart.
When I try to access to the recovery the phone vibrate 3 times and nothing on the screen.
When I send : "adb devices" it replies HT0xxxxxxxxxxx recovery.
I tried adb restast recovery but it is the same result: vibrate 3 times and orange blinking, nothing on the screen.
The HBOOT driver is installed and in the peripheral manager my DHD appears : android USB devices
What can I do ??
Help me please and sorry for my bad English !!
What eactly did you do with your phone before this happened?. Is it rooted?

I just switch off.
Yes it is rooted, I have the MIUI ROM.
Its not bricked. Most likely a. Hard.ware fault. Do you have warrenty on it. It needs repair or replace

Are you sure it was a battery problem? Coz my phone's vibrating 3 times as well.
In another forum, their phone supposedly vibrates 7 times, and theyve got a motherboard problem.
I just wanna know if mine is a problem with battery! :/
Hi, i'm a new desire user coming from wildfire.
The development of desire is very new to me so I need some help with it.. When i bought my desire it was already rooted by the previous owner, so how do I tell which HBOOT version mine is, the CM7 one or the stock one. Next, I was wondering if there was any battery mod that's free similiar to the CirclesMod by Hoolm. Lastly, is it very normal for the battery usage to be about 80% on screen and eveything else under 9% when you check about phone>Battery?
Please help me, thanks in advance~!
1st question. Turn phone off. Restart phone with volume down held and power on. Post everything the screen says.
The screen does usually chew up most of the battery

On my bootloader screen,
Bravo pvt3 ship s-on
Hboot 0.93.0001
So what's this?
And the battery drains so fast that I have to recharge after using 6-6 hours .. I tried calibrated but no difference.

as you are s ON you are on stock one... For battery mod try uot kitchen... Battery drain can be rom related... or Heavy usage?
I'm using stock rooted Rom so I doubt the battery is caused by the Rom.. is it better to use this mod that you recommend or flash a undervolted mod that is provided on the Rooted stock Rom thread page?
And thanks everyone for the advices so far, really appreciate it!

Hi i always go for under-volt as battery is better... so have a look in development which ROM you like.... at the moment im using cool3d sense aces s from coolexe... few modification posted by the other from the thread on top of that...
or try to flash new kernel from snq or bananacakes... they allow you to overclock and undervolt... MAKE BACK UP BEFORE FLASHING
Ok I shall take a look at the various kernels available. I have another problem now, whenever I charge my desire, it will never reach 100%, and only 99% as the maximum. I have calibrated the battery so I'm unsure why do I have this problem..

The one where i tried to charge it till full when powered off then wipe battery stats
99% is a normal issue (from personal experience).
Very rarely, I get it at 98%.
The trick is to unplug your charger, let it sit for a little while (let the percentage go down by 1 or 2) then recharge it. I also recommend you use an AC charger for this as I have found that I usually get this "problem" when charging from a computer.
I managed to solve this 99% glitch by reflashing the entire Rom... So its working fine now.
I was thinking of flashing other roms but seems they require partition of SD card.. I don't have a usb card reader so how can I partition it then?
Sorry I think I have never ending questions..

get a reader?
Swyped from my CM7.1 Desire using XDA Premium App
So means no other way to partition it? Cos I have a built in SD card reader but I can't seem to get it to work with Gparted...

You can partition your card in recovery also

Which recovery? I'm using clockworkmod recovery. Is it able to do so?
Sent from my HTC Desire using xda premium
In clockworkmod recovery 5.0.2.0 it is possible, but i guess older versions also should be able to do it also...
But i know for a fact that version 2.5.X.X can't, so if you are using so old version, then you can't...
Flash the latest recovery...

Try putting the sd card into the reader while Gparted is initializing.

OK so I think my DHD may have a software problem. When I use the HTC Internet application (to my knowledge this is the only app so far that does this) and I try to go back to the homescreen I get the HTC logo (I can still see the notification bar) and a box that says "Loading" with a spinner next to it, then it loads. What is this?

It means that your Sense Launcher is crashing and then reloading. This could be due to low memory.

Hmm... Any possible fix for this? The only thing that I don't like is this. Other than that my DHD has served me well

It is happening exactly the same to me, but I am on RCMIX 4.0 ICS themed.
I was thinking was depending on Juice-defender or memory management-patch (Killersloth).
Annoying but it is not a big problem. I noticed it happens when you have to press "back" button many times (due to the navigation history) to exit internet browser.
htc desire c (PL01110) only shows charging indication.....
sometime it will switch on automatically and switch off instantly....cant say when it will.....may be after 7hrs or one day.....
and cant go into boot mode.....
any solution?
Try posting in the desire c section.
