I've got a crash report with information about problems with loading image file from someone with HTC Desire. Could someone test if this game works on Desire:
https://market.android.com/details?id=magory.spiderhd2
And if it doesn't help me find the problem?
Works for me
Thanks. I had it reported three times, but maybe it was by one person with some problematic firmare. I suspect PNG files compatibility, I'll try changing them with next update and just check if the reports appear again...

this is the .cab that Ace Hellas gave to us before 10 minutes from HTC to solve the sd corruption
i do not have the problem but i hope to help all with this...
And I run and install all vague .cabs on my device!!
What is this supposed to be and where did you get it. Are you implying this is the fabled HTC fix, yet for some reason HTC have chosen not to release it themselves, but you have leaked it??????
Having just gone thru the SD card failure routine (followed by neccessary total rebuild!!), I'm keen to try anything to fix this "fault" on my O2 Orbit.....However, I'd love to know what this does before implementing the "solution".....
....I think what I'm trying to say is: if this is the solution then what was the definative problem? and what does this solution do?
Hope you can help and I really hope this fixes it...many thanks!
this file is a patch as i said is in the official web page of htc in Greece and it is on the site since 30 minutes
more info i will tell when i have something new
here it is but you must put first the imei of the ppc to have access

Thanks mastelos,
This file is only on Greece Qtek/HTC forum but there is no information about it on P3300 updates page. Maybe you could find out why? Is this an unofficial or made by Greek programmers patch - not send to HTC headquarter yet?
Cheers,
ace hellas doesnt put unofficial updates!its from HTC...they didnt say how it works..i just install it at my P3300,i hope it works!
Ok has anyone tried this yet??
Downloaded but not installing until I've seen some release details from HTC. I also am not sure if I should remove SDsentry before I install it....

I too have downloaded it but like you, I don't want to run it until either (1) HTC release some details or (2) somebody who has been brave enough to try it confirms that it doesn't do anything malicious.
I can't think of any reason why you would need to remove SDsentry first, though. All this does is put a file called sdsentry.txt in various important directories and then warns as soon as it has any problems reading any of these files (which suggests that the microSD card is corrupted).
guys i have it install for 3 hours now..
its nothing malicious..
for the corrupt problem until now its ok but its very soon to say that is really solved!
Ace Hellas is the official HTC provider in greece,i dont know why HTC didnt put at their site the patch yet but its real...
Yeh, I just loaded it up. Normally most cab files I install I get some message about unknown publishers etc. Not with this, It looks legitimate to me. I think htc watch this space so we can do an evaluation for them.
One more thing that has really been bugging my orbit has been the soft reset loop, after installing this cab my orbit went through only one cycle, maybe coincidence but that is the first time in months that that has happened.
I just installed it on a german p3300 - seems to work fine after install - i will see if there is any sd corrupption in the next weeks
Update:
Got bit late last night, But this morning orbit is 100% ok, again almost every morning I normally have a slight corruption in program files. Today all is good.
Not sure but I also think that maybe the thing is even reading the card a bit faster than it was.
Just a thought obvious to everyone, but Artemis was a Greek goddess, HTC must like Greece for some reason.

maybe this is the answer.....
well isend yesterday an e-mail to htc Greece to explain me if this an official or custom i'm waiting for answer
from my experience i believe this is an official patch because htc Greece never
gave to us a non official rom or anything one year now i use their products
i do not install the file because i do not have the corruption problem and i have 3300 from 27/9/2006 us you can see on my previews posts
i believe that they (htc Greece) recieve the file on friday afternoon and put it immediately on their site and from monday all the htc sites will have the patch
*sorry for bad english
Maybe not the UK, bank holiday monday.
I installed the patch last night. Now, almost 24 hours later, and after using my Orbit a lot, I have not had a single warning from SDsentry!
Installing the patch required a reboot. It shows up in the "Remove Programs" menu if you decide you want to get rid of it. So far, I can't see any reason why you would want to remove it.
Looks like Well Done, HTC!
Well after months of never having card corruption, it hit me last night, and as good to form, my backup on the PC was out of date. Thankfully the damage wasn't too bad.
So I've installed this patch, which goes on smoothly, as said above, it is signed so you don't have to agree to install it, and it is listed in remove programs as "HTC Patch DrvUpdate".
Theres no instant way of testing it I guess, as I had to wait months for my first corruption anyway.
Installed on 2 Orbits - no ill effects, I got "the bug" about once a week previously, will post back here if it happens again, fingers crossed...
Installed the Patch wich consists of the following file :
\windows\omap850_sdhc.dll
so that the original Rom files being superseded ....
Will see .....
I just successfully rooted my HTC Desire HD and flashed the android revolution HD 6.3.1. (Thanks to the author)
However, after booting, I no longer have the HTC start up sound. I have checked a few threads about this with no success. There are many threads on disabling the start up sound, but nothing that provides a fix for my siuation.
Another site recommended going into the media file and do as follows:
media/notifications/bootanimation and rename the andoid_audio.mp3
My situation is...... after notifications, there is no bootanimation or android_audio.mp3
Has the rom flash deleted this file? Is it located somewhere else? I used both my PC and file manager extensively to locate this but I cannot.
I am hoping that someone else has had this same problem and a solution or if anyone might know how I can fix this missing file.
Hoping patiently

We rom devs usually move the respective files to /data/data. If it's there, and bootanimation/sound is not activated at boot, it means there's a missing symlink/improperly mounted ext partition. Ask your dev how to proceed, as the symlinks are usually different for each rom
I flashed android revolution HD 6.3.1
Would you be able to direct me to the proper location to report my problem?
@ Raymond Ebertt
The ARHD is for Desire HD and such , not for HTC DESIRE !! Ask Mike about your problem this is the thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=840040
My friend why dont u install the stock rooted 3.12.405.1 rom that was posted a few days ago. Ive tried arhd and the stock one feels way smoother. Im on it currently nd it has the stock boot stuff.
@mitzap... My phone is the HTC Desire HD, however, I will follow your suggestion and ask Mike at that thread this evening after work.
Thanks
I tried your suggestion and all my HTC Desire HD does is open the HTC home screen, closes, opens again, and does so for several minutes. No success on that one.....
Raymond, you had better open your issue on the DHD forum. When I answered your query, I was under the impression that your device is a Desire.
Problem fixed. Thanks all for suggestions
Can someone share their data/misc/wifi folder contents? i am in a desperate need of those files cause my wifi is dead for over 2 months now, and when i try to turn it up it says Error, also the MAC address is unavailable and i did lots of things to try to fix it up with no success, and this is my last try. Please help?
P.S: Sorry for my english, i'm romanian :|
Are You A Root User? If So Try To Change Your Rom it should fix the thing
yeah i am a root user. The thing is that everything worked well until at one point the phone became unresponsive so i pulled the battery out; when i inserted the battery back the phone went into a bootloop so i flashed another rom. The problem is kinda old now, 2 months, and i ran out of ideas; I flashed countless radios cause someone told me that it might be a bad radio flash, idk, i changed lots of roms in these 2 months with no positive result, i even reverted to stock using a RUU but that didn't help either...I saw yesterday a thread somewhere that in that folder it's stored the WiFi configuration of the device, and my phone doesn't show me the MAC address in the About Phone and that folder is empty, so i was thinking that that might be the problem :/
Well Im Not An expert but try factory reset besides Bro the wifi antenna is located inside the battery so not sure if you broke or damage it i suggest you go for htc center and let them check the antenna for You cz from what i knew from you you tried everything
that would be the last solution xD i will see what i will do with it

Hello guys,i just wanted to know how to get the error log out of my device? I mean, where can i find it? For the past 4 or 5 weeks my phone randomly restarts and ask me if i want to send the error report to HTC,of course i send it but i wanted to know how to get it myself on my PC.Maybe somebody here knows what is wrong with my device and could help me stop this restarts that my phone has because HTC have no response for me after several emails.I think it's a software problem and not a hardware problem.I keep reading the forum about the hardware malfunctions that other people have but my device has none of the simtoms that the other people have with the hardware faults,so this is posibly just a software problem.
Thank you,and sorry for the long post.
First off.. thank you to anyone who can help me. I am new here so let me know if I need to post somewhere else or haven't followed the community guidlines.
TLDR: My girlfriend's asus zenfone 2 is stuck resetting and only gets as far as the asus logo with the white load circle (sometimes)
I have created a breakdown with images of the problem on google drive.. not sure if I can post links in here? but I will try:
scratch that.. I cant because of spam filters... okay so I will tweet a link and if anyone is so inclined, my twitter is open and @camcamkennedy. I will pin the tweet. I know I am asking a lot
I will copy the text of my google docs here but the google doc has images matching the text
First of all… thank you to whoever is reading this and trying to help. I will try to outline the issues going on with my girlfriend’s phone, and what I have done attempting to fix it
The phone lost reception and she tried restarting it
It wont restart, simply loops between the asus loading screen, goes black, vibrates, then back to the loading screen. (sometimes getting as far as the circular dots, sometimes not) The phone asus logo also doesnt render cleanly.. It appears choppy.
I have tried to use adb to “sideload” the newest version of the asus operating system “Version WW-21.40.1220.1615(andriod M)” from Asus’ website
Link to asus site:
Link to video I used:
The sideload was complete and didn’t give me any errors
Upon restarting my phone, the same issues with persisted
I then tried to sideload the second newest version from asus’ website but it didn’t work…
I assume this is because I have a newer version installed but what I was hoping to do was instal a later version in case it worked… is there a way I can do this? (any tutorials or videos would be helpful so I dont get too overwhelmed)
Additionally I can not wipe my cache or do a data reset .. something about my “asdf recovery/last_log”
So this is the current phone info… I am by no means a developer or at the level of “techy” that anyone here is, but I hope someone here can help me out and give me some advice. Even if its just some info or direction about what these errors might be about
Thank you to ANYONE who can help me
I can fix it if you let me borrow your girlfriend

Bit of a pain but it saved one of my kid's zenfone
1. Boot to bootloader
2. Use a tethered TWRP (the one from the post for root and tethered twrp for the MM beta works great)
3. Make a backup and include everything - and have it save that backup on the sd card!
4. http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/general/guide-brick-soft-hard-bricked-zenfone-2-t3284256 go ahead and unbrick (I know it is a pain but it works)
5. Once it is up and running let it do the system updates - don't even worry about reinstalling apps just get all the system updates
6. Use the tethered TWRP again and restore the saved backup from step 2
7. Brag to your girlfriend that you can fix anything
This saved a zenfone that a teenager who is not exactly computer literate tried to root and somehow messed up - it should solve your problem
