I found 2-3 major and some other sense 3.5 ROM-s. As I understand Runny, Revolution and Virtuous are the most famous ones, I wonder which one is faster and provides smoother experience and what actual differences those 3 have.

I think with the right tweeks, Virtuous Affinity is my favorite Sense 3.5 ROM. For the record, I use Supercharger, Swap, SetCPU, Ultrasmooth Rosie, disable 3d widgets, only have 3 homescreen panels, and have CacheMate & Supercharger Engine flush run every 6 hours. I don't get "sleep of death," returning to homescreen is usually very quick, I don't lose or resend texts, and in general everything is very stable. It's not as fast as stock CM7 or anything, but I'm comfortable using it on an everyday basis, which I couldn't say the same for Android Revolution. Having Virtuous tweeks is a big plus

This is a very good review list! I wish it could get sticky'd, I hadn't seen it before you pointed it out in this thread. I agree with most of your reviews

Well, Ive been using some ROM Sense 2.1 + 3.0 and extremely love it (light and
effective). Now official GB for DesireZ is out but with Sense 2.1 only.
I want to insert some 3.0 features to new GB ROM with Sense 2.1 (like RMK's or Virtuous 2.0) (considered stable).
The problem is I can't find a tutorial anywhere. Can someone help me on this?
just switch to the new Virtuous Sense ROM that came out yesterday from rmk40, i dont like sense but from what the description says it seems like what your looking for
sorry for misunderstanding man, post edited
i've tried virtuous unity.. sense 3.0 is nice, but too much für the desire Z, so i went back to sense 2.1
the only feature I really miss, is the lockscreen with this nice weather preview..

Hi everyone,
Any suggestions for ROMs to try out on my Desire?
I've run both cyanogen and MIUI and I like them both... but trying some more out would be fun too.
A link to any suggested ROMs would also be appreciated.
Oxygen 2.3.1 with GO Launcher EX. (GB 2.3.7)
http://forum.oxygen.im/viewforum.php?id=7
for trackball wakeup: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1063578
I'm Using Oxygen for a long time now.
even thought it isn't heavily customizeable as the CM7,
it has enough feature as setCPU, power widgets on top...
but! the main feature is speed. it's working extremely smooth, and latest gingerbread.
i love it.
I've used and tried a lot of roms for both AOSP and Sense. I do prefer AOSP. I used to use CM7 but I use MIUI now. Want keen on other AOSP roms.
Punched in..
At the moment I´m testing between Revolution 1.7 and Runny 3.x
Revolution seems stable, but sense 3.5 looks good.

Looks interesting, I'll give it a try. I find MIUI very smooth too, and the battery life is also great.
I dont think you even need to guess what ROM I use
I'm using this sense 3.5 candy.
Stock GB by Neophyte. And I'm through with constant flashing. I had enough of that nice big cup of bugs.
SwiftKeyed from my HTC Desire using XDA App.
GingerVillain 3.3 (aosp), RT's 3.1 HAVS kernel, Go Launcher Ex.
Smooth, stable, no lags or fc's, good battery life, launcher is highly customizable. Keep trying Sense rom's (3.0 and 3.5) but always come back to this
Cyanogen 7.1 and I love it.
Insertcoin Sense 1.1.3..
...although I'm getting tempted by Sense 3.5 Roms.
I use Redux 2 . Clean, fast, stable.
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks
Moving to Q&A
AOSP ROMs are the best for me (IMHO, sense roms are too overloaded) and there it's currently rootSU's dGB rom which is the best for me. Smooth (smoothest AOSP ever used), clean (uses only 60 MB of /system), stable and very nice battery life with ManU 1.4 (kernel)vipermod (for lowering CPU voltage) and setcpu (for controlling cpu frequencies).
But maybe I will test redux in the near future, because it was my first AOSP rom and I liked it very much. However, dGB hasn't given me any reason to this yet.
I thought you'd gone to cm7.1?

I'm using this one as well, currently version 3.6. Fast and stable, only minor bugs, looking forward to 4.0 w/ wifi fixed! Wish it had Google CarMode preinstalled though, can't get it running. And hope the bootlogo gets changed, that jingle is annoying.

I love Sense ROMs, but I hate Rosie. The polish of the core apps is worth sticking with a Sense ROM, but i much prefer any other launcher.
Having said that, what is the best / smoothest Sense ROM to use? The 3D stuff isn't as important to me as I will change the launcher.
Then change the launcher.

Of course I will change the launcher.. but the question was more geared towards asking "what sense ROM is the best, assuming I won't be running rosie".
I went with Runnymede v5 and it is excellent. Love everything about this sense rom, except rosie of course!
I made a lite version, stripping out Rosie and all of the htc widgets and bloatware.. running very smooth.
Well theres your answer then, if its the latest sense lockscreen you want. I hear Runnymede is smoother than the sense 3.0 roms.
If you're not bothered about lockscreen though, Probably one based on GB 2.3.3 will be smoothest.

Not really bothered by the lock screen as I use WidgetLocker and I can get the Sense 3 lockscreen sliders.
very happy.. I get the best of both worlds.
I'm with Runny 5.2 with ad2sdx-1.0-RC01 Cript by amarullz And this is the best sense 3.5 rom i've ever had ... try it

Yeah, i'm using it, but I find that I sometimes get some lag spikes. I don't know if it is because of that ADX2SDX script, (using a class 6 sdcard)..not sure if it us quick enough to deal with ext4. Perhaps I'll try flashing the latest and see what happens.

Blackout ICS Incredible v3.1.0
Sabsa Bliss v1.0
I think every Sense ROM has Beats..
I would personally suggest you trickdroid 1.0 with Sense 4 lite and full. It is ICS obviously and combines a mixture of full sense 4 and sense 4 lite in order to enjoy full sense as well as speed. I'm downloading this right now as well.
I would say you either try this rom due to it being Sense 4 rom or Ice Cold sandwich because sense 3.6 is pretty much same as sense 3.5 and sense 3.0

It'll be back up soon, the mod's are giving it a quick run through (there was some Q&A thread about it, search for it, probably on the first page)
But that said, pretty much every ROM with sense has it, or has the capability to get it. Since the latest update to blackout, all working 3.6 ROMs have it. And all sense 4a ROMs should have it, if it doesn't, there's a tweak for it.

Hi,
I know there is the Index and lot's of other Threads like this and there is also your friend called search and google. But after tring to make my own ROM - and failing with this - i'm now looking for a ROM like this:
- Fully working (3G, GPS, Market, Wi-Fi, Camera, Active Sync,...)
- I don't need the radio if this feature is not available.
- A really clean ROM. So no brandings, no tweaks, or something like this.
- an A2SD script. I don't care whether it's amalruz, or Dark tremor, or what ever. It should work and that's it.
- Sense ROM. If possible Sense 4.x () But if not possible i would also take 3.x. I defently should have the Lock Ring.
I hope you can help me there to found a ROM
Thank you
This one is good

Is there a Sense 4 theme for the ROM??
Yes I believe there is... There's even a sense 5 theme I think

Yes i found a Sense 3 Theme and the Sense 5 Theme, but Sense 5 seams to be like 3 for me
Did someone knows an download for Sense 4 theme??
Some of your requirements exclude each other. If you wish clean, stable and fast I'd use Cool sense v3 or An-Droid which I used for over a year. If ring is a must - which is a hack per se and thus excludes some other requirements, most likely I'd use Alex V rom. Usually clean, stable and no tweaks can't be put in the same sentence with higher Sense versions.

Try the rom in my signature. Fast sense with lock ring.
Thank you for all your posts. The ROMs look all great i'll try them and take the one i like
