download a different browser and delete them through that browsre and you should be good
I figured it out. I downloaded Bookmark SB and allowed me to remove the stock bookmarks. Thank you for the help though.

You can also use kies air to delete the stock bookmarks.

I used Slinky1914's method and downloaded "Bookmark Sort & Backup" from the Play store (got the free version). Worked great and you can obviously reorder your bookmarks. Got rid of the stock AT&T Bookmarks (which remained after I switched to ClearROM).
I saw another post where someone said they used Kies to delete the stock bookmarks, I looked and looked but could not find anything in Kies that would let me do anything but backup and restore network setting (which includes, among other things, bookmarks).
Maybe someone who has used the Kies method could explain a little how they did it, otherwise Bookmark Sort & Backup is a quick and easy fix also.

Is it me? Or does the bloater app just hardly ever work? I have to click on T-Mobile SGS2 about 32424 times just to get the 2 sub directories:
T-mobile apps and Samsung apps
then
One I get into one of those it seems like no matter what I try to un-install hangs indefinitely and does nothing un-till I hit the home button. Thus not removing what I selected. I can just never get this APK to work. I'm running Juggernaut 5.0 with the KOBALT theme. What I'm trying to get rid of are some of the Samsung widgets like:

never had much luck with bloater either. the apps it did restore were outdated versions of what the market had already. the apps it tried to delete disnt get deleted.
use ti backup if bloater doesnt work.

Agreed on Titanium Backup. I ate the price of Pro long ago, because it was the only thing that has always worked every time for me.

Ok sold. I'll go buy the Titanium pro app. Only thing about it is I can never seem to figure out how it works. Someone want to give me a quick walk through?
*EDIT*
Nevermind figured it out. WAY better then bloater

TIA!

In the market there is an app named MyBookmarks. This will give you the ability to delete the pre loaded bookmarks.
You don't need any apps from the market to delete those bookmarks. Just go to applications - browser - clear data. Open your browser and go to bookmarks. Long press on bookmark and choose delete. I learned this a few months ago, very useful. Hope this helps you.

Awesome tip!
You've known this for months and you didn't tell ME? LOL!
Great tip, it works!!! I hated those damn things.
However I'm easily confused LOL...... so to clarify.....
Settings > Application manager > All > Internet > Clear Data
Then go to the bookmark page and long press and delete! Yay!
This is gonna clear your favorites and homepage, a small price to pay.

So I'm coming from an HTC phone and I have a TON of bookmarks stored on my browser that I want to transfer over to my new phone. My question is, where can I find my browsers bookmarks using file explorer so that I can zip it up in a file to send to my phones browser? Or is there a better, easier way to do this??
Please help

I'm going to be rooting mine and my girlfriends phone in the next few days. I wanted to see about removing the Bloatware on the phones once they are rooted. Is there anything special I need to download to be able to remove them? I have most of them disabled but would like to totally get rid if them. I searched all over for an answer but was unable to find one.
Thanks in advance.

Titanium backup. Just download it from the play store and that will do the trick. Search the forum to see which apps are safe to remove tho.
Sent from my SGH-T999
Titanium backup. It allows you to uninstall anything. If you are not sure about a program, you can freeze it, which will not allow the program to run, then if no problems occur it can be uninstalled. if you search, you can find an ongoing list of programs safe to delete
Thank you guys, I ended up getting the pro version and will search for that list of apps you talkrd about and go from there.

you can try getting a stock rom that's been cleaned of bloatware?
Thanks, I didn't know I could do that with tb gonna try it

You can't do that with TB. Find these bloatware-free ROMs in the android dev forum.
Is there anyway to clear the clipboard on the Galaxy S 3? I am no longer able to copy and paste and everytime I try to on the stock internet browser or Google Chrome it crashes. I read online the crash is due to the clipboard being full but I'm unable to find out exactly how to clear it.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
If you hold the mic button down on the stock Samsung keyboard a pop-up will come up with choices, one of those choices is your past saved clipboard. You can delete them by holding down on each one and hit delete.
Good Luck

I have not rooted mine yet and I also use Swiftkey 3. I cleared my clipboard by holding down the mic on the stock Samsung keyboard and several possibilities popped up and one was the clipboard and clipboard history. I simply long pressed on each clipboard I wanted to delete and hit delete. It worked just as I described. Maybe you didn't click the proper pop up. Could you see the past clipboards you had used? I had about 5 I think that I deleted.
Good Luck,
Vinny

Nope I couldn't see the past ones, but I did follow it step by step like he said. I did find out that that the GS3 has a bug when it comes to the clipboard and a ton of people could not delete it unless the rooted and did it through root explorer. Im happy now, the clipboard is clear, im rooted and I can always use root explorer to fix the problem if it happens again.

What's the state of adobe flash support on this device?
Theres supposedly a new version of adobe flash player, including for android, including for "Androud 4 and above"
http://arstechnica.com/security/201...-update-for-attacks-on-windows-mac-users/#p3n
I definitely installed an apk named adobe flash installer ics only days ago after flashing stock rooted MA5, and there is a flash player settings icon in my app drawer, although it just goes to a web page not to a local app, and adobe flash does not appear anywhere in market, not even in "my apps". And when I go to the link "To see what version of Flash your computer is running.", it says "You have version 11,1,115,36 installed."
It shows in Titanium backup too as 11.1.115.36 installed.
Yet when I go to the download page:
http://www.adobe.com/m/flashplayer/android.html
It just says sorry you need flash installed.
According to some of the comments on that Ars article the version numbers are questionable so maybe I somehow already have the latest version or maybe the article got the numbers wrong.
But basically, what is the state of flash on this device? Is it just that the stock browser doesn't support it even if it's installed? Does Chrome or some other browser work?

Chrome does not work with flash, but there are a handful of browsers that do. Personally I use Firefox when I have to do something with flash, but I use Chrome for everything else.
Tip: make sure to enable plugins in the settings of whichever browser you decide to use.
As far as the new version - I don't know anything about it. I'll have to check that out.
The state of Adobe Flash is that it is semi-abandonware. Only fixes from Adobe are critical security fixes, with dev effort halted as of August 2012 (before out N2 was even released)....Flash even working on our note at all is a fluke from Adobe's point of view.
i wouldn't care about this subject at all, except the NHL websites all use f*cking flash for the highlight/fight vids. annoying.

install NHL GameCenter and FakeGPS. it's a winning combo. I suggest being one with the Chinese.
I assume you should be fine with that using a US NHL subscription. I have an international one

---------- Post added at 05:53 AM ---------- Previous post was at 05:49 AM ----------
There is a nice thread in the Intneral GN2 on this topic, and the guy posts a direct link for the APK from Adobe.
As the other guy, you need to use a Flash friendly browser. I'm use Boat, since it's a light browser and works. The other two that would work, that I know of are Firefox (mentioned earlier) and Dolphin. If you can get it to work, I found Dolphin, on my Evo4G, worked best with Flash. Firefox worked, but was really so to load. Boat works fine, but I haven't thoroughly tested it.
Overall, I find Flash experience and performance to be site dependent Some sites, works like a charm. Others, well..., they're less than desirable with odd issues that came up such as no picture if you go full screen.

Here's the link that I use on all androids with 4.0 up. No problems with flash on stock browser after installation.
Download and install with a file manager. Root not necessary.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/w2s6vcaa8ks14ut/install_flash_player_ics.apk
Settings advanced plugins is already "always on". There is no flash-specific setting anywhere.
Are any of you with working flash in the stock browser on ma5? Maybe the browser in ma5 has all support stripped out?
That download was for 11.1.115.20
It didn't work any better so I think people should install the latest 11.1.115.37 unless we can show that there is some situation where the old version works while the new one does not. It was a security update after all and it was bad enough that they actually updated a product they already said they were never updating again. It is handy to have old versions to refer to sometimes though so thanks for that.
Sent from my SPH-L900 using xda premium
Annnd now it's working. Stock browser in MA5 with flash 11.1.115.37 installed, the adobe flash test page actually works. The Sprint speed test page also works.
I wish we could nail down exactly how to make it work and document it explicitly.
Why didn't it work for me before? Why does it work now?
The only things I did in the last few minutes were: installed dolphin, dolphin beta, firefox, firefox beta, and xscope pro (i had purchased that way back on the og evo but never really used it since then) and tried to load up the test page in everything but xscope, just hadn't got that far yet when I tried the stock browser again just to double check and compare the exact appearance. Possibly one of the other browser installs did something to flash to make it work? Maybe installing that 11.1.115.20 version did something after all even though it was replaced again? I haven't even rebooted.
